I experienced a large HVAC leak that left a lot of square footage flooded in my townhome. The flooding also created major damage to my garage ceiling. My insurance company partnered with Palace Construction to repair the water damage. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company for not only water restoration, but for contractor work as well. I was incredibly impressed with their level of professionalism, courtesy, and organization. The finished product was excellent. Definitely would utilize this company again. read more

Palace recently completed the restoration of my kitchen and hardwood floors due to water damage. The process was lengthy (the insurance company caused delays). Joe Starman was our Project Manager. He worked with our insurance company (no small feat). John Rojas managed the individual jobs (cabinets, quartz countertops, plumbing, electrical, and wood flooring). He patiently answered any questions or concerns that I had. Every job was handled professionally. Although it was a stressful process, Palace did an excellent job. They have been they worst company. Not only have they don't the job wrong several times, my grandma's house has many cracks in the walls above the windows, on the floor the hard wood floors dont even align with the walls. Huge gaps such a poor job everything is unleveled the door you can tell is lopsided, letting extreme amounts of cold air to get in her house. All they care about is getting paid on time. My Poor OLD grandmother's is not freezing in her house( even with her heater running non stop) during the winter. Back in March of 2023 a person started my Mother's house on fire . After working with State Farm and removing asbestos because the house was built in the 1950s we chose Palace construction to do the rebuild . All the drywall was removed because of asbestos . The construction work started in January 2024 after delays in the permiting process and with utilities , not a Palace issue . The actual work started . The schedule was discussed to have the work completed the first week in June so we could celebrate my Dads birthday .RIP dad and have an house warming for my Mom . Palace completed the work on time as discussed . I am a Superintendent for a Contractor and been working construction for 40 years . I understand the rebuild process and trying to rebuild with new construction and existing construction can some times be difficult . I would highly recommend Palace as a contractor and would use Palace again if I had to . The work was completed with Quality . Some scope of work was not included in Palace scope because State Farm would not Pay for Like the furnace . Also they gave us a credit for the flooring because my mom wanted hardwood floors throughout the first floor so we paid a little extra to have that work done . The house is old and the existing floor joists were not perfectly level and there was no way to level the floor otherwise we would of had to remove walls and rework the joists at the foundation . The hardwood floors are installed with good quality . Nothing we could of done to level the floor unless we paid out of our own pocket because Sate Farm would not cover that cost . A refrigerator installation went terribly wrong and when I discovered water pouring behind my fridge over 7 hours I was absolutely beside myself. I was 6 months pregnant at the time and now faced with water damage, mold, a potential construction project of ripping up all of the floors in the kitchen and the drywall on multiple levels where the water had run down the walls. I got a couple of quotes but ultimately went with Palace for the remediation of the water damage. Not only were they below the cost of the competitors, but they were more thorough and really took the time to explain every step to me and what was actually necessary from an equipment and remediation perspective. Having many, many fans can add up quickly and they were very kind in explaining what was needed and to not go overkill to drive up the price. Clearly I was in a very vulnerable position and their representative went above and beyond to reassure me that mold wouldn't grow and what we could do to avoid ripping out all of the floors and starting a construction project months before my due date. I cannot say enough good things about the responsiveness, communication, caring and overall experience with Palace. They're a great local, small business and I will absolutely use them for any future remediation (hopefully not) but also renovation we do in our home. Their responsiveness saved the walls and the floor enough that it is still in place today, and livable. And with their cleaning (no hard chemicals with my pregnancy) and drying, I am confident we will not run into mold. A happy ending to a terrible flooding event. read more

A driver in a palace construction vehicle decided that road rage was a good choice for a 19 degree snowy morning in Denver. When I called the company to complain the receptionist seemed taken back and assured me that the vice president would call me with a resolution. Obviously that call never came. Be careful out on the road if you see a palace construction vehicle cuz not only will they tailgate you in the snow but the company couldn't care less. read more

My condo had water damage. My insurance sent Palace Constuction. I really do not have any way to compare. I have not worked with contractors. it was not the best experience. They had to redo the the dry wall because they did not float it. I just knew it looked awful. I have friend who is a retired contractor who informed me why it looked bad. That delayed things. Plaace should have known to do that and not have had to redo it. They did not cover my countertop to protect when they painted. I am looking at the poor workmanship on the baseboard on living room now. I had not noticed it earlier when I informed Palace that my list of issues was complete. I'm very disappointed that a year after initial service i contacted Palace for a new issue and they decided to review past insurance billing and basically received a 'do over' from both the insurance company and me. They used my new request for service to correct their past mistake, a year later. i did not use them for my new work due to this incompetency. read more

