Went in there last Saturday, which was May 17 around 8:30 -9 o'clock I was trying to get changed from the ATM and I asked the lady in the cage for help because it wasn't working and I have Navy Federal so it should take my card and I was having trouble pulling it out She had the nastiest attitude she said (ugh OMG ) to me like if you don't wanna help people with money why are you working in the cage? So this nice guy that was working there he was able to come over and help me and then unfortunately I had to speak to her again so I can get changed. She even had a attitude doing that and then I apologize to her and told her sorry for the inconvenience Like are you kidding me so she should be fired and replaced I remember she had black hair and she wore glasses. Maybe next time (probably won't be) I need to not be in uniform. I stood at the bar for a while the lady behind it completely ignored me. I had to ask someone was I translucent? And yes it gets worse. I then asked a waitress if I could order after I got her attention. She says yes just have a seat at a table. They were all fithy food plates dirty napkins etc. No thank you. This is definitely my favorite place to eat lunch. Nice juicy burgers. Top of the line customer service and the food is amazing. Nice menu choices and the staff is always on point. Lisa and Will are my favorites. Always hustling working hard but still making time to smile, check on the customers and make sure we have our order the way we want it. Chips and Palace casino is no Snoqualmie or Tulalip Casino but at 1 in the morning its a nice place to get a full meal. We ordered the won ton soup, the sweet and sour pork, and the honey walnut prawns. Not the best I've ever had but for the price we paid we definitely got our moneys worth. The soup was a little bland compared to other places I have been to but it was satisfying. I don't have any complaints about the rest of the food we ate except to lighten up on the sauce a bit. The service was OK. I feel like we waited a long time for everything and it wasn't that busy. The waitress was really sweet so that made up for it. Overall if I am back in Tacoma I might go back. I'm not sure if she likes the food because it's actually really good or if it's because Chips offers comp meals. I'm sure it's the former because the food really is off the hook. We ALWAYS order the house fried rice, honey walnut prawns and salt & pepper calamari (MY FAVE!). Everything else I've tried is pretty good too...well, the Asian dishes that is, which they serve ALL day! As for the casino aspect, I don't gamble so I couldn't tell you much. But I can tell you that there are a lot of regulars. Their own dealers hang out and play here so I'm thinking that it's good? I dunno. read more

Some of the better limit action in the south of Seattle can be found at Palace casino there is no poker at chips. They spread 3-6 4-8 and 8-16. The 8-16 has a little bit of a list usually but the floors are standoffish at first but once you get to know them nice. Lance the man that runs the room takes very good personal care of it. Once I had a small concern about something that happened while I was playing poker and he gave me his personal number and said if it ever happened again call him if he wasn't there and he would take care of it. That's good management. It doesn't get 4 stars or higher because I understand poker is only a small part of the operation. Chips casino is a pretty good place to dine, which is good because I'm not a gambler. A little birdie told me that the food was good here, and he wasn't lying. There's an Asian food menu which has both Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine and also there's a breakfast menu. They serve breakfast anytime, so I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs with hash browns at 5pm. It was delicious! And since it was also happy hour I washed it all down with a beer..which was dirt-cheap!. All told, my friend's tab and mine ( he got chicken wings which he enjoyed) along with three beers total, came to less than $20! And like I said, the food was very good. You can't get out of Dennys without paying $30 for the same food, and you won't be having beer either! Suffice to say that this business will be one of my dining stops. read more

Both of these casinos are always dead. The only thing worth coming for is poker. They spread higher limit, and you can ALWAYS count on finding a game. They have about a dozen or so tables and people are always testing their luck round the clock. Players range in skill from very good to awful. Most are really lucky though, so protect your winning hand when you can! Don't be greedy, or you will fall victim time and time again to "two outers" on the river! read more

This is two casinos in one building, because they have poker on one side with about 20 tables and regular games on the other side. They have blackjack, spanish 21, baccarat and a few others. Walked out $1,800 to the good, another day over $600.. just got to know when to hold em and when to fold em. Many times I lost it all after getting more than double my money just because I didn't quit and walk away, so that is my fault. The give comp slips which can be redeemed for food or chips. I had over $580 at one point on my slip and brought my whole staff in for lunch. THE FOOD IS GREAT, and I mean top notch IMHO. They have live lobster and live crab in a tank. I've only ever played in the poker room in this particular casino so this review is only focused on the poker room. Though I recently left the south sound area, I want to give a shout out to Corey and the poker room team. I've played in quite a few poker rooms in the south sound area as well as the US and world. Outside of a couple places in Vegas and LA I have to say it is one of the most effectively run rooms I have played in. That is a testament to the care that Corey and his staff have for the game. Though the primary games are FL NLHE and O8, Corey is constantly willing to run different games such as NLHE and PLO. Hopefully this continues, and I highly recoomend the poker room. read more

These two casinos are right next to each other. I gave them 3 stars because you can always find a fixed limit poker game. When I went the table was dominated by 50 year old Asian women. You can easily get in on a $3-$6 game or $4-$8 its pretty fun. If you don't like poker then don't go, these spots are horrible for all other games as the non poker tables are always always empty. read more

Legitimate requests to square the table often result in bad vibes and little effort to actually square the table. I'd have given Chips 4 stars had they not taken all my money! That being said it was a surprisingly pleasant experience, one which I'll likely never repeat, but nice nonetheless. The casino is very small, with maybe around a dozen table games, and was on the empty side on a Friday afternoon, so it was quiet too. They don't have roulette and they don't have craps so if those are your games you'll have to seek them out somewhere else. They've got blackjack, four card poker, and a number of other card games I have no idea how to play. Beers are cheap, like $2 cheap, and from what I was told the food was actually very good. Sarah the bartender no longer works here. Service has gone down. I sat at bar on Chips side for 10 minutes and didn't get service. It's a Sunday night, so its slower. I was 1 of 3 people sitting at bar, and then I was only person sitting at bar. Still, I didn't receive service. The bartender kept saying "I'll take care of you, hold on". I just came for food and a round or 2. I'm really disappointed with the direction this place has gone in service. The reason I give this place one star is because of the poker dealers. I came in from out of state and played poker for about 4 hours. The dealers are terrible. 3 of them looked pissed off (asian girls) & the dealer guy named, "Jeff" barely spoke a word. The floor personnel seemed stiff and standoffish. I really didn't even want to tip them the bare $1 minimum tip (when I won a pot) and compelled to not even give them that. The waitress was awesome and the Gyro with Greek fries was pretty tasty. I don't know if it was just me, but the 3 asian female dealers I had were really lacking social interaction. I mean when a poker player is paying partial wages for you, one would assume they would have a bit more interaction with you and actually have a conversation. The place was filled with a bunch of yelling players and the atmosphere was quite loud. The place was freezing cold and I was lucky enough to sit by a guy that was allowed to "Vape" all night! Pew! They give $10 comps if you play which isn't too bad, but I learned that after I ordered and paid with my own cash! I heard this was a pretty decent place to play 4/8 but that night I seen a bunch of donkey play. I can't believe a guy called me all the way to the river with a deuce with 3 over cards and catches an ace on the river for 2 pair. I would love to see that guy play no limit! A lot of shit talking between players with the dealers saying nothing to stop it. The beer is cheap, but the shots were a bit spendy. They had table games, but no craps or roulette. All in all my experience speaks for itself. They need new dealers and better management. I wish they had no stars because they don't really deserve 1. The 1 star rating was for the food and the fact that I walked out a winner! I'll never be back though the next time I'm in town! read more
