Had to send out a package and was on my way to the place I usually use to mail out by UPS or Fed Ex or US Mail. On my way, I just happened to turn my head and saw a place called Pak Mail and thought, Why not try it? I pulled the into a parking space right in front of the door, walked in and a young woman greeted me. I told her what I needed, she provided me with a label to fill out, I told her how I wanted it shipped, she gave me a receipt, and I was on my way. Everything went as smooth as could be. It's a small shop located in a small strip shopping center at the south west corner of Morse & Hamilton Roads, just south of Max & Erma's and Huntington Bank. They ship anything and everything. They even have a sign saying that they ship furniture! They were nice, they were quick, they were convenient. Yep, gonna use them again! read more

The staff and owners at Pak mail in Gahanna are just an amazing. After a few visits they remembered who I was and would pull me up when I walk in. I have a customer who has a PO Box there and they allow me to leave her order in it without charging me. Always courtesy staff keep me going there opposed to the post office. read more

I love Pakmail. I've been a customer for years now. I have used them for shipping packages only a few times. I use PakMail to receive my business mail. I have a P.O. Box there. Their rates are decent and their location is very convenient in the Stoneridge Plaza and right across Hamilton Road from Giant Eagle. The owners, Nick & Greg, and their staff are always cheerful and ready to help to the best of their ability. They always look out for their customers' best interest regarding cost and product selection. They even take US Postal mail too! I especially love their lollipop selection next to the register. I always choose the orange Tootsie Pops whenever I stop by. As far as shipping stores go, I can't recommend any better. read more

I was in a bind because my normal packing company was out of supplies. I asked them to pack 2 large very expensive items for me and I thought they would do well because they have a big sign saying we ship furniture. I really expected more from this place. First they did not use any bubble wrap at all. They threw my items in a box with some packing peanuts and said this is good enough. I took it to ups to get ready and ship it and asked them to check for me. The packing is insufficient for any kind of an insurance claim so if the items get damaged I'm just put thousands of dollars. I'm currently paying again to have these repacked the way they should've been done in the first place. Absolutely 0 attention to detail. Manager was rude and refused to pack the item with any bubble wrap. Advised me to file a claim with my bank and there was nothing else they can do. There is packing peanuts jammed in my product that could cause it to malfunction and I'm having to pay twice to have this packed. I would never step foot in this store they are careless read more

I have always strayed away from packaging stores and preferred to send my parcels out myself. I thought going to one of these places was being lazy. Like thinking college could be completed in four years I am proud to admit I was also wrong in this idea as well. PakMail is awesome. I had an antique tea set I needed to ship out to Boston, MA. After trying numerous times to find the correct box and packaging I gave in and tried out PakMail. First of all the staff is really nice. The lady explained every charge to me, ( bigger box, but used BOX CUTTERS to cut the right size) added enough bubble wrap to ship an elephant, and gave me my choice of shipping method. Not really knowing the difference she walked me through the pros's and cons of each method to achieve the cheapest and quickest rate for me. Once the package was a go, she double checked the address and noticed I was shipping to a Boston address with a Columbus zip code. Using my friend Google, together we searched until we found one that matched. I am confident my package will arrive in one piece to Boston and it was cheap. Besides sending your run of the mill packages PakMail can ship large items such as furniture. It was cool to see by the map they had on display all the places PakMail has shipped to. The store also sells greeting cards and will mail letters if you ask very nicely. PakMail plus parcels equals cheap reliable transport. Have decided to never go back. I have gotten at least 8-10 quotes from them to pack furniture for shipping. They are double or triple the cost of another Pak Mail that I am currently using. I have also taken in PRE PAID packages to mail 3 times (meaning they have to do nothing but accept it and hand it off to the carrier) and they won't let me drop it off. They are a MAIL place....I am dropping off Fedex or USPS (small) packages and they tell me they won't accept them. They act like they just don't want to deal with it. I had these guys help me with 2 big parts of my family's move from Gahanna OH to Houston TX. They are excellent at what they do - and reasonably priced. Back in August they shipped a bunch of my things to the temporary apartment I was driving to (so stuff that couldn't fit in my car) in Houston. They noticed space in my packed boxes and offered to cut these down to lower my shipping costs. Everything arrived ahead of time and in great shape. In December 2011 they packed all my framed art, marked each box "fragile" and returned these to me so I could pack these on a trailer headed to Houston. What a big help and time saver for me! And it was there busy Xmas shipping season but they worked with me (they asked me to arrive when they opened at 7am to drop off my framed pieces - it was their quiet time so they could jump on my job - this was Dec 22!).
