We hired Soft Touch Moving in June 2025 to pack, move, and store our belongings in their…read more"climate-controlled" facility for four months while our new home was being built. About 4 hours into the re-delivery of our belongings by their crew, we discovered that much of our furniture and personal property which had already brought into our new home appeared to be covered in mold. The contamination affected our brand-new home and required professional remediation. As a result, we were displaced and forced to live in a hotel for 50 nights while the issue was addressed. The owner, John Craft, acknowledged to us that our belongings had gotten wet and remained on their moving trucks for a period of time during the hot and humid month of June. Despite assurances from the company's insurance carrier, we have received very little communication or resolution. More than seven months later, we still do not have our belongings and have had to retain legal counsel to pursue claims against both Soft Touch Moving and the insurance company. This experience has been incredibly disruptive to our lives. Based on our experience, we would strongly caution others before trusting this company with their belongings.

This was without question the worst moving experience I've ever had. I've used multiple movers in my personal life and as an interior designer for my clients. Since there was no soap, he couldn't have washed his hands before going back to moving my things which was incredibly disturbing to me. They scratched paint off the wall and when they told me they said "it's no big deal just a little scratch!" After reassembling my bed at the new house there was squeaking and creaking that hadn't been there before. When I called the office to talk to them about all of this and a broken dish, they told me I'd run out of time to report it even though I was well within the time frame listed in the contract.

Now, the Bearing is Grinding. Any day now, it will be finished. Barely 50 loads of use. I caught One, Sliding a 100# Safe on a Newly Refinished Oak floor. They Destroyed Weather stripping on 2 Doors , and Broke the Screen door pump. . THE WORST, I paid nearly $500.00 for $16,000.00 of No deductible Insurance. They WON'T PAY A PENNY . And They Tried to even charge me an Additional $2,100.00, for a Bogus Reason. Find reputable mover. I DIDN'T DO MY HOMEWORK . And Paid Dearly.
