From the moment we walked up, the owner was welcoming, funny, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better. At my friend's recommendation, I ordered the brisket grilled cheese, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the melted cheese. There was no shortage of cheese. I also ordered the brisket mac and cheese to take home for later that evening, and it was just as amazing. It was rich, creamy, and loaded with delicious brisket. Every bite was worth the drive. I highly recommend Jonah Bee's Barbecue Truck if you're looking for outstanding barbecue and great customer service. The ladies working in the truck are not the friendliest, not really rude but not welcoming at all. After I placed my order I was giving a post-it with a number on it. Waited less then 10 minutes and they called my number. I decided to eat in my car since the wind was ridiculous. When I opened my plate I noticed the tacos were large corn tortillas but very skimpy on the birria. Thought, no big deal as long as the flavor makes up for it. Well it didn't. No flavor at all even after I put all the fixings. I expect a certain flavor profile when it comes to birria since my family makes it from scratch and so do I. This didn't have any of those flavors. I opened the consomé thinking okay as long as this is rich and flavorful it will save the tacos. Well, again it wasn't. No flavor or richness to the consomé and it just kept separating, which was just kinda unappealing. Was it okay for a quick fix? Sure. Was it worth the price? No. Will I be back? Nope!! Maybe it was an off day for them, I don't know but I'll just stick to another place in Fontana if I need a quick fix or just make it myself.
