I've been going to this establishment for facial waxing which has been inconsistent in quality but ok. It's convenient except for parking. The last time I went, the price was $30 more than the $50 I had previously been paying. So $80 for facial waxing that left my face bright red for 3 days, not having used the sensitive skin supply used in the past. When I asked at check out why so much, the young woman said " we are doing competitive pricing with others in the area." Ok. They absolutely should have told me Before I had the appointment, when I called and made the appointment, or when I checked in-- not after the service was rendered. I'm not going back. The ladies that work their are sweet and accommodating. I haven't ever had a bad experience! The chairs are cozy and the offering of hot tea or water makes my hospitality heart happy. I absolutely loved that everything is organic and natural--there isn't even a nail-drying machine unless you're getting gel nails. That's how committed they are to staying natural. I'm back on my quest to find a local nail salon. For the past months I've only been going to the spa at Graton Casino. The first thing I noticed, coming here for the first time, was that the owner is very hands on and involved in the spa's operations. You can tell he takes pride in his business. I did the Essential CBD Pedicure and a Brow Wax. The pedicure was the best. The nail tech took her time and paid attention to the details. She did the best massage I've had with a pedi. My feet are soft and my nails look great (unfortunately I had to quit posting photos of my pedis due to unwanted attention, if you know what I mean, ha, ha). They offer a great selection of non-toxic polishes. Not a lot of fancy going on here, but it's so well thought out that I didn't miss it. It's very clean. They use bowls for the pedi and comfortable lazy boy type of chairs. Once that chair was leaned back, I was experiencing some major bliss/relaxation :) In my local quest, I have had the experience where the salon's esthetician skills aren't held to a high standard, like brow waxing isn't their specialty. The ladies immediately got me seated, with a cup of hot tea, and let me try out the different polishes I picked out for comparison. I don't typically do my nails except for special occasions so despite the last min booking...I felt so pampered with the thorough arm/hand and leg/feet massage. This spa was really nice in a lowkey way. I've been to spas with the massage chairs and the pedicure specific equipment. Everything here is low-fi and manual. The chairs are actual furniture chairs and they bring over a bucket to soak your feet for pedicures (no jets). While it's low tech, the actual massage and pedicure was fantastic. The ladies have strong hands and I almost fell asleep with how good the massage felt. They are lgbtq friendly and overall kind. Parking can be a bit of a pain in that area but there is plenty of spots along the lake depending on when you go. The paint on my big toes did chip fairly quickly but I was in a hottub and might have scratched them myself. The real treat was the massage and pedicure! The techs do a great job with shaping your nails. But the gel they use was absolutely awful. I've never had my nails rip and tear so much with a gel manicure. Within one week they were breaking. I typically keep my nails long but it was impossible with their gel polish on. I finally got it off and my nails don't look super healthy. I get all my manicures here, and I'm usually pretty happy, but I'm really unhappy with this Xpress manicure. The manicurist put on four coats of color, which looked great, but she whisked the dryer away after only 15 minutes. I felt like I was being encouraged to leave so I left. 45 minutes later, I noticed that this had happened. For coats of polish, takes a long time to dry, and I would've appreciated another 15 minutes under the dryer. My bad for not speaking up, their bad for ruumshing. I have a meeting in 20 minutes, so can't go back before they close, and I have to leave at 7 AM for the airport to go to a conference tomorrow, which is why I wanted a manicure in the first place. I asked for a gel pedicure (I already had gel on), and the way the tech removed it with a tiny nail file was painful at times. I also booked a full-body massage, but whatever product they used felt more like water than oil it dried up fast and didn't feel like a real massage at all. The express manicure was ok and they were kind enough to add it to our service when we asked after arriving. It was, however, rushed and uncomfortable. And even though it's "express" and basic, my nails were shabby afterwards. I keep my nails short and they rarely break; after this mani, 7 of my 10 nails broke within 3 days. I don't think the person who did the mani and filed my nails did it correctly. Very very disappointed and will not go back for a mani. The folks were nice and they take COVID precautions, however, services seem to be hit or miss. I came with someone and they expressed their pedi was ok and the massage was not great. read more

My friend swears by this place and they do a great job. They are "green" meaning, no toxic nail polish, so if you're an Essie guy or gal, bring your own. All technicians are vaccinated, the seats are a few feet separated and as someone else previously mentioned, with the front door open, good air flow. And they do a good job for the price, with a nice leg massage during that pedi, lengthier than some other local spots. So why 4 stars? They don't have the good massage chairs, womp womp. They have just a comfy cushioned chair, which is nice, but when I get that pedi I want that robot massage chair going to town. All in all, a good reasonable spot on the lake! read more

I received a gift card to the spa this spa during the peak of the pandemic so it took me a while to actually be able to use it. I am sad I do not remember the name of the masseuse that serves myself and my partner but both were amazing I was able to call and book by phone they do ask for a payment card to hold the reservation I was able to give them the number on my gift card. Staff were super accommodating their was a mix up with the scheduling.. but luckily they send out confirmation emails which provided insight and I was able to call the day before and everything was fixed. I requested two 60 min full body massages both my self and my partner were extremely happy.. I know tipping isn't customary I tipped both masseuse in cash.. when checking out I paid our reminding balance and was shock the person asked to keep my change for gratuity.. I told him I already tipped and he was shocked but there is something about being asked for a tip that dont sit right me.. I tipped the persons directly in hopes that they don't have to split it. I love this day spa. The ambience is very zen and relaxing. They have abundant polish choices and because they don't do acrylic nails there it avoids that chemical smell. I always come here to get my nails done. My fav things are that it's breezy and by the Lake. The staff are SUPER friendly. Many have been here for YEARS. Because of the proximity to the Lake and their set-up, I actually feel relaxed when I am getting my nails done. Because I speak Vietnamese, I find that the ladies here don't talk shit about their customers which I find really valuable. In fact, I have a relationship with them and often it's pretty organic. The chairs are sofa chairs and the equipment used is like a house (buckets, ottomans, towels, chair pillows) it's not like your typical nail shop that uses industrial nail spa chairs and stuff. The owner, Lawrence, is Chinese Vietnamese guy. He doesn't ever seem like he recognizes me even though I've been coming for years.
