Possibly the Worst Hookah We had. Asked for staff recommendations and they suggested #12 which is apparently the best. Got the hookah fairly fast but it tasted horrible. We asked 3 dif staff members and was of no help. Asked for a remake and they brought back the same bowl. The girl at the front said she can taste sweetness and that's all there's to that , no flavors just sweetness which our whole party said there no sweetness either. One of my favorite ways to unwind and catch up with friends is over some hookah! I stopped by with a couple of friends on a Wednesday at 6pm, and we grabbed a table right away. There were maybe about 2-3 other parties there but we were all pretty spread out. We ordered the Gang Gang Hookah (~$20) with a Ice Tip Hose (~$5). This flavor includes peach mist, peach queen, and mint. It took about 10 minutes for them to prepare the hookah. I could taste the mint in every puff which honestly is my favorite part of any flavor. The ice tip really enhances the flavor and makes the smoke a lot fuller too! However, despite having a lot of peach in the name, I barely tasted it. The hookah lasted almost 2 hours with a few coal rotations and is average priced compared to other hookah lounges in the area. I like the decor here a lot and the overall vibe is super chill. I'm in love with hookah and have been smoking it for years now. I'm originally from Sacramento but now reside in Los Angeles. My friend had been talking about bringing me here the next time I was in town. Now I've seen a few recent reviews of this place about the pricing and the service, and it definitely shows that they are inexperienced when it comes to hookah in general. My friend had mentioned that the hookah lounge we frequently visited on Howe (Darna hookah lounge), had recently opened up a new spot in midtown. So I was super excited to check it out. When we arrived we were immediately sat down and given a menu of choices, which there was more than enough. Once we got out hookah, the service was amazing with employees constantly checking in on us to see how we were doing. We did come later on a Saturday...around 1130pm. But there was plenty of seats available. There was a friendly guy next to us that let us try his hookah and we loved it, so decided to get a refill( it was something with mint and it was amazing). The prices here are standard. I've smoked in Sacramento, east Los Angeles, Glendale and Silverlake( if you are familiar with la) and they all normally charge about $25/2 people. There are normally extra charges for more people, but we had a person join us towards the end, we stayed until 145am and we didn't get an extra charge! The refill was $14, which is also normal. The hookah is smooth, great customer service, lots of flavors to choose from and I love how they don't use foil like some other places still do. Whether you are new to hookah, or it's one of your favorite things in the world...the palace is definitely a place to check out! Also...they don't serve alcohol. Rudest people ever. They suspected that someone in my party brought alcohol when he only had a water bottle. Water bottle that we purchased at the place! Instead of asking, the server just assumed and grabbed it immediately and aggressively while also grabbing one of my friend's hair in the process. He then proceeded to cus out our group and immediately took our hookah away. They never bothered to even asked and proceeded to just remove all of us over a suspicion? Not professional at all and lost local support in town. We literally went to the place the night before and the server was already rude to us. But this time the owner said she'll check their CCTV to see the interaction. I asked for my money back and they told me to calm down. Do not support this business. We went out for a hookah with a few friends who came from another state visiting me. We chose the Palace hookah because of Siddiq (another friend who work there). We were 8 people they sat us on a table that fit only 4 people. As we already paid for 6 hookahs, 2 of us moved to another table because the space was too small; the owner Edris came and very disrespectfully and rudely told us to leave the table because other customers are coming. Edris is a very rude and disrespectful. There are 100s of hookah lounges with the same service plus full respect and hospitality. If Edris offers something extra and we did not pay that is something he should let us know but can't be so stupid and disrespectful. This place was absolutely perfect for date night with my husband. We love to hookah, but we have a newborn so this was the first time we had gone in over a year! Everything was spectacular from the decorations to the music to the perfectly brewed tea. The belly dancer was a really fun addition to the night as well. It seemed like an awesome place to just hang out and my husband I would be regulars if we didn't have a newborn. This was a special treat for us and a great way to spend our anniversary. I couldn't stop staring at the chandeliers, I loved the throwback hip hop they had on (like all my favorite stuff to dance to back in '08 including songs I probably haven't listened to since then) and service was perfectly attentive. I love fragrant tea so we got jasmine green and it was perfectly brewed green tea with