No one offered a place for me to put the boxes down and I am not a strong woman. Finally I went to put my three boxes on the counter. But because my arms were so weak from holding them so long, I couldn't pull the boxes high enough to reach the counter. They hit the side of the counter and I fell onto the ground, along with all my boxes. The manager just walked away. They hardly spoke to me or acknowledged me while they rang up my items. No apologies and it all could have been avoided if someone had just acknowledged me and showed me where I could put down my boxes. I'm still shaking while I write this review in the parking lot.

First, a Fed Ex driver was supposed to deliver my packages to my home. I'm not sure where he tried…read moreto deliver them. The photo emailed to me was not of my front door and there was a note that "the business" was closed. I live in a single-family home in a residential neighborhood. After contacting the shipper, I was told they would try to get my packages redelivered. I was telephoned by Fed Ex at 5:44 p.m. and advised I could pick them up, but I would have to be there before their closing time of 6:30. I told the caller I was a half-hour away and she said she would leave a note for the people in the office that I was coming. I arrived at 6:20 p.m. and the lady in the shipping office told me I had to arrive by 6:10 in order to pick up my packages. I told her what the person who called me from FedEx told me, and all she would say was, "You can pick them up tomorrow." Actually, I can't because I can't get there during your Saturday operating hours. Fed Ex wasted my time, gasoline and they are just the worst.

For a customer, FedEx should be FedEx, and the organization division should be transparent for the customer. Today when I dropped off some returns a few employees were chatting around the register and one employee was discussing how she was stuck in traffic on her way to work and it turned out to be due to one car. Another employee who was listening to her story remarked "must have been a woman". I'm not interested in providing business somewhere that so openly talks in front of customers with that kind of rhetoric, it's unprofessional. Keep your sexist remarks to yourself.

I see so many negative reviews about this store, and I wanted to share two very positive recent…read moreexperiences with Staples printing. On one occasion a couple of months ago, I consulted with the sales person, who was very helpful and courteous, and actually reprinted for me when my layout was incorrect. On a more recent one, again the sales person (the same one) helped me avoid a mis-print, and the quality of the print was excellent. When I picked up my print job, a couple of other sales associates helped me, and they could not have been nicer or more patient. The store may be tired, but the associates and the quality of their work shines through.

I have shopped at the Staples on University Parkway in Manatee County Florida for many years…read moreusually being able to get what I need. Today I went there after not being there for some time and was absolutely disgusted. Where there used to be office furniture there were big bins of $.50 old clothes!! Most popular office supplies were non existent. The aisles that used to have all the newest most popular printers contained only a few printers and no ink available for them. There were boxes blocking the way to the printing and copying counter and worst of all, about 1/3 of the store is now a party supply area. Even the employees that I questioned about this said it is awful and that whoever runs the part supply area is consistently complaining about Staples items being in their way. Seriously???? What gives? Is this what all Staples stores are turning into? If so, do the area a favor and close the store!! Goodwill stores and Thrift stores are nicer.
