Gave my 7y.o. granddaughter a mani/ pedi gift card for Christmas. When scheduling the appt., was communicating with a bot Via texts. Finally,after multiple calls and texts, was able to talk to a human! The tech, M., my granddaughter was assigned apparently was a novice manicurist. It took her over 40 min. for a basic kid mani! That was bad enough; she exuded zero friendliness and likability. The pedicurist , T, was efficient and did a good job. People/kid skills somewhat lacking though. I went here like last year, I just forgot to review it. I went in, and I could already tell that they were very understaffed. The employees are really nice and the interior is clean and fancy. BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT A GEL POLISH PRIMER IS!!! They offer gel polish, but they haven't even heard of a gel prep or primer. It's the thing that prevents it from peeling off in a day. Very unprofessional and clearly not experienced in their field. If you're coming to get anything other than normal nail polish, don't. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. Nail techs with little to no experience who sit and gossip inappropriately in front of customers. The person who did my nails did an awful job, was told after that I was her first client. I asked the front desk person if she would be ok if her nails looked like mine after paying for a service and she told me "new people have to start on someone". I have always had a positive experience at Paint! Most (all?) of the low ratings relate to the cancelation policy, which is clear when you book your appointment. I have only had to cancel an appointment once (when I went in to labor!) and was not charged. I make my appointments with Miquelle and Sam and they're both fabulous! The salon uses nontoxic products so you can't bring your own polish (another complaint below...and another thing that is clear if you look at any of their marketing.) The owner and management team are all kind, great you with a smile, remember your name and ask about your plans. I can't say enough great things! Ignore the nonsense low reviews. read more

I had a pedi/mani on January 06, 2023. By far the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever had. Pedicure ; was first service and she literally cut across the top of my foot with the metal file. Not only did it hurt it was bleeding. Notice the picture attached . This is the bottom of my foot 12 days later. I was heading out of town on January 07 to work at a trade show. I had to literally go buy gauze tape, bandages, foot pads and asper cream to be able to walk. I'm on my feet 7:00 am - until sometimes 7:00 pm at the market. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. Yes, The salon called me twice during the week and I could not respond because I was working. I finally talked to them today and they said the girl that I had had received the services from has improved a lot in the last couple weeks. My question to them is , if she was not ready to be performing services why would they allow her to ? Manicure: know going in they cut your cuticles dry . She cut my thumb cuticle and it was bleeding. Even the way she cut my nails hurt. I won't waste my time writing a review if it wasn't horrible. Not impressed in the slightest with this salon. Started out with a text saying the tech was "running behind and to take my time coming in" walked in 10 mins past MY appointment time and they still weren't ready. We were offered a complimentary mimosa - which did not have any champagne, it was just a glass of juice. I came in with my friend for a manicure before a trip and we showed/explained what we wanted and we were told "oh that's nail art. You didn't book that" my friend decided to not get the pedicure she wanted so there would be time for the design she wanted. When my friend asked if she skipped the pedicure could she get the design, she was told yes but "we'll still charge you for the pedicure" what sense does that make?? After the tech "talked to her manager" she came back out and said well we won't charge you for the pedicure, but you will be charged for the gel removal - $1 for every minute over 30. The tech then purposefully took her time with the removal and made it AN HOUR to remove gel. 2 hours into the appointment and she was still removing gel. I've gone to plenty of salons and removal should take 10-15 minutes at max. My gel did not look good - crooked, up on my cuticles and polish on my skin I was charged a nail art fee for one stripe down my finger. The website does not explain any of these minute details they apparently have. When I questioned the tech she said "oh well you should call for your first time here and that way you can email a picture of what you want to the tech." What??? I've never been to a salon like that. After my friends gel removal, the tech asked to see the picture of the design again and said "well I'm pretty sure my manager told us not to do this one anymore because clients were never happy with how it turned out" She had already seen the design when this whole mess started! That's why my friend decided to skip the pedicure. So my friend ended up with plainly painted nails - nothing like what she wanted. I think it was because by the time she wasted time removing the gel so slowly, it was 30 minutes before close and she didn't want to do anything complicated. When I went to checkout, the tech came up to the counter to make SURE I was charged for the nail art (ie one stripe) - which by the way was $14. Never returning. read more