actual jasmine flower in it. The hot tea and the ice hose were a great combination. I look forward to trying more hookah and tea flavors here. Although I'll probably wait until I'm done nursing because no nursing mama enjoys having to throw out her breast milk for a few days.. so I'll see ya in about 8 months! Came here last night (Sunday, so easy parking on J St) and it was pretty good. I mean it's kinda just like any other basic hookah lounges. They do have good equipment (base, hose etc) and they got the good Fumari tobacco so i like that. Also a lot of space. They also packed their bowl really well, it wasn't harsh and it lasted a while. Now onto the price point which is a big key mention here.. So i dont think it's particularly expensive especially since it's in midtown, but i do think that it would suck if i came with 3 people and then we have to spend some extra money, when basically one hookah would basically be enough to serve all 3 of us. So like, 1-2 person - not super expensive, its reasonable, 3-4 people - now we gotta share one more when it's a bit unnecessary.. which is the sticky point. Also the ice hose - i think the ice hose is extra lol makes it hella expensive so i would just not get it. Ice in the base is $2. Overall i would come back because the hookah is pretty good quality and it's a nice place to hang out and chill with friends. One thing i would like to know is if i could bring my own drinks and food in, probably not. Their selection of bottled drinks and snacks are alright. Amazing quality hookah. Khalil Mamoon hookahs are clean so you can really taste the flavor. The bowls are packed perfectly so you get a smooth hit everytime with no harsh taste. Parking was a breeze right on J street there us no cover charge. They have immaculate bathrooms and smelld good and very cute decor. There are a lot of comfortable seating and A VIP section where you can reserve for private events. There is drinks available for purchase. There will eventually be food and a outdoor area. They had baklava for sale. Two people can smoke off one hookah. Using different tips. I'm super sensitive and it doesn't hurt my lungs. The flavors are so yummy ours was mint and citrus. They have so many flavors that are yummy there's too many to list. The owners are the most amazing family and and really work together very well they also own one on Howe avenue named Darna hookah lounge fun and safe. Rather than owning up to it, the owner's suggested me to "open my own lounge and hire customer service". If you can't take an honest review than what's the point of review section on Yelp. This place was the worst hookah establishment I've ever been to. My group purchased water bottles from them and after 1 hour of being there and enjoying our time, the host aggressively grabbed the water bottle from my friend who was sitting next to me. He claimed there was alcohol in the bottle that we purchased from THEM! During the process of the host snatching the water bottle while he was drinking from it he also pulled my HAIR and spilled the water all in my hair. He did not apologize but then tried to fight my friend in front of all the customers and someone else had to grab the host and hold him back! So ghetto and unprofessional. Instead of pulling one person to the side the host tried to fight. The host then threw the water bottle in the trash and when I asked why did he assume there was alcohol, the hosts friend then tried to prove his case by digging in the recycling bin/ trash and sniffing all the water bottles. Wtf...he couldn't find the water botttle and just said "I know it wasn't water". So because of his assumptions I was assaulted and my group of 15 were in shock! They then took our hookahs away even though we had no idea what was happening. When we tried to get a refund the owner was very passive and ignored us. We were loyal customers to this place and then this happened. We should have called the cops but instead left because of how rude and discriminative they were being. BEWARE! read more

The vibe here is really chill. They have comfortable seating both inside out outside on the patio. I really liked the music selections - a mix between house and dance music but not too aggressive. They have light refreshments including chips and drink and the staff are really nice. They cater to you. I went on a weekday between about 7 and 8 and when I arrived there was no one there and I pretty much had the entire place to myself. (That was awesome). Then just a few other ppl came in and we social distanced. Everyone that came in was very chill and pretty much kept to themselves. No one was loud/ rude/ inconsiderate of the space. I tried this spot out pre-pandemic, and have visited since it opened back up. I love the ambiance they created with the beautiful Moroccan lights and bright fabric on the ceiling. They play chill music and the crowd is pretty mellow as well. The couches are comfy too. The taller guy that works the register and helps with the coal/hookah's is really nice and fixes your hookah for you when it tastes harsh. The only thing I wish is that they served cocktails! One suggestion I had that might bring in a fun crowd is for them to do Friday/Saturday kick back events with a DJ. I think that would be really fun to attend! read more
