Upon arrival we checked in and we were taken down to the property in a pickup truck- about a 20 minute drive from the beer garden. We were very excited to pet the cows when we arrived. There were about 20 cows and we got to learn about them and then we got to go into the pasture with them. The website states that you get to pet, groom and feed the cows. Additionally, it also says that you'll be able to interact with the calves. Unfortunately, during our trip, none of these things happened. We got to pet one friendly cow and feed them through the fence - hotdog buns. It was pretty disappointing as we drove over an hour to come. The website states you will go back to the barn and interact with the calves, but that did not happen ....After we got back to the beer garden, we did have lunch that was included with the tour and the food was decent. We ordered pizzas, beer and pulled pork sandwiches. Overall I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place as the price we paid did not reflect the experience. But I will mention the owner was extremely friendly and our tour guide was knowledgeable.

Today, we hit the nail on the head. Just opened for the day we parked in front. Walked up the stairs and read the sandwich board with specials. Walked in to a cozy environment with wood accents, musical instruments on the wall, local artists work on the walls (also for sale), tiny flower vases on each table was very inviting. We chose to sit at the bar. Bartender was happy to see us and gave us specials information and told us to just holler when ready. Menu had a good variety of food I chose the chili and hubby their smash burger. Kitchen is located directly behind the bar. It is sparkling clean! The stainless steel was glowing it was so clean, I LOVE that having worked in F&B. While waiting bartender made small talk which we like, not overly sharing but enough to feel seen. Chili came with homemade cornbread that was toasted and out of this world DELICIOUS!! Chili was really good too. Not too spicy, thick with diced tomatoes, tinier peppers, and nice pieces of meat. Wowza was that good. Smash burger did not disappoint either, hubby said it's one of the best burgers he has had. They have a full display case with their homemade desserts so you can see before you buy. I was stuffed so did not take up on the offer. We did get a glance at the chef when we came in and asked the bartender to please give our compliments to the chef! Make sure to check for their hours, they open later than other places on Saturdays. They have a food truck outside, maybe they cater? Lots of outdoor seating for the nicer weather. If you are in the Western Mountains of Maine, don't drive by, stop and grab some amazing food!

My wife enjoyed the flavor of her pulled pork sandwich but found the bun too soft. It almost seemed as though the rolls for our meals may have been switched. Her fries were unfortunately soggy, as if they had been sitting under a warmer. Overall, Bear Belly's offers a pleasant dining atmosphere and friendly service, though there's some room for improvement in the consistency of the food preparation.

Luckily a small low-top became available about 10 minutes after we arrived, and thanks again to the stellar service, we were allowed to switch. When you enter you see a beautiful room, filled with yellow tables and chairs, and huge windows to see the rest of the mountain. It's warm, inviting, and great for groups. Nest more than met our expectations. We had an assortment of cocktails, cocoas, chilis, and sandwiches. I personally loved the Cubano sandwich. It is huge! I recommend sharing with a friend. It's not like a typical Cubano, but it's a fun twist. The bread was a perfect texture and the dijon mustard added great flavor. I was impressed by how well plated the food was for being on a ski mountain. Cocktails were good, but pricey. Hot cocoas were cheaper and more delicious! Overall the food was awesome, great for sharing, and reasonably priced. I don't ski at Saddleback often, but when I come back I will make a point to stop for lunch again. High recommend!

Pizza was wood fired and should have been amazing but doesn't seem it was cooked hot enough so crust was limp. Toppings and cheese were very good although the sauce was on the sweet side. I have to say the GF crust was fantastic and had a very good crisp in contrast to the regular crust. Could use additional help to clean tables and fans in restaurant, otherwise really clean. Restrooms were all unisex and really great concept.
