Wow.. where do I start? Ok, I brought my wife and mom here for a quick lunch and had no expectations on how this place would be but I was blown away. We just returned from Spain and I had some of the best food I've ever had in Barcelona and Madrid... Or so I thought. The food here was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were more than enough. Whatever is in the Dragon sauce is a winner on everything. Now, the icing on the cake was Griselda. She was a delight. What an awesome person to have when you're sitting down for some food to unwind. She was humorous and helpful the entire time. There was a large party that came in soon after us and the staff handled the volume of customers with no problem. They were attentive and always there to help. I really appreciate Griselda and all the help she gave us. We will be coming back to eat here! It's also very beautiful as you can see from the pictures. Consistency in taste and quality from the last time we ordered. This means alot since some places are hit-and-miss and you never know what you are going to get. Last Thursday I met up with my husband at the bar everything was going fine. I excused myself to go the washroom as our food was being prepared. When I came out my husband informed me a manager kept trying to flirt with him and grabbed his leg. I approached this manager whose name is "mida" about it and she told me "sorry I thought he was single". YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TOUCH HIM AT ALL EVER NO MATTER IF HE'S SINGLE OR NOT! The most expensive mediocrity that I am aware of in the city of Chicago. I really want to like this place more than I do. I've been twice because although the first time the service was horrible, the pizza was good and I thought perhaps they were shorthanded that night or something like that. I try to give places the benefit of the doubt, especially when it's my first time trying somewhere, as it was that night. That first night I was alone, and I noticed that the waitress visited all of her other tables three times to every one time that she came to my table. I figured OK, she's assuming that the bigger tables are better opportunities for bigger tips, and probably assuming--although wrongly--that because I was by myself, it would be a small tip. Again, not good service, but at least she wasn't completely ignoring me the entire night. Although having said that, I did have to wave over another waiter twice in order to get something taken care of. Anyway, the pizza was good enough that I figured I'd come back, this time in a group of a dozen of us. We actually didn't get pizza-- everyone wanted wings and appetizers. Now I will say that the portions are big-- still not big enough to justify the prices, but bigger than we anticipated. Some of it was great; the mozzarella sticks are better than we've had n a while, the nachos were huge (although the meat and cheese were scarce, a fact hidden at first by the amount of lettuce, tomato, and sour cream.) The loaded fries were ok, as were the chicken tenders. Where they fell off entirely was the wings. The BBQ wings were good but the hot wings were disgusting. I complained about them and assumed those would be replaced with another flavor or taken off the bill-- no such service here. Also, don't charge over $3 for a glass full of ice and a splash of coke, gone in 2 sips, and take 20 minutes to bring a refill. When I was ready to order, I couldn't find our waitress anywhere so I waved someone else over. I asked him if he was able to take the order or if I needed to wait for her and he said, "Let me grab a pencil and I'll do it". He walked away and never came back. Not that he sent her over or anything like that or even bothered to find her for us. He literally just said let me get a pencil and then walked away and didn't return. Believe it or not I am planning to come back one more time. I would definitely stick with the pizza - also very expensive but seems a bit more worth it than the $20 inedible wings. Might want to try something else from the apps menu as well. Hopefully 3rd time's the charm, others it will certainly be the last time I ever come here. read more

Horrible experience with my family on Saturday! We decided to try Paisans in Oaklawn for the first time and I regret it. We ordered basic pizza tavern style, chicken tenders, blackened salmon, and wings. It took over 1 and 1/2 and didn't get our food. Called the manager, she came and said she would look into it for us. Well 15 minutes past and the manager never came back so we finally decided to leave the restaurant. Gone are the times of the smaller pizza places as Paisans was known in the suburbs and has now landed here which for us is a big deal. Nicely done! For starters we came on a Saturday and ordered chicken vesuvius I'm a rich dark sauve. Unfortunately I expected more as it was a few pieces of a chicken and large potatoes wedges. Not at all what I expected,, the taste was okay though. For the size and the price, I don't think it matches. It's not even 1/2 a chicken and at best, okay. It goes well with a nice and cold beer on draft though. The soup (lentils) had big chunks of bacon and was extremely well seasoned and very authentic. But of course in an Italian pizzeria, lentils soup is not the typical norm as this was done paisa (mexican) style, absolutely not bad though. This is something that many would surely appreciate for sure. The cob salad was 1/3 portion but extremely worth the price as I couldn't even finish it. They had roasted corn on it so it was a nice touch. All in all I would defintely come back for pizza and beer and maybe chicken wings. The vesuvius is not to my expectation but it is good I will give it that. Try it and I am almost certainly you would like it, but ask for a side of rice or something as I felt it lacked something of a side, potatoes wedges just don't seem to be the ending. So for circuses, I appreciate the really nice atmosphere and for the service, the waiter was very well versed in hospitality and that's is always a plus. An absolutely remarkable place, and the food its even better. So much flavor. Since the first time i had the pizza from Paisans 8 years ago Ive been keep coming back. We loved the place, its nice and crowded and They just opened a new