My first visit to Paisans in Berwyn was an excellent experience. The restaurant was clean and inviting, and the staff was quick, friendly, and efficient. I ordered 12 wings, split between the Dragon Sauce and Spicy Garlic Parmesan. The Dragon Sauce had a nice tanginess with a subtle kick of heat, while the Spicy Garlic Parmesan was savory, flavorful, and equally delicious. The wings themselves were the highlight--fresh, juicy, cooked to order, and well coated in sauce. If you're looking for quality wings at a great price, Paisans is definitely worth checking out. I have been here many times . I would always try something new till my friend pointed out that she gets the baked ziti all the time and I was sold lol . I get it every time I go. The southwest egg rolls are great and the crispy dragon shrimp were SO good , definitely will get those again . The place is always clean and heard the owner does a lot with the schools . The staff is nice . They tried to get me a reservation on a Saturday but they were all booked up . Didn't even have to wait 10min and they had a booth ready for my party of 5. Marilu wasn't the best waitress . Only time she smiled was when she picked up the bill !! The Manager swore at me in front of a two-year-old child because he was upset the child was crying "in his restaurant." The child was crying because I instructed him that he could not climb on the walls nor go into the kitchen. I had just gotten said child off the floor from a tantrum and safely in the high chair which was not easy to do as he has already started to sit in a booster seat at home. Manager came to the table and asked if he could "Move us into a private dining room away from the rest of the entire resturaunt." I instructed him that I would not like that, was just getting the child calmed down, and doing such will not teach proper behavior in public. I kindly assured him that his Father was on his way which would make him feel better as he is used to seeing him every day around the time this occurred @ dinnertime. I also assured the Manager that as said child was now safely secured in a high chair, soon after once he has something to drink/eat he would calm down substantially. Reiterating that food had already been ordered and should shortly be arriving. I was apologenic, also let him know that if said child did not calm down once the food and/or his Father arrived, I would more than gladly let him move our table into the private dining room. He said well "people are complaining" because they don't want to hear a crying baby. To which I told him, well let them complain then, babies crying is a fact of real life, and completely normal behavior within human development for infancy. Particularly when they don't get something they want or and as for safety purposes I had to tell the child no to reduce likeliness of injury. He then stated well "I am not trying to be a dick, but why don't you get your child to shut the hell up, so I don't habr to shut him up for you, because If he doesn't stop expressing his feelings by crying like a baby this could impede my business." As to which I stated he is actually impeding my business by behaving that way in front of the child circumventing what I was teaching him. As negative behavior only reinforces or creates more negative behavior. Informing him that I prefer to not to have said child corrupted at such a young age and, if he could please refrain from swearing at me in front of a child whom is unaware of such words even existing, this would be appreciated. A grown man in a place of business swearing in front of a two-year-old is not acceptable behavior as someone in their thirties should be old enough within their own human Development to know better. I was not rude, I did not swear back actually excessively nice and matter-of-fact towards him. He retracted. The Waitstaff and the Waitress actually commended me and stated I was doing a great job at redirecting the child. Apologizing for the Manger, explaining that he has never had any children, so he does not understand how important it is for them to be behaviorally trained nor that it is acceptable for babies to cry as an expected response to being told no. Food was good, I would recommend that much in complete fairness, next time I will most likely just order delivery. Resturaunt was immaculately clean, and, very gorgeous. Amazing decor, newly renovated or built creating a fantastic atmosphere. Wait staffs service for hostess was prompt attentive and on point. Waitress listened when asked for to go containers, and got the entire order correct. She was responsive to us, asking if we needed refills, without us even having to ask. All employees dressed very nicely, with great uniform presentation! Helping customers know arewareness of who was at work to assist.That is, other than the person stating he was the "Manager" who approached our table and swore at me in front of the child : Wearing dress slacks and an unmarked top with no company logo. Noticed from afar bartender personable and smiley towards patrons, drink menu extensive. Sports on the TVs. Will likely not return with child in tow anytime soon, which is sad because the kid loved the fish tank more than anything else seemingly, and the claw game. read more

Egg rolls are an absolute must every time ... It's almost like a tradition!!! First time trying their pasta for both of us. Linguini was alright. I was expecting more veggies & less oil. He enjoyed the meatballs more than spaghetti. Decorations inside include a car on the wall, a motorcycle & 2 large fish tanks!!! There's a huge fish in one of the tanks. Small children are always drawn to look at them. Seems like no matter where you are, there's a TV in front of you! Plenty of free parking in their numerous lots all around. Talk about happy accident! Came into town to celebrate nephew's birthday. He picked this place w/o any advance knowledge or real research, which always scares me but things literally could not have been better. We did order them crispy since their menu description read they were lightly fried and that was a very good move for our group. We also ordered extra dip, celery and blue cheese and all that only added $1.70 total. All of the dips and sauces are homemade and are pure perfection. My nephew said he needs to get them to bottle up the sweet BBQ so he can bring it home. Sooooo, good. 24 ounce big domestic draft beers, for $5, CHECK! $13 highball Paloma, expertly crafted, CHECK! Tavern style, ultra thin crust pizza that had the perfect mix of homemade marinara, ooey, gooey cheese pull, spicy pepperoni, yesssss. Finally, sundae was even a hit with the unexpected delight of sprinkled malt that took the average ice cream sundae and elevated it to next level. Hell yes! Only wish is that they had comped the sundae or had some other birthday offering but that's nothing to get my knickers in a twist over. I know it was a Tuesday night, and that things were obviously on sale. But this is the kind of place I could see myself meeting friends at weekly. This place has great half slab and full slab ribs that are definitely worth trying. Their wings also stand out with a wide variety of sauces to choose from. The restaurant is huge, so you'll never have trouble finding a seat, and it's usually packed, which actually gives it a nice, homey feel. My son and daughter love coming here because of the suspended motorcycle in a car hanging from the ceiling--pretty cool touch. We ordered the supreme and added fresh garlic, which resulted in all ingredients being itemized, essentially charging $7 for the addition of garlic. I realize there are no substitutions with the specialty pizzas. As a former restaurant operator of 20+ years, I feel this is the ultimate example of "nickel & diming" a customer. I believe that when the server took the bill to the manager, the manager could've used discretion and determined that the garlic addition did not justify the $7 à la carte cost. I understand where the business side is coming from, but at what cost? This left a tarnish on an otherwise lovely evening with my family. I'll be back, but just know that I was very disappointed. I recommend the servers remind customers that adding ANY ingredient, whether it's a protein or a vegetable, as little as garlic, will trigger all ingredients to be itemized, which could result in a considerable increase in price. read more

