They helped us sort through the trees to find the one we wanted, cut the bottom branches for us, and helped load it up on the truck! The store is calm and everyone inside was very friendly as well!!! We decided to have Builders Wholesale perform the conversion to a gas insert. From start to finish Builders was there for us. Tyler and Chris accuretly meausered and discussed insert options with us. Their showroom was well stocked with many fully functional insert units that we could "test drive" the unit we selected. Builders installation crew of Dan and Chad are true professionals and did an outstanding job. Why anyone would decide to contract with another supplier is beyond me. I expressed my concern about carbon monoxide poisoning and was asked by their staff if I have a carbon monoxide detector which of course I do, however, I would feel safer having a stove that doesn't pump carbon monoxide into my home. I feel this shouldn't be a concern with a relatively new stove installed by their company. We have only used the stove for 4 months during the winter. Builders Wholesale says it will cost me a service charge to send out a technician or if I purchase a gasket and glue from their business myself it will be $50 ++ to replace short amount of gasket and adhesive!! Please be aware of the Vermont Castings wood stove "Dauntless " poor quality before purchasing. In addition all of the handles on the stove repeatedly loosen up and have to be tightened on a regular basis. Stove cost us $8,200 for unit, chimney, and installation . We never questioned the price or tried to get a deal. I feel it's sad that Builders Wholesale can't even give us a little bit of glue and new gasket seal so we can repair it ourselves. They were very friendly during the purchase but not so much when asking about a warranty. Very disappointing.

He claimed that store doesn't have any people who do installations so we need him to order the windows and doors for us and that we will also need a contractor to do the installation. I was already getting weird vibes from the get go because typically a glass store takes care of all that. I thought he was working for the company in question but come to find out he's just some third party guy for a different company I never had any intentions of working with. He then tried to show us other brands which was bizarre because I called the number for a specific store so why would I be shown other brands? He was absolutely unhelpful and made us waste our time. When I came in to exchange it with the receipt I was told by the Manager (Ray) that they did not have 1/2" in stock. Okay fine, I said. Please issue a refund for the tubing I was returning. Then he said that they did not carry the brand I was trying to return. Obviously, they did because I bought it 2 days ago off their shelf, the cashier rang up the sale and gave me a receipt. I had the receipt. The receipt showed 1/4" inch tubing, 100'. This was entered incorrectly by the cashier when I purchased it. Ray proceeded to tell me about how it was wrapped in plastic and they don't do that with their tubing. He then told me it had the wrong kind of label on it, that they don't use that label. He then told me that they don't carry that size. Obviously, he was inferring that I didn't buy the tubing from their store. Interestingly, Ray was doing something on the isle when I bought the tubing 2 days earlier and we spoke briefly. I reminded him of that. The cashier said that they would honor it, but that wasn't the point. Ray made it sound like I was trying get away with something.......in front of 2 other customers. It was insulting and embarrassing at the same time. For a lousy $11 of tubing. I'm a Chino Valley resident and have been going to that store for over 7 years. I was treated like I was being dishonest. I will NEVER go back there.
