She had our palettes and brushes set out, wipes for cleaning, and aprons to protect our clothes. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot as we are completely novice painters! She showed us how to use the knife and brushes to achieve different painting techniques by demonstrating and then helping out when, surprise, we were not perfect the first time! We were pleased with our results as well (shocker!). She was very patient and instructive. This was a fabulous introduction to painting, and we recommend Rita highly.

The amount of artwork and activities available kept everyone engaged, and we absolutely loved the Japanese-inspired artwork and overall vibe of the studio. I was honestly surprised to learn this place is a nonprofit. For about $250 for 15 kids, it felt like a great value. Unfortunately, three kids didn't show up, but the setup still worked out perfectly. The layout is on the smaller side, so I wouldn't recommend too many adults, but it created a cozy atmosphere where everyone could still enjoy themselves comfortably. One of the best parts was being able to bring our own food. We had pizza, and because we're Filipino, we also brought pancit and lumpia, which everyone enjoyed. The location was convenient as well. Parking was decent for the middle of the day, and having a dollar store right next door was perfect for grabbing a few last-minute party items. Overall, the two-hour party felt like two minutes because the kids were having such a great time. We enjoyed art, pizza, cake, and quality family time together. Highly recommend Studio Ace for a fun, creative, and stress-free kids' party experience!

The museum is in The Artist Alley in Oceanside between the library and Mission Ave. I came here for The Bad Ass Women art expo which I think is the whole month of March. When I came they had hand made jewelry, murals of course, live music and wine. I stayed for a little while made a donation and really enjoyed myself. I'm not sure what's next with this place but I'll stay tuned because this is a cool spot.