Paint was the best experience I have ever had at a nail salon. Front the moment I walked in the staff was so friendly, welcoming, and spent time helping me to perfectly figure out what i wanted. They went above and beyond to be sure i was completely satisfied with my mani/pedi. They are very clear about their cancellation policy, and they enforce it; so if you follow through, there shouldn't be any concerns. just the best mani/pedi you've ever had. read more

Only ranting because I have never had someone charge a whole service plus 20% Gratuity fee for cancellation! I've been on the phone with Amex and Att (fraud) this morning! I realized that I was running late and they said that's fine. I was 2mins late from the time she could take me. I felt bad and called and said I didn't make the window. From the parking lot in front of the door! So I said I don't want to make anyone else behind. I realize there is a fee (it's my fault) I get my nails done every two weeks!! You send a cancellation notice with no dollar amount! So I figure $25-50! Nope $70+. My first appointment I sat for almost 40mins waiting to get them done! Today...my daughter waited 34mins before they got to her! Never again!! This is what I get for trying something new! The policy is crazy! You don't pay that for a missed Dr. Appointment! Mandy is a terrible director, NOT PERSONABLE or really concerned about my complaint. Toe nail polish did not even last 3 days and she would not fix as a courtesy told me I had to pay after another manager said it should last at least a week. I am waiting for a call from corporate as well. My new salon has quality polish rather you upgrade or not. The polish that was put on my feet was old and thick and I was charged for a UPGRADE. I would not recommend paint nail salon in Solon, Although my nail tech was nice, the salon tables were dirty and the paint selection was confusing. When I noticed after drying that the paint had lifted off my nail and the gel was bubbled only 2 hours after leaving,they were less than accommodating to fix it. Prior to today, I would have given Paint Nail Bar at least 4 stars; but they have completely lost my business. I was charged the full price plus gratuity for a missed appointment for myself and my daughter. Upon making the appointment, I was not informed that missing said appointment would result in a severe penalty. I was charged $94 and received nothing!! I, nor my daughter, will ever patronize this business again. I will never recommend this establishment to anyone. To charge full price for a service not rendered is ridiculous and BAD business. Inside is clean, well maintained, and welcoming. I am pleased with the nontoxic polishes etc that they use. My issue was with the actual service/product. I got the gel x and the nails weren't properly fitted to my nail bed, the paint was streaky, and it is so dimly lit inside that I didn't notice I had a whole gash in the gel of one of the nails until I was home under actual lights. The nail tech took a picture with flash, so I assume she saw the result and just let me go out the door. Also, I had two nails pop off in the span of only 3 days. Within the week, almost half my nails came off! I'm sure they would've remedied the situation, but I am a physician and unfortunately don't have time to keep running back and forth to get my nails done. I was not doing anything aggressive with them that I haven't done with my prior gel x that was from other places. When I am paying $100+ (including tip) I expect longer lasting results. This was my second time here to give the place another chance. Staff is nice, place is nice, but there are better places to go that have better technique. read more

I bought my mother and I two luxe 60-min pedicures. The paraffin was so hot, when my mom said something the tech took off her glove to feel it and was alarmed, admitting no it shouldn't be that hot. The luxe pedi advertised a massage - but the experience ended in 45 minutes with barely any massage! We asked if we mistakenly bought the standard pedi and the techs assured us that no, they did give us the expensive experience just in a fraction of the time. Never would have paid for the longer luxury experience had we known it was just an uncomfortably hot paraffin wrap and squeezing the rest into 45! Terrible! read more
