One of my favorite dishes is the cauliflower pita with hummus, pickled onions, and apricots. It's THE softest, tastiest cauliflower/gluten-free bread I've had in a long time. SO GOOD!

Leaving takes you through a slightly confusing one way loop. Nevertheless, twas the evening before the blizzard of 2026, and the restaurant was mostly empty. I started with the Chunky Monkey Banana milkshake which was.. well, disappointing. Almost entirely liquidity. Not enough solids. Way too much milk. Disappointed I also had a blood orange sunset, which was good, refreshing, sort of like a reverse Tequila Sunset. The meatloaf itself was good but the pate was hit or miss. There wasn't much meat loaf, mostly mashed potatoes, string onions, and corn. I felt for the price the meatloaf serving size was just not quite enough. It seemed like it was deliberately hidden in there. I was expecting something more. The Kickin Crab and Corn Chowder, sans description, was also..unexpected. It was an option with the meatloaf and contained a lot of pepper. Black pepper. Not the ... Chesapeake Favorite "Kickin" expectation.. We had a mimosa, good, a little weak. Overall, it's an ok place to grab a meal, the menu has many options, they have milkshakes and martinis of sorts, not a full bar, unfortunately, you can't get milkshakes with alcohol, which I think is a tremendous hole in their menu, but I found everything to just be a little rough around the edges. Leaving.. What sealed the deal was that after all that, instead of staying to have drinks, etc. we.. decided to go to a different restaurant for something more.

Our group of eight enjoyed a wonderful "chef's table" dinner at The Grille last Saturday. This is…read morea golf club diner that has been recently renovated, so the atmosphere is a cafe with hightop tables and television screens, adjacent to the pro shop. The table had been set with crisp white tablecloths and centerpieces, the first indication that this was going to be a special event, and as our evening progressed, we were not disappointed! Pete Maxwell served us several courses that began with the best tomato basil bisque I've ever had, prepared with locally-sourced heirloom tomatoes. Then came ahi tuna on microgreens served with a horseradish-based cream sauce. It was served family style, with Pete accommodating some of our group's request for more well-done portions. An heirloom tomato and burrata salad was fresh and delicious. I don't typically choose lamb, but the entree of a lamb ribeye and a little lamb lollipop in a bed of autumn squash puree, served with roasted heirloom carrots (strip steak for the non-lamb eaters) had both a beautiful presentation and just the right seasoning and I was pleasantly surprised. A miniature, warm pumpkin muffin was served before a unique dessert of vanilla ice cream served inside a roasted squash bowl. We brought and enjoyed our own wines, including a wine that paired well with the desserts. This is not the type of dinner we would have expected to be offered at The Grille, but every person raved about the experience and we look forward to doing it again soon.

Appetizer: french onion pastry puffs. A good balance of filling and pastry, comes 2 pieces per order. Full rack of ribs: a HIT (the seasoning is korean gochujang based, so it has a bit of kick to it!) The fries come "animal-style" seasoned, too, nd were amazing. Burrata cheese rigatoni: sauce was great- a white sauce but not too greasy feeling. Braised beef roast: nothing to write home about, but still a good hearty dish Southwest chicken salad: good zing, loved the candied pecans as part of it Parking is plentiful and the vibes are dark but moody! Can't wait to be back to try other dishes again.

Shelby our server was fantastic. Was my friend's first visit and she offered all kinds of info and had fresh chips made no charge and brought out to the table by a manager who welcomed us. We had the variety appetizer picking the fried deviled eggs, cheese curds, and French onion pastry puff. All were good the deviled eggs were excellent. Nice portion too considering the split, choose 3, approach. After the fresh chips with various sauces to try and appetizers. We decided to split a salad with fried chicken thinking ahead to dessert. They split the salad nicely for us. It was well prepared with various fresh ingredients and nice sized pieces of chicken. For drinks they have a partnership with a brewery in Jackson,WY and various beers on tap including the Walrus a nice hazy IPA. My friend was happy that they Audi had N/A option too. Desert was great a cookie with ice cream that turned out to be four medium cookies! Splurged and also got the banana bread pudding to go with a nice after dinner cup of Joe! Lovely dessert and at this point stuffed!! We saw on the menu that they offered a few different dishes in take home frozen tv dinner style, they're back to the 80's. We saw one large group get multiple bags to go. We decided to as well. Buy 5 get 1 free, we got chicken pot pie, Shepherd's pie, and Meatloaf. Great price and looks based on size and weight a portion for two. Look forward to trying them! Great experience, wish it were closer, will be back soon!
