Time slots appear available online, yet there is no confirmation, no follow-up, and apparently no accountability. If a time slot is not actually available, one wonders why it is displayed at all instead of being labeled accordingly. I made a reservation for 5:00 PM and called ahead to confirm multiple times. No one answered. When I finally reached someone, the individual handling the phone lacked either the authority or the honesty to say the lounge was unavailable. Instead, I was told via a vague telephonic relay to "schedule online," despite the fact that I had already done exactly that. This is not miscommunication; it is institutional disorganization paired with poor customer service. Consumers should not have to fight, chase, or decode signals just to spend money at an establishment. The experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and entirely avoidable. I would give this place a negative star if possible, but since that option does not exist, it receives a reluctant one star. Save your time, your effort, and your patience. I made a reservation over 4 weeks in advance for my husband's birthday. I attempted to contact the establishment via phone and email multiple times as I never received a confirmation of my reservation. We were driving from 2 1/2 hours away. Finally today, the night before my reservation, I get a response that my reservation was declined. We are extremely disappointed. Just a suggestion, if your members get priority, don't offer reservations to non-members. We were in town for a couple of nights and Steampunk Cigar Lounge was a couple blocks from where we were staying. We walked about 10 minutes in the rain and when we got there immediately realized this wasn't open for walk ins. We told Sayad that we were from out of town and just wanted to smoke a cigar. Surprisingly he let us in and explained it was a members only lounge but welcomed is to hang. We were chilling enjoying our cigars and a beer when someone asked if we would like a whiskey. That someone turned out to be Jazz. He treated us like family and was so generous! I've never been treated like this at any establishment regardless of what they were selling. I can without a doubt attest to how truly awesome it is to visit and have a cigar here. A gem of a place and a gem of a gentleman. Jazzi provides a space amidst the hectic chaos of life for one to slow down, relax, and enjoy. He has always treated me with respect and kindness. He offers helpful recommendations to smoke but without the pompousness that tobacconist sometimes have. The location is right next to the Amtrak Station and, in addition to a quaint and warm interior, his outdoor patio is quiet and serene. His bathroom is also a treat as well, and offers a variety of toiletries you can only expect from the fanciest of hotels (even beats a lot of them) just incase you have to leave the place without smelling like cigar smoke.
