Local bar and casual restaurant with tavern style pizza. Came here for a kids birthday party and they have a nice space to host. Our waitress was attentive and the drinks kept coming. Wish the sauce on the pizza had a bit more flavor too. But I appreciate cracker thin crust! After the party we went to another bar. The male bartender working that night had an attitude and it wasn't even busy. It's been three years since I've been to this pizza spot in Berwyn and it still taste the same. Great flavor from the crust to the toppings. The pizza thin crust is perfectly crunchy. Nice woman on the phone. Ordered a 1/2 cheese 1/2 sausage medium pizza along with an order of gravy bread. Pizza was cold, not warm, cold. But after nuking it, tasted good. The gravy bread was inedible. If their beef tastes like the gravy bread, I'd pass on the beef. I'm not sure if I would order from here again. read more

Went there with my family last week on Monday. Got say by a rude and unwelcoming server who was focused on my kids. Took our order for 2 beers and never came back. She was half naked which is fine and all but doesn't have service. We came before and was treated well but with this time we decided to never come back. We went to paisans and they had a wait as well but the waitress was way nicer. I really wanted to give a small business a chance but they treated me like I didn't belong there. Ordered a Large thin crust pizza (14 ") with sausage total with tax was $18.50 it wasn't hot like I'd expected after picking up in 18 minutes as they suggested. The pizza was fair. Sausage portions were generous but the layout was sloppy as well as the cuts. The pizza was not oily ( my photo is after I added Giardiniera ). I began coming here in my teens for lunch on Fridays when I worked in this area during the summer of my H.S. years. Fast forward, almost 25 years later and honestly not much has changed. That's a good thing in this case! Took Mo here since we had to go to McNeil to visit my cousin. We ate at the bar and immediately had a feeling this is a friendly neighborhood bar. The clientele reflected how Berwyn has changed over the past decades where we saw a mix of Polish, Lithuanian and Mexicans at the bar/restaurant. I ordered a pizza while Mo ordered a Grilled Chicken sandwich. Both we cooked to a medium well type taste including the French fries. However the chicken breast was still juicy and delicious. The sausage on the pizza was real tasty. Not sure if it's homemade but wherever they get it, keep it up. The bartender was friendly and the prices were reasonable. Plenty of parking is available along Ogden and the neighboring side streets. read more

We recently ordered pizza from Michael Anthony's for a small birthday party and everyone at the table loved it. We've ordered it before but then started trying different places maybe forgot how good it was. It is definitely a pizza that we all agreed was marvelously tasty. It is a thin pizza but with sooooooo much flavor. All the other restaurants we have tried come with mixed family reviews, too thin, too well done, too thick, too much sauce, yada yada, Michael Anthony's was just right. Been going here since 2002 we have had about 4-5 family parties and they have always been great with the banquet service. Their meatballs and meatball sandwich is the best I ever had and I'm not a big meatball fan! Their pizza is a very thin crust it's good but not my favorite. Wow! Great place, great food. We got an XL pizza and Buffalo wings. The wings were crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The pizza has just the right amount of sauce and cheese and the crust is crispy. I couldn't stop eating it. Rachel served us and she was very nice and displayed excellent customer service. Cute place, easy, and blue collar with cheap drinks, friendly service, some wings that smell pretty killer. Could it use a facelift? Sure Should it get that facelift? Hell no. This place reminds me of family dive joints that only Chicago area businesses know how to do right. I'm not sure if they do a Friday night fish fry, but it sure looks like all the food hall bars that my parents would drag us to as kids so they could dig in on the FNFF. Yea, the food here is not great. However, the drinks are cheap and the space is large. So when the faculty needs to party this is often the first stop. We ended our school year, ascended upon this space and drink our way into the summer. It's kinda like three or four different restaurants in one. There's a bar with a jukebox and one of those computer trivia game things that I can never figure out. There is an outdoor spot for smokers and and two open airy spot with booths and tables to sit and have a meal. You can have a small gathering in the smaller dining area if you want a private party feel. The bathroom is nothing to brag about but it's always clean and I appreciate that. read more

When we get there the waitress remembered our last name via caller id, And properly welcomed us, and seated us. Thin crust is "OK", but I've had better. It is a bit doughy/chewy. Wish it was crispier. I do not like their stuffed pizza at all - the sauce is not very good and the crust is not very tasty either. The bar is loud and the patrons spew obscenities every other word. We were in the dining room, but we might as well have been in the bar--the volume of the people in the bar was so loud! Its been our new favorite spot to order from. We enjoy the pizzas due to their nice, crispy, thin crust. The sandwiches are quite yummy. They have been doing their very best this last year to adjust to the Covid precautions. Sometimes, I go and pick up and I will see someone cleaning the bar top or table tops. They are doing a great job separating customers and keeping everyone as safe as possible. When we have food delivered, it is the same as eating in at the restaurant.