location near my house and  let me they you the decor in the place is excellent! It's a combination of rustic and industrial, I will call it Rustrial. This time we were able to sat down right away. We knew what we wanted, so We order the jumbo Supreme pizza, it comes with Sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. and for the side order i had The Award winning First place at Chicago's best wing fest 2017 Pineapple Habanero Wings they are tossed with your choice of sauce. Served with ranch. and for my drink i had the Lemonade. Once the Pizza and the wings arrived. We were taken to flavor town. Every single bite was out of this world. But The pineapple Habanero Wings were the real winner in this feats. The sauce has become a favorite of mine. i didn't know the combination of pineapple and habanero will go so perfect, like a dance full of flavor. This place is amazing! Great atmosphere, family friendly and the decor is vintage beautiful! With 8 locations all over the chicago area and new ones opening up soon I would definitely recommend it to everyone. Originally I would have given this restaurant 3.5 stars based on the fact that you can't order kids food to go, but after mentioning this to one of the managers, Mercedes, she fixed everything. Not only that she discounted the spaghetti ordered for my daughter due to the troubles encountered in the past. She is truly amazing. A person who cares about the customers experience. We are 14 years + customers of the original location and the one on Pulaski is nothing like the original . First time eating inside this location and unless we get the waiter who was busting his ass for his section never again. Our waitress was not attentive at all yet she still was able to get a gratuity of $15 added automatically to our check. That is absurd. She was talking, and ignored my husband twice when he tried to ask for a refill. We literally were sharing drinks. she did not deserve that amount or nothing at all. I would have rather the gentlemen with the tattoos waiting the other tables who stopped to talk sports with my husband have gotten our tip and he wasn't even our waiter. The restaurant inside and out looks lovely, did not expect the inside to look as amazing and spacious as it was. Loved all the natural light that flowed in thru the giant windows. The motorcycles and car by the walls and the fright train doors used as decor made for an eye catching aesthetic. Our waitress was patient and provided excellent service. Waiters here need to learn more about what being a server entitles when it comes to customer service. I have dined in twice, hoping to have a better experience the second.Unfortunately, both times my family and I didn't had the best experience with our servers what so ever. Food is good, the pizza is not my favorite but I think thats just personal preference. Ok, but going back to the service you receive from your waiter, they basically come take your order bring your drinks and after that you really never see them again. There's no pre-bussing whatsoever ever, so at the end of your meal you end up with a table full of dirty places, that the busser slowly starts to pick up eventually. This is not acceptable when your bill gets an automated added gratuity if your party is big enough. Gratuity that goes to the server who did minimal work for it, resulting in a guest negative dinning experience . I have never asked to talk to a manager about this, because to be honest at the end I just very annoy and disappointed, also wondering how much can a manager care if these server feel so comfortable behaving and treating their tables at that level. We've ordered from this location for delivery and had never sat and dined. The day we did come the place had a fire and obviously we couldn't dine that time. So today we finally were able to enjoy Dine in service and the Pizza fresh out of the Oven. The ambiance is really cool. Very industrial I guess I would say. The service was great. Our server Alex was really nice and friendly. Came in to check on us frequently to see if anything else was needed. Our food was promptly served and very good and we enjoyed it. Front desk left me on hold and I had to call back for them to take my order.,Time management is not this places strong suit. Front desk had a blonde girl eating in plain sight of everyone which I know is a food safety violation and gross. Maybe if less people were standing around and eating the pizza would actually come out in time. I wanted to believe that my first visit to the Pulaski location was a fluke but after another two visits, I see that I need to give a review and find another place that offers quality service (without rudeness) and better quality food. FOOD: The food quality has been deteriorating (at this restaurant and the Ogden Ave location). Dragon wings have always been my favorite but as they expand, it has affected the taste and quality of the food. I ordered a family size 18 piece of wings, they had a bland taste and we were provided with very little dressing. I decided not to say anything about the blandness (I regret that now) but when I questioned the lack of condiments, they told me that they only give one small container of dressing regardless if you order a 6 piece or if you order an 18 piece. Extra dressing is extra money. I disputed this logic (6 wings vs. 18 wings) and then the wait staff become very annoyed and rude and brought out the manager, who proceeded to tell me that the amount they give is the amount they give and I can always order more but I'll have to pay for it. STAFF: they forgot to give us cutlery, plates, napkins, and even forgot to bring ordered items. When alerted to this, they didn't provide a reason or apology and still took a long time to provide the items which was super annoying when we could see the server laughing with coworkers by the register. When attempting to leave, I had to flag the server down a few times and then I had to wait another 10 mins to receive the check. The server walked away and then began chatting with the bartender so there wasn't a reason for it to take this long. My table was never rude to them in return, not once, so I don't see why this treatment. Will not be returning to this location or any other location for that matter. read more