In our search for a general contractor, Palace was one of the most professional and accessible companies. I called many contractors and often got no answer or a generic voicemail. But Palace actually answered the phone. I spoke with the office manager who was very courteous and accommodating. Kyle came out to do our estimate in a timely manner. He was punctual, professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. He provided us with a very detailed estimate that same day. He followed up with a phone call to ensure we got it. Compared with other companies where we encountered blatant disregard for basic customer service (e.g., rudeness, tardiness, lack of knowledge, unreturned phone calls, etc.), our experience obtaining an estimate from Palace was refreshingly uncomplicated. read more

We had severe interior water/sewage damage to our home and were looking for a contractor to complete a large rebuild project (over $100K). We previously had multiple contractors out to the house but hadn't decided on who we wanted to work with. Our insurance company recommend "Palace", so we decided to give them a call. After explaining the severity of the damage, we scheduled an appointment. Kyle came out to the house (he was late for our appointment) to assess everything and take measurements. After nearly 2 hours, he indicated I would receive an estimate "by the end of the week". At this point, we were were seriously considering Palace as our contractor for the work needing to be done. The next day, I received a text message from Kyle indicating, "Palace will not be able to submit an estimate for the repairs to you". Of course, I was very confused, so I called Kyle to find out what had happened. He told me that Palace was "too busy" and could not "take on the level of work at this time". He also mentioned that since I had numerous contractors look at the house, it didn't make sense for Palace to send an estimate... seriously? I understand that contractors have busy schedules. What I don't understand is the justification in wasting a customer's time (being late for an appointment, assessing damage, taking measurements, promising an estimate) to then text the customer and state that an estimate will not, in fact, be provided... through a text... not even a phone call. My biggest frustration is that my own time was wasted - I could have had another contractor at the house - a contractor who was genuinely interested in the project. I phoned the main line and spoke with the manager, Kevin. He listened to my complaints but unfortunately, provided no path forward. I informed him that I would be speaking with my insurance company (who recommended them) to inform them of the poor experience I had. I'm sure they do good work but based on my overall experience, the level of professionalism was subpar and disappointing to say the least. read more

I had to wait until they finished the place next door before writing this for fear of more retaliation. They have been working on my neighbors place for 3 months and until a few weeks before we never made a complaint about the noise or anything. Then there was a worker who decided to park outside my balcony door/window. It's not a parking spot and no one wants someone's car against there space like that. We have our door open to let air in. I don't want to look at your car. I went out and said "Hi can you please move because others will think this is a parking spot too and then park here." The guy Josh or John points to the apartments next door and says they said I could. I think this is what triggered him to be caught lying. I said oh okay because I actually own my condo that's an apartment building. Please just move. He starts to yell and cuss saying I don't see a sign. And dropping F bombs infront of my toddler. I said okay I will call your company and my HOA. And slammed the door. I understand sometimes companies have bad workers. So I wouldn't have been here writing this review if it weren't for his manager being the same as him. When talking to his manager he had a bad attitude too. I said I don't feel comfortable with him working there with that kind of anger and hostility. The manager said I can't remove him he needs to do this project. I said okay I wanted to give you the chance to do the right thing. Called my HOA and they said he can't be there anymore so apparently you are able to remove him. He was gone. I pay for my home. I pay for the parking. I expect you to show respect to the people living in the building while you're here. As I said we never complained about anything before that and we have had other companies here. We have lived here 12 years and never dealt with such unprofessional workers. To get back at us a couple days later they start having people hammering at 8pm. They're only allowed to until 5 so HOA had to tell them again. They had never done that before. They start to slam the doors and make extra noise by our walls. Very very stark difference and extremely immature. My neighbors are friends and they will be leaving a review of their own. But overall if you love quality, kindness and integrity I would take your money elsewhere. read more

Honest and thorough, and absolutely above and beyond! Jake has taken excellent care of me more than once. My window wells had extensive water damage in my basement. I had a different company come to remediate before and they were not thorough and left behind enough mold to make me ill. My doctor recommended Jake at Palace Restoration, and I'm so glad she did. They were extremely thorough, kind, communicative, and honest. They do their best to accommodate that this is your home and it's a challenging situation. Thanks to him, I am finally feeling better! Jake also genuinely cares and does not see clients as bank accounts but as real people in their homes. I had him come take a look at a built-in cabinet later, as well, and he analyzed it for moisture etc and assured me there was no moisture problem. This is just one example of the kindness he has shown me. He is not just about drumming up business, and he really knows what he's doing. I highly recommend him! read more

