Both my friend and I felt incredibly welcomed and a lack of judgement. It was a refreshing experience and I don't know why I was surprised. Maurices makes cute clothes for a variety of body types and sizes, and they recognize that everyone has a right to feel fabulous. Sara hooked me up with a dressing room so I could free up my arms for my items. Another girl took the next batch and I was soon on my way to the fitting room to try on the 10+ items I found. While I loved everything, I narrowed it down and went to checkout. I looked it up and apparently if cheap cotton is used this can happen. I spent around $40/item so I expected to get more than one wear out of them. I e-mailed the company and they just said, "Sorry! You washed them so there is nothing we can do." I'd definitely spend your money elsewhere if you want clothes that last more than a few minutes.

Nothing caught my fancy so I opted to just return. This is where it got amusing. Five, I counted FIVE associates behind the counter. One was checking out a customer, another on the phone, 2 messing with a computer and the other - get this - was walking in circles. I am not kidding!!!!! She was walking around in circles behind the counter. Did any of them make eye contact or acknowledge my existence? Of course not! It wasn't until the cashier was finished with the customer in front of me that she & phone girl both needed to take care of my return. Will I ever return here? Ha ha ha ha!!!!!
