    Quesabirria with beef
    Kate M.

Came here as a group of 3 on a Friday night around 7pm and were seated with no wait. Service was a little slow overall but our server was nice. Drinks: I got the habanero cilantro margarita which was great- strong and spicy! Followed by the Chino Latino which was quite good- the guava wasn't overpowering. Food: -Chips and salsa: Started with chips and a trio of salsas. Salsas were the charred tomato, avocado-Serrano, and Arbol-cashew. Loved the avocado/serrano (fresh, bright) and the cashew salsa (creamy and smoky). Charred tomato was nothing to write home about. Chips were crispy and salty and perfect. Only downer- surprised by how small the salsa portions were. -Quesabirria with beef: I got the quesabirria with shredded beef and a side of consume. Huge portion and the beef was juicy and generous. The consume had robust flavor. Overall it was pretty good but a little greasy. -shared a side of mushrooms. I've ordered these many times and this time wasn't the best batch.

First time! My friends love this place and despite it being nearby I had never been. Great vibe at bar and all around. Brick and cool ceiling and decor. The guac and chips was perfectly salty s d oily. My hubby and our friend shared the meal and there were so many good dishes. And a flight of salsa to match the flight of salty rimmed drinks. The beef rib dish looked great and the ceviche was good, tacos etc. only thing that was so so was the hearts of palm salad. But the next day it was tastier. We will be back. No reservations but that was ok by me.

It's situated on the corner and you almost miss it driving by. I parked in the lot next to it but I'm not sure if that was their lot or not. We arrived at five on a Wednesday and it was dead. By seven it was full though. They have a wonderful menu of things to choose from. I enjoy places that make unique dishes you don't see at other restaurants. Most of the dishes could be shareables since they came with two of each. We started with chips and guac. The house made nachos were really good! Perfectly crunchy and seasoned. The guac was guac - basic, good snack before meals. The potato sopes were a nice shareable appetizer. The smoked cashew-cilantro pesto was really good! The shrimp and quesabirria tacos were really tasty. The quesabirria tacos were huge and the broth was so good! Service was great. Cocktails were amazing. Prices are above average. An overall nice, small, Mexican restaurant.

We went to Pajarito before a Wild game and it was absolutely wonderful. Our drinks were excellent, my husband got the spicy margarita which was great. If you like cilantro, you'll love it. I got the chino Latino which was different and good. The food was all amazing. They have a salsa sampler which was so tasty. I got shrimp tacos, my husband got the Birria tacos. Both were good but the shrimp were my favorite because of the fresh ingredients in the toppings. The Brussels sprouts were also amazing. Service was quick on a Saturday at lunch. Loved the blended original character of the building with a modern feel of decor etc. Would definitely recommend and plan to be back!

Excellent food and good portions! The place is like a refined Mexican bistro that sells slightly upscale food but still within budget, and the menu was just the right size to not allow fear of choice, and that worked very well in my favor as I knew exactly what I wanted upon seeing it! I would highly recommend the birria tacos because one just can't go wrong it, along with the chilaquiles and the shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos had mango pico de gallo along with honey-chipotle aioli which normally wouldn't be there, but honestly they worked very well with crispy fried shrimp! The chilaquiles was, to me, an elevated version of the chicken tinga tacos because both contained chipotle chicken and cotija cheese, but the fried egg on the chilaquiles just made the dish savory in flavor and runny in texture that elevated the whole experience, while the chicken tinga tacos had avocado-serrano salsa which was commonly seen and would work great for the traditionalists! The smoked salmon tostada was great as well, only that $16 was a bit much for the portion given that it was salmon. I would definitely recommend anyone that wanted some refined Mexican food to give Pajarito a shot! They have shorter hours on Mondays and Tuesdays and typically close earlier than other taco spots, but still a great place for friends to hang out and catch up over some bomb food!

Pajarito has been on my list for a while, and I finally had the privleage of experiencing this muy bien establishment for a friends birthday. This location is in quaint downtown Edina, conveniently next to a grocery store and yoga studio in case you need a pre shopping or post-workout taco. Of course we started with a delightfully plated round of guac and chips, as well as margs (though I personally was more in the mood for a crisp Tecate). I ordered the huevos rancheros, which I would rate a 6/10; I must admit, I had severe food envy at the birthday girl chowing down on her scrumptious-appearing birria tacos. Overall solid location for a mid-week Mexican meal.

If someone were to say there is a restaurant with a Spanish name that means "Birdie", has bird cages hanging with lights inside, a deer head on the wall I would probably say, "well never mind." Look at the pictures and you'll see the decor choices seem to fit accordingly, no, there's no accordion music. My friend saw an article stating Pajarito has one of the best nacho dishes in the cities we checked it out. A friendly server explained every part of the menu and sauces. Be sure to ask for the current craft beers as the choices rotate. Tables come with antique style glasses ready for the pitcher of water that comes with menus. There are three choices of nachos, Beef, Chicken Tinga and Black Bean. There is a strong hint of spice, more so than other places we've tried. Creamy cheesy sauce. The atmosphere is fairly quiet as only the sound of other diners chattering. A few big screens if you must watch TV and soft music. Street parking and small parking lot on the side. It all fits, except perhaps the deer head which reminds me of small town barber shops of many years ago.

Anyone giving this restaurant less than 4 stars is just incorrect. I've been here a few times with different groups of people and everyone has loved their food and drinks. I got the Potato Sopes tonight and they were incredible! Their house-made chips are also great.

Very nice corner spot. I was excited to try this because it was Mexican food but it seemed more like a fusion spot. We did sit outside on the patio. The food was good overall and I would recommend it, Although pricey. The octopus had a texture that was very odd to me. I love Octopus for its chewy texture, but this one wasn't. It was very mushy and lacked the chewy texture. I didn't care for it but the flavors were good. Unless your kids eat everything you eat they didn't have a kids menu. They did however accommodate us by making us a quesadilla for my 3 year old. Child friendly drink ware would've been nice too but they only had glass. Overall I would recommend trying but personally would go to other spots before coming back.

The service... i asked for my coffee iced and to have oat milk. Neither of those requests were fulfilled. Now, I do like hot coffee, so I didn't complain and I will say the coffee was delicious. The temp was perfect for drinking right away. I am lactose intolerant, so I didn't realize I didn't get my oat milk until after I left if you catch my drift haha. The person taking my order seemed frazzled and wasn't very friendly. I had also ordered another baked goods but I guess she didn't hear because upon checking my receipt, it wasn't listed. It wasn't overly busy, but may be she was new? Not sure, but it did leave a bit of a bad taste for this place. The scone was very tasty and I would recommend getting it warmed up. I would give this place a try again, but it's not a place I plan to visit again soon.