This has got to be the worst company i have ever dealt with. They ruined my back yard and broke a gas line, removed all landscape material. Cut cable wires, got caulk all over my pavers, broke a seal on one of my windows and take no responsibility for any of it. Worst company ever. read more

If there were a minus star I would use it. I am in the middle of a fiasco with Palace Construction CO. They were called by my insurance adjustor after a sewer line break. The entire main floor of my house was torn up. I am going to summarize this to keep it short, here it goes. I waited EIGHT months for them to start on my home, my appliances were either in my dining room or living room, or on my patio during the winter months. The workers broke my ceramic cook top moving it (they also dropped it). In addition to the insurance work I asked for a quote to pay for new cupboards and countertops. The first countertop they brought was the one I picked, however the supervisor told them to take it and do some adjustments, lo and behold when they returned a week later it was not the counter top I picked (I was told that I just didn't remember which top I chose). You know how women are, we forget what we pick. The painter did not finish his job and asked my son to finish the walls.I could go on and on here, but let's suffice it to say, the carpet and flooring have been down for 3 months and the carpet is fraying around all the edges, buckling in the middle, loose at the edges,the wiring they hooked back up was done incorrectly, I had to pay an electrician to wire it correctly, the flooring in my kitchen is not installed correctly, you can hear it snap when you walk on it (not glued down)? They cut the hole for my dryer vent larger for some reason, so now the vent falls down and the hose will not stay hooked up. Two of my cupboards are not usable, (let me say that my prior cupboards were not easily accessible, but I was told how great these new cupboards would be for me) I am 71 and can certainly not get down on the floor to get into the "easy reach" cupboard. I was told I would get a lazy Susan, then when it was not installed with the cupboard (the hole for the rod to make the lazy Susan swivel is clearly visible) I was told "you can't have a lazy Susan because stuff will fall behind it and get stuck". What? I have had several lazy Susan's, nothing got stuck. The carpet is completely loose at the edges, when we vacuum the bag fills up with shredded and frayed carpet. There is a buckle down the center of the carpet. Today when I spoke to one of the supervisors his question was what kind of vacuum we used (an Oreck for the record)?????? Then I was told it's because my subflooring is too old? So I asked if he told me that prior to installing the carpet and floors, he said and I quote, "no because you can't replace subflooring", I can go an and on about the sub par work and materials. I see another post about someone's mother and the problems with Palace, a couple of their workers told me to watch this company because they did sub par work and used sub par materials and tried to give older customers the run around. I am getting my insurance adjustor more involved after the phone call today to one of the supervisors. I do not see any resolution to this just from my talk with the supervisor this am. Apparently all the problems stem from me and my utter lack of knowledge about construction, my subflooring not being okay, my vacuum too strong or ?????? If I get any satisfaction from this company I will certainly update this post. I am not wealthy and took money from my retirement account to get the cupboards and countertops done, the insurance company paid for everything else. Time was of the essence and tensions were high. Palace arrived and took control of the situation, putting a very upset owner and concerned Board of Directors at ease. On May 9, 2015 Palace came to my home to perform water mitigation and I asked their employee how much it would cost and was told "between $1500 and $2000." While they were at my house they proceeded to tear up and remove my carpet and baseboards without asking my permission. When I discovered what they were doing I asked the contractor why the carpet and baseboard was removed and the contractor stated "his supervisor told him it needed to be removed because the flooding was from groundwater." Additionally, they made it seem as if they were doing the md a favor by performing the demolition and never once informed me it would cost thousands of dollars extra. When I was sent the initial bill for over $5,000 I requested that they send me an itemized receipt. They neglected to do this and after a few months they filed a suit against me in small claims court. I have offered to settle with them for only the charges related to water removal as I did not authorize that they perform demolition and did not want my carpet removed. It cost me a substantial sum of money to replace nearly new carpet that could have been dried out and reused. The baseboards were not damaged in any way and I also had to replace those and damage to my walls created from the removal. I was told by Palace that they would not honor the estimate given by their representative because they were not authorized to give an estimate. It may be their internal policy not to allow representatives to issue estimates, however, when a representative from their company is in my home and does not give a written estimate any consumer in my situation would take them on their word. I would never have agreed to such absurd charges for three total hours of work nor would I have asked them to remove my carpet. Even if my carpet was unusable I would have removed it myself, rather than pay them thousands to do it for me. Stay away from this company, they like to milk consumers for every penny they can. read more
