Just went today and it was delicious! I was able to try different flavors of ice cream but I already had an idea of what I wanted, which was Frescas con Crema and it was sooo good they use fresh strawberries and adds granola if you'd like. My boyfriend got a Cookie Monster milkshake which was delicious as well!! The service was wonderful, the ladies working were kind and attentive and genuinely made the experience even better. The shop itself is very clean, super cute and decorated, and even has a small area to take cute pictures!! Will be going back :)

    Raspado tamarindo

Our favorite new raspado place! We happened upon this cute nevería after eating at Don Jose's next door. It's tucked away in the far left corner of the building and parking is very limited. They have a wide variety of paletas, raspados and other antojitos. The owners were a delight to chat with. I recommend you try the tamarindo raspado, you can tell it's made from scratch with whole fruit and not gimmicky syrup that some competitors nearby have. The prices are unbeatable compared to other similar locales nearby

It was just interesting to have with a place that appeared to be for ice cream. The ice cream itself was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. A lot of different options and mixtures, but it was definitely on the more expensive side for what is being offered. My bigger gripe was that it took a long time despite there not being too many people. We were the only parties in there in the beginning and a buddy ordered a single scoop of ice cream first. When we had all finished individually ordering, more people arrived. Instead of giving us our orders first or even starting on it (again, our first friend ordered a normal scoop first), he went ahead and started with the customers that just arrived. That would be fine, but as he was the only worker, we had to wait almost 10 minutes before our ice cream was even started on.

I ordered two small Thai teas with boba and one small Indian tea, and the total was $19, which felt a bit pricey for the portion sizes. The drinks were okay, but not anything that really stood out. They've also added a small food menu with Mediterranean-style snacks and gyros, which is a nice idea. Overall, it's not bad and convenient if you're nearby, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for.

Came with a small group of friends for an evening of sweet treats; first time for us to be here…read more Let me start by saying, the 4 stars are for the product itself...I would have truly given 2 stars for the two young men working that evening. Having never been, it took us some time to get the feel of the treats, watch others order, study the menu and then deciding on what to order. Several others in our group had been previously and they all had suggestions as well to share. Both of us got a small Jelati, which is a layered mix of Italian Ice and soft serve ice cream...you can also choose to have toppings like sprinkles, Oreo cookie crumbs, butter cookies, etc. I decided on the Key West Tropical (a wonderful tasting mix of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, banana, and coconut) layered with vanilla soft-serve and no toppings. Also, I choose the small size which was actually perfect for a tasty treat. The Jelati itself was so good...creamy and the Tropical ice was amazing and so made me want to be in the tropics! Wife decided on the lemon ice layered with vanilla and no toppings. She loved it but did say it needed a tad more of that lemon tart flavor. We will come back to try some of the other flavor combos...highly recommend this place for nice, cool, summer treat! Now on to the reason I initially said I would give 2 stars for the employees. As I was watching them make treats, I observed no gloves, I observed both touching their faces and hair, rubbing hands on pants, etc. When I was asked about ordering, I specifically asked that the young man making the treats please wash his hands and glove up, to which I got a look from the one taking the orders but he walked over to the other one, said something to him and he in turn took over the cash register while the initial young man who took the order went and washed his hands for a second or two, walked over to the gloves, put them on and made my treat. As soon as he was done, the gloves came off and he continued to make the following treats being ordered. Although nothing was said by either, the looks and overall tone was definitely changed but I really didn't care and just explained that food safety should be the top of their list. Just in case they see this...from the AzDHS food safety website: In Arizona, food workers must avoid bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods by using single-use gloves, tongs, or deli paper. We will be back for sure so hopefully employees are brought up to speed on safety requirements for washing hands and wearing gloves.

Flavor wise it was good. The consistency of the italian ice is very different from Joe's, if you ever been there. I do love that they have a frog theme and the service was nice . We ordered the Cookies and Cream soft serve in a cup ($4.50) with crushed toppings and macarons, along with an order of two Taiyaki's ($4.95), both filled with nutella. I've visited few Somisomi locations before. The consistency of the soft serve is very smooth, but the highlight of the menu for me is the nutella filled Taiyaki. It was fresh & hot and it definitely balances the cold soft serve. I could also eat the Taiyaki on it's own. My main critique is that the soft serve flavor is very subtle and a bit too mild for my taste. I could barely taste any Cookies and Cream flavor beyond the toppings that were added. If it wasn't for the Taiyaki, I would not order the soft serve on it's own. I'd be open to giving Somisomi another try. True rating would be a 3.5 Visited 5/11/26

J-Wow, are you really reviewing a Water and Ice?…read more I am, but let me just say that this isn't just a regular Water and Ice. It's a COOL Water 'n Ice. More than just the average water and ice spot, they also sell Thrifty ice cream and advertise that they have $4.99 boba as well. While I didn't partake in purchasing either sweet treat, I did stop in to get some water. Water is $0.55 per gallon but if you get the prepaid RO water card, it would be $0.50 That's all I wanted to say. That and it's quite warm in here!

We needed enough water to make our baby's formula and cover our basic needs until morning. I completely understand that I arrived only eight minutes before closing, which is exactly why I brought in only one of my seven jugs. I didn't want to be the customer who comes in right before closing with a large order and keeps the employees there late. As soon as I walked into the store, an employee immediately told me they were "out of water." I thanked them politely, assumed there was nothing that could be done, and walked back to my car. About a minute later, I saw another customer carrying five or six empty water jugs into the store. They were able to begin filling all of them without any issue. Naturally, I was confused because I had just been told the store was out of water. I turned around and went back inside since it was clear there wasn't actually a problem with the water. Once I walked back in, the employee said, "Oh, I guess they're working now." While speaking with the other customers in the store, they also shared that they had initially been told there was no water, but decided to try anyway and it worked. I understand that things happen and equipment can be unpredictable, especially near closing time. However, as the other customer was finishing up, the employee walked over and said, "Well, are you going to pay for that or what?" Both myself and the other customers were stunned not only by what was said, but also by the tone in which it was delivered. The overall attitude made it feel as though we were a burden simply for trying to purchase water and go about our evenings. I completely understand the need to complete closing tasks and manage time efficiently, but there is still a way to do that while maintaining basic customer service and respect.
