Coffee and hot water for tea was always available in the lobby, which was also nice. We were extremely tired after our flight and travels and a hotel graciously allowed us to check in early which we were grateful for. Cons the only negative was the Wifi situation. We were given a Wi-Fi passcode, but I have AT&T and even logging onto the hotel's Wifi, which I would normally never do, I could not get any reception on my iPhone, not with their Wi-Fi nor with my cellular so strange. It wasn't that big of a problem for us, but it would be majorly inconvenient if you were trying to do remote work. Hotel is located right on the feeder road of the highway, but we requested a room towards the back so we did not hear any road noise. The hotel graciously accommodated our request. The hotel was clean, getting off of the elevator and walking to our room, the hallway is carpeted, but each footstep creaks like you're walking in an old wooden attic. Walking into our room, I noticed the door jam or the door is crooked, resulting in a small triangle space above the door where I believe someone could see into the room, to be honest, I was exhausted and concerned about having surgery the next day, so I didn't test it. The room was clean, huge, had tile floor throughout and had a postage stamp of a tv on the wall. The tv had apps on it including Netflix, Pandora, YouTube and like three others I wasn't familiar with. None of the tv apps worked and I didn't call to address it. The bathroom door was also crooked and wouldn't stay open. Even though the bathroom had a vent in there, the bathroom stayed hot the whole night. The ac in the room worked, but didn't cool the room. We normally keep our home at 74°. We had to set the thermostat to 62° just to make it through the night. The bed had two sheets for linens. One sheet was thicker, but I absolutely wouldn't call it a comforter. I pulled the linens out of the closet for the sofa bed, but the blanket looked used to me. I requested two blankets from the front desk which they readily gave me. I normally try to leave positive reviews wherever I go, because I know most people focus on doing negative reviews. I haven't done a negative review in years, there were just so many issues they shouldn't be overlooked. Thanks.

The streaming on the TV was a huge win for me - no laptop gymnastics - and I appreciated the hidden cabinet setup for the mini-fridge and microwave. The bathroom was stocked with towels and the shower included the signature dispensers, but my big gripe, no fan. So it got steamy fast with a hot shower. Also, this is my very first experience where there is only half a roll of toilet paper on the holder. The bigger problem though, early morning dumpster pickups. Saturday around 5:50 and again Monday around 6:10. Loud and long enough to fully wake me up. Still, the location's quiet otherwise and the overall stay was pretty nice. My kiddo always enjoys most Marriott stays. There also seems to be an open artificial turf area on the North side of the hotel - as a part of the development attached to the hotel and businesses - where kids can play or where events can be held. It looks as if there are a growing number of shops. I'd come back - but I'd love if they could push trash pickup to later in the day.

At under $100 final price for two queen beds with a view where we can see our car right outside. Funny dude staffing the check-in counter full of jokes, though he talked at above a whisper. He told me I had a choice between first and second floor, though first would be a bit of wait as he picked up and displayed a bucket of cleaning sprays and wipes to me (which gave me confidence in their cleaning protocol). Clean from the get-go: lobby, elevator, and hallway. There's even a sanitizer stand in the elevator. Best shower that I've seen thus far (compared to Holiday Inn and Palacio Royale), and no mold!! I appreciate the rolling door showers as opposed to curtains or ones that you push/pull because it's less mess. The handle looked brand new and you get hot water quickly. Shower/shampoo is good quality (Paul Mitchell brand) and they provide make-up removers and... shoe wipes!! Random but still cool. It took 3 hours on the phone with customer service and even further verbal abuse from the front desk clerk before I got the correct room. The customer service line was awful also and said it would take a week to open a case against the hotel... which was really helpful that night when I didn't have my room and was 8hrs from home. In addition to that the hotel smelled really horrible, a mixture of soured wet clothes and bad onions. They had air purifiers in all the hallways that were not helping. I asked at the front and was giving a bottle of air freshener and told good luck... all around a pretty terrible experience and absolutely no help from the hotel itself or Wyndham. The room was very nice, comfortable, and cozy, and the bathroom lighting was warm and pleasant. However, there are two things that could definitely be improved. First, the conditioner in the bathroom seemed spoiled -- it looked like decomposed milk, so we could not use it. Second, breakfast was not included, and when I asked the night before about the breakfast hours, we were told it was served until 11:00 AM. The next morning, however, we were told the schedule had changed, even though the paper with the hotel information had not been updated. At 10:50 AM, they told us that if we wanted, we could pay for lunch instead. Honestly, I thought it was a joke.

No. is that in the room next to me? That's right you got it, I am sleeping in a dog friendly hotel. Good news is Rover can stay the night, but if you plan on sleeping in, maybe even just a wink, don't plan on it. You may be staying in a room next to Cujo and his brother. Omg no way. Ok, so I call downstairs to mention the dog barking. But. It continues. I decide to just get out. I mean, check out. So I spoke to the manager who is pleasant, but I'm in such a bad mood I Didn't even want to get breakfast. Definitely first world problem, but I strongly suggested that if a hotel guest is going to be placed to room next to a guest with dog said guest should be forewarned, at least. There was not even a sign that this dog friendly hotel. No dog treats in the lobby no nothing. Just the sound of two rabid sounding dogs. The Hyatt grounds are nice. It is in Baytown after all. If you your best friend is barking for Pete's sake , take them on a walk. They have pent up energy, unlike their owners do, for allowing them to bark as if their lives depended on it.
