I DO love their egg rolls! I've noticed many Chinese restaurants now load their egg rolls filled with cabbage and not a lot of other vegetables and not that much meat I really like it when I get the full veggie experience in my egg roll and that they're fried to a crisp brown on the outside and still tender on the inside--not dry! I didn't feel like my meal was above average. The egg foo yong was tasty and not overly greasy. I thought the canton style lo mein combination was very small for the price. When have you ever heard that said about a Chinese restaurant? The soup was not appetizing. They were very nice. A nice teenage girl collected my order. She was very friendly and customer focused. Random find on our way to Jackman. I called in my order and it was ready in 20min. Friendly service and tasty food. The general tso sauce was yummy and my snow pea pods were nice and crunchy. They're doing take-out only at this time (June 2022). read more

Pak Lee is awesome! Boyfriend and I came for the first time last night, we ordered: crab rangoon, an egg roll, pork fried rice, honey chicken and general tso chicken. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! The crab rangoons and egg roll were loaded with filling and fried to perfection. The honey and general tso chicken were both tender and flavorful. Portions were huge so we have enough leftovers for a couple nights. Family style serving was elegant and made us feel like it was a special occasion. The service was exceptional, our server was friendly and attentive, she made sure our drinks were filled and we had everything we wanted. I LOVE PAK LEE!! i come from out of town and i'm used to having Moonhing (from dover-foxcroft) and i really like it there and have been going since i was a child. However Pak Lee is so delicious in its own way! i admit i had to grown on the crab rangoons since there's only cream cheese and crab in the ones i'm used to while Pak Lee has different flavors in there's but they aren't half bad!! i typically get D21 but sub the beef teriyaki for boneless ribs. so delciousss. their honey chicken is also really good! i highly recommend this place and the staff is always friendly :) i can't wait for my next trip back! We were looking for a place for dinner that was open late and found this newer restaurant. We were waited on by one of the owners who was very thoughtful and gracious. The soup was a large bowl and could have been a meal itself. The teriyaki chicken was tender and fresh and our other entrees were tasty too. Our whole experience from the service to the flavor and freshness of the food and the generous portions (we had lots of leftovers to take home) and the cleanliness of the place made us happy we found this little gem. The Egg Drop soup appetizer is one of heartiest and tastiest egg drop soups I have ever had! The teriyaki chicken skewers were so very juicy and tender. The owners are super nice and the rest of the staff was attentive and kind. The cleanliness of everything really sets this place apart from all the other options in town. Open late, so even if we've been playing on the lake all day we can eat in or order out! We'll be back again and again! read more

Best Chinese restaurant in the State. Been here several times & EVERYTHING is always fresh & tasty. Perfect seasoning everytime! Whenever we have to go to the area for any reason, we stop in! Very clean as well! Not a speck of dust can be found. Love the amount of veggies used in all dishes. Only complaint is I wish you were closer to my house...lol! read more

Was just there to grab takeout (Honey Chicken, Crab Rangoons Served with Pork Fried Rice) Plenty of and it was good. Only complaint was they didn't put any plastic utensils in the bag ( ever tried to eat rice with your fingers? ) so just remember to check your bag before you leave other then that excellent! read more

I placed a to go order here for crab rangoons, honey chicken and pork egg foo young. The crab rangoons were ok, but the honey chicken and egg foo young were pretty bad. The honey chicken was mostly fried breading and came drowned in an overly sweat canned sauce. The egg foo young resembled an admixture of kitchen waste mixed with egg and also came drowned in prepared sauce. We ended up throwing away our leftovers. If this is as good as chinese food gets in Skowhegan, then there's certainly an opportunity for someone else here. read more

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! We had Macey as our waitress and she is a rig! What a wonderful young lady and fun to be around. The food was served piping hot and very delicious. The portions are large we ordered dinner for three substituting beef teriyaki for the chicken and chicken fingers for wings two dollars extra for each substitution. My wife and I eat until very full and brought home four heaping full take out boxes. As I said Awesome! Worth the trip to Skowhegan! read more

I hate attacking a restaurant right away. I give them a chance to redeem themselves. I live 25 miles away from Pak Lee. Friends were coming to visit so I ordered food and they picked it up. The food was still very hot when we opened the bag. That's where the fun stopped. Ordered the Szechuan cashew chicken, PP platter for 2, and pork fried rice. The pork strips were good. The chicken actually tasted like bad fish. Like it was cooked in old bad oil. Nobody could eat it, it was that bad. The PP for two tasted like the chicken. Same bad taste. If we ate any, I would bet we all would have been sick. It was THAT bad. So I stopped by on Sunday on my way home to ask if there was something that went bad with their food on Friday. I was being polite and quiet and asked for my money back and their reply was...... You should have brought it back after you tasted it. No one else complained. We will not give you anything in return. That my friend is lousy business practice. I will tell ten people, they will tell ten, so on and so forth. read more

When this particular location was reincarnated/reopened, we were pleased. Just placed a tiny order on our first takeout attempt. Discovered that the chicken fingers weren't fully cooked (still pink with liquid batter on the inside). After a few minutes in the oven, they were fine. About a week later we placed a larger order, again, for takeout. We mentioned the undercooked chicken when we ordered, and learned that apparently the cook was getting used to the new equipment. The chicken fingers were fully cooked this time, but the quantity of chicken teriyaki was short by two skewers. Called and was told we could drive back, or they'd make a note for next time -- took the 2nd option. Today we decided to order again, and forgot to mention the outstanding teriyaki. Picked up our order, drove home and discovered that our chicken fingers were chicken wings. We called again, and decided to go back in since we had no use for the chicken wings. Remembered the chicken teriyaki while on the phone, and mentioned it. The woman we spoke with couldn't find a reference to the incident at first. Told her who we believed we'd talked to, she put someone on the phone who identified herself as the manager. After several minutes spent explaining the situation so that she could understand, she apologized and said she'd get the chicken fingers and the teriyaki ready for pickup. Husband went back to the restaurant and arrived home about 25 minutes later. By now, the remainder of the meal was cold. He was not very impressed with the service he received while there. He asked the manager about the quantity on the teriyaki chicken dishes - he wanted to understand why we'd gotten six on the original order, when the menu showed a small order of 4, and a large with 8. The manager loudly accused him of lying, and apparently she repeated this several times, much to the amazement of the people in the dining room and the embarrassment of the staff. What she said made no sense, since he was asking a question. After she walked off, the hostess apologized, but the incident has tipped the balance for us in favor of never spending our hard-earned money here again -- problems with each of the 3 orders we placed, and someone "in charge" with a shockingly bad attitude, and no comprehension of the direct connection between the customer who places an order and her own paycheck. read more
