But I do not recommend for kids to come here alone and stuff cause of that one guy. there's also a field down the hill that's near the school building. It's really fun to go and hang out there, but that's also where the drug addict is. There's also a swing set that lost its swings. it makes me sad whenever I see it, because I love swings. It's also super liminal. If you head to a road that leads to the road net to the school building, there is a pot hole that's shaped like a heart. I think it's really aesthetic. Right next the park there's a giant patch of barren land. on the edge, there is a wall covered in graffiti. I went there with my little sister once and splattered old paint all over it. We also found an old wet porn mag on the floor. that was funny. I'm gonna make a backrooms level based off this park because it looks really liminal at night. I like this park. I wish it was big enough to have a wendigo in it. That would be cool.

We were under Kate's (owner) teaching for almost a…read moreyear, I felt like she did a great job teaching and was safe, but the last couple months have been filled with last min cancellations on her end - literally an hour or two before the lesson would begin, I would get a text and then when it came to rescheduling, I wouldn't get a response and we would have to discuss it at the next lesson; she wouldn't say this, I would just have to bring it up. A couple of weeks ago, she claimed she was in over her head with OTHER responsibilities and would have to move lesson days. After I wanted more clarification and to find out what's actually going on, I wouldn't hear anything; no answer of my calls, no text back and no call back. Even when we wanted to discuss it in person she deliberately avoided us. After continually reaching out, she decided to send me an email late at night claiming she's dropping us. The way it was worded was quite rude and no apology on her end of the no communication. It's unfortunate because her teaching was great and my daughter loved the place and now is very upset. But coming from a business owner myself, it was extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate and could've been dealt with WAY better and differently. Sad we wasted almost a year here, but guess it's good to see the true colors of Kate and take our energy and money to a better place.

My pup fell in once too, but I've seen quite a few myself. It gets pretty packed when it's a nice day out. The doggy area is a nice spot to let your dogs make some friends! During the spring time the little flowers bloom along the fence, it's very pretty. The only qualm I have is with some dog owners who don't pick up after their dogs. But other than that it's an enjoyable walk!

My two Labrador's absolutely love the trail, and of course all the places to smell and get their paws wet, and a quick drink in the creek. Today is Silverdale's Whaling days (7.25.2015), and with all the festivities and the parade, and the walk/run down Silverdale way, probably not easy to get to the YMCA this morning, so lets walk the trail. An overcast and drippy morning...excellent weather for getting out. I just love this trail. I have watched various wetlands restorations here over the years and always thought this was being performed by volunteers. I don't think that is the case with the current projects. Quite a number of heavy equipment, and large areas being worked. Very nice to see. The paths are all clearly marked, and easy for most people to walk. Plus they have tables and benches along the trail should you want or need to catch your breath. So, go enjoy this beauty.

This was a great find! I'm always looking for adventures to take my 8 and 10 yr old niece and…read morenephew on, especially something out of the ordinary in Kitsap. This was a little bit far from their house in South Kitsap, but lately they have really been into indoor climbing. It's fun to find things we can do as a whole family, including our non participant family photographer. If you are coming from my side this is pretty close to the Kingston Ferry terminal and walking over and ridesharing is probably the most efficient way to go. This adventure combined so many great things, first it shares a parking lot with a skate park so you can include this either before or after if you bring the necessary equipment. It has plenty of easy, free parking and a clean porta potty. Looks like we actually parked in the wrong area and the place we were actually meant to park is a playground so you can't go wrong with either direction. This is located in tall trees, so plenty of shade and coolness even on the warmest summer day, might help on those wet days too. There are places to sit if you get tired, including hammocks and you can bring beverages/snacks, but if you don't they sell them as well. There are 4 main trees where you climb with a self belay system to 50 feet off the ground if you are so inclined. It's cool to see the tops swaying from the ground. You use a partner for safety checks/encouragement and if you decide you are an expert its fun to race other family members to the tops. This was the children's first time climbing outside with trees, but they managed to pick it up and make it all the way to the tops of all 4 trees, some multiple times. The 2 adults found this to be much more challenging and were not successful in getting past the 20 feet mark. We usually do better at indoor climbing, might be a good idea to bring climbing shoes if you have them. The trees were supposed to have varying levels of difficulty, but they were all hard in my opinion, one does have you start one tree and then transition to another which added another layer of challenge. You get an hour to play in the trees, but if you need a break there are some slack lines, a zip line and some logs to walk across too. The children had fun, we didn't get too hot on a warm sunny day and the price was reasonable. I'd recommend. Sounds like they do camps too.