When we arrived, there was a wait, which we expected, so we headed to the bar for a drink. Unfortunately, this part of the experience fell short. Despite placing our drink order with Luis, the bartender, we waited over 15 minutes without receiving even the waters we requested. It wasn't until nearly an hour after arriving that our drinks finally made it to the table. While I completely understand that busy nights happen, this delay felt excessive. Thankfully, the rest of the evening made up for it. Our server, Francisco, provided excellent service, and the pizza was just as delicious as I remembered--taking me right back to my childhood. All in all, Paisans still delivers incredible food that's worth the visit. The ambiance and decor at this location is far superior than others. There's a beautiful outdoor patio which is adjacent to the parking lot. The only oddity was the open appearance of 3-4 slot machines near the door. That said all of the slot chairs were filled and the machines were in use throughout our meal. FOOD- Overall - 3/5 Regular crust pizza - 3/5: Decent but I wouldn't order it again. In a city known for its pizza, I'd pass on this one unless it were a freebie at a social gathering. Nachos - 4/5 Highly Recommend. Delicious and a large quantity. Perfect for sharing. Deducted a star because we ordered beef but received chicken. BEVERAGES 4/5 Margs are small (rocks glass consisting of mostly ice) $13; Bottled beer (Bud) $5 SERVICE 3/5 Our server was Eddie. He was professional and welcoming. A few stars were deducted because there were a few pretty obvious misses worth mentioning. (1) We had to ask for water and yet we only received one cup despite there being more than one of us. (Each person at the table seated next to us received a cup of water but to be fair, they could've instructed him to bring one per person). (2) We requested a box since only 1-2 slices were eaten (10%) and he returned with a white food container with sections (instead of a pizza box). (3) We asked to be closed out but he proceeded to take and fulfill the drink order for a table of 6. When Eddie returned with our check, we were expected to wait longer to pay. Recently, I have been going to Piasan's more often. They have a pickup special (maybe dine in, I'm not sure, but definitely not delivery), two huge slices of pizza (choose cheese, pepperoni, or sausage) and a fountain drink for $7.99. It is easily lunch for two people. Tonight, we tried the Thursday special, any of their burgers, $13.99 (normally $18.99). Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable, I let her know about my dietary limitations, and she offered excellent guidance. The atmosphere is very industrial with huge automobiles, a dragster, and a motorcycle hanging from the rafters. I am sure the kids love the cars. Our burgers were juicy on a brioche bun (the bun was toasted but not buttered), and our burgers had fried onion strings and substantial bacon on them. Thick slices, not the Fast Food bacon. $2 up charge for onion rings, but for me, it's worth it. My husband had the fries, and he said they were OK. You could get the fries with Cajun seasoning at no additional charge or loaded fries at an up charge. Previously, we tried their "supercharged" pizza with caramelized crust. This is to compete with Pequod's famous deep-dish with their caramelized crust. It was pretty close, and since Pequod's is a 45-minute drive to Morton Rove or 30 minutes to Clyburn (but then you have to find parking in Lincoln Park), it was a excellent substitute. read more

During a most difficult time for our family; a loss of a loved one, Mercedes and her team went above and beyond for us. With short notice of time they were able to accommodate 60 guests with a private area and provide us with excellent hospitality. Everyone and everything was as if they were expecting us for days. So I am a fan of this place but have been since the nineties where they started off in Cicero ...I love what they have done with Paisans throughout the years with their expansion. We came to the Berwyn location where there is plenty of parking and the food is actually better here than in La Grange in my opinion..so I am a fan of the Luigi linguine ...but I always get a side of Alfredo ..yummy ,.And I have to mention their sauce is on the sweeter side..we made a special trip 30 miles to come here because my daughter has been craving it and even brought some sauce ...I have to say they are consistent....as opposed to Als which is a hit or miss and their wings are banging...I would definitely try them ...Thank Paisan's for another great meal! read more

I have been to this location a few times & I enjoy the atmosphere. The 2 star review is due to an order of 30 boneless wings at Market Price?! $50 for boneless wings is outrageous. Market price is usually reserved for freshly imported seafood not boneless wings. Plus 20 percent added gratuity is typically reserved for a party of 6 or more. There were 5 of us. I don't mind tipping, I always tip 20 percent. However, I didn't appreciate it already included as a given. It feels like taken advantage of the customer. read more

I grew up eating Paisans pizza and after graduating from high school I moved out of state. However, my family still lives in town and we get to travel back to Illinois at least a couple of times a year. I always get me the largest pizza to go and eat it while I'm driving for eight hours back to my current home in Ohio. I just wish there was a Paisans in Canton Ohio. read more
