Came with a small group of friends for an evening of sweet treats; first time for us to be here. Let me start by saying, the 4 stars are for the product itself...I would have truly given 2 stars for the two young men working that evening. Having never been, it took us some time to get the feel of the treats, watch others order, study the menu and then deciding on what to order. Several others in our group had been previously and they all had suggestions as well to share. Both of us got a small Jelati, which is a layered mix of Italian Ice and soft serve ice cream...you can also choose to have toppings like sprinkles, Oreo cookie crumbs, butter cookies, etc. I decided on the Key West Tropical (a wonderful tasting mix of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, banana, and coconut) layered with vanilla soft-serve and no toppings. Also, I choose the small size which was actually perfect for a tasty treat. The Jelati itself was so good...creamy and the Tropical ice was amazing and so made me want to be in the tropics! Wife decided on the lemon ice layered with vanilla and no toppings. She loved it but did say it needed a tad more of that lemon tart flavor. We will come back to try some of the other flavor combos...highly recommend this place for nice, cool, summer treat! Now on to the reason I initially said I would give 2 stars for the employees. As I was watching them make treats, I observed no gloves, I observed both touching their faces and hair, rubbing hands on pants, etc. When I was asked about ordering, I specifically asked that the young man making the treats please wash his hands and glove up, to which I got a look from the one taking the orders but he walked over to the other one, said something to him and he in turn took over the cash register while the initial young man who took the order went and washed his hands for a second or two, walked over to the gloves, put them on and made my treat. As soon as he was done, the gloves came off and he continued to make the following treats being ordered. Although nothing was said by either, the looks and overall tone was definitely changed but I really didn't care and just explained that food safety should be the top of their list. Just in case they see this...from the AzDHS food safety website: In Arizona, food workers must avoid bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods by using single-use gloves, tongs, or deli paper. We will be back for sure so hopefully employees are brought up to speed on safety requirements for washing hands and wearing gloves. read more

We got the strawberry shortcake and the oreo mud slide for our first time there and its honestly a lot. I think you'd just be fine without toppings and two different flavors. Flavor wise it was good. The consistency of the italian ice is very different from Joe's, if you ever been there. I do love that they have a frog theme and the service was nice . We aways love a sample tasting. They have unique flavors but I definitely wouldn't drive all the way out to Chandler for it ,anytime soon. If you're in the area and want something other than just ice cream they i recommend giving them a try. read more

We went the soft-serve route & loved it. The mixed vanilla & chocolate swirl was delicious and perfectly smooth. The small size was more than enough, though in the summer I'd definitely go for a large. The young man working was very polite & happily offered samples until we decided on the soft-serve swirl. Italian ice flavors - Five plus yummy flavors! Chocolate tastes a little light but still has flavor. Has little chocolate chips inside. Would probably not get again. Black cherry tastes like medicine to me. Others may disagree as all taste buds are different. A little light on flavor. Would not get again. Others might like it. Cookies and cream leaves me with wanting more flavor. A little like a watery Oreo. Probably would not get again. Cake batter tastes like uncooked cake batter. Would not get again. Others might like it. Cookie butter or batter tastes like a graham cracker. I might get it again. Though I don't like graham crackers, I liked it for some reason. Blue razz tastes almost like what I would expect cotton candy to taste like. I like it. I would get it again. Mint scoop froggy frog has chocolate chips like the chocolate. It has a bright mint flavor. I might get it again. I like mint but I know others who don't like mint and so wouldn't like it. I wonder why it's called scoop froggy frog. The pink cotton candy tastes like bubble gum. I thought it tasted good before, but maybe I don't like it as much as before. I probably wouldn't get it again. Strawberry is a little tart when compared to the pink cotton candy that tastes a little like bubble gum. I would get it again. One of my favorite flavors. Horchata can be hidden by the flavor of the cookie batter. One of my favorite flavors. I would get it again. Five plus yummy flavors! Atmosphere - Medium loud music playing when I visited. I don't like loud music. It's hard to hear with loud music. I did not visit the restroom. A little cold inside to keep the ice icy. I have been to some places where it's been hot. It was not very busy inside and outside. They usually have large groups that suddenly arrive. The groups are usually loud. There was a small noisy group that arrived when I was there. Luckily they went outside. Service - There was one employee. The service here was quick. Parking - Surface parking lot. No parking meter or parking structures. One tip is to eat the Italian ice treat at the store otherwise your Italian ice will start to melt quickly in the hot Arizona weather. Another tip IS to ask for the flavor you like best last or make sure to specify which flavor on top. I enjoy the ice cream with the Italian ice even though I never thought I would. You can get three flavors in your cup. You can also get less flavors if you love one a lot. The last tip is to not put the cookie batter and horchata next to each other. The horchata flavor was too light. I wonder if the piña colada has pineapple pieces in it. I wonder how salty the sea salted caramel IS. I wonder how tart the lemon flavor is. The strawberry lemon IS probably less tart. I wonder how the orange smash tastes like. Could taste like fresh orange juice or could taste like an orange popsicle or could taste like an orange Fanta. I wonder if the root beer flavor tastes strong or weak. Bahama freeze seems like an interesting mixture. I wonder how it tastes. I wonder how sour the green apple is. I wonder how different the regular cherry flavor is from the black cherry. Love the mango. There are real coconut flakes in the coconut flavor! They didn't have these flavors when I went: Banana, black raspberry, blueberry, key west tropical, passion fruit, peach, pumpkin pie, red raspberry, watermelon. Pumpkin pie is probably seasonal. Don't know when they might have peach. I probably wouldn't get banana anyway. read more

We love coming to Jeremiah's for a sweet treat!! Their Jelatis are so delicious, with tons of flavor options and combinations there's almost too much to choose from! But the staff make coming in and trying something new super easy and fun. As a person who struggles to decide I really appreciate wonderful, friendly employees like Poppy and Isaac who are always happy to let me try different flavors of Italian ice with helpful suggestions! They've even offered to mix the flavors together so I know how they'll taste in my Jelati which I really appreciate! They also do a FANTASTIC job keeping the place clean and welcoming. Jeremiah was a bullfrog, and apparently also has good taste in Italian Ice! We stopped here for some cool dessert since we had a coupon for a free small ice. I loved the names of the different Italian ice selections and when I saw a Snoop Froggy Frog I knew that was the Italian ice for me. I did not see a Martha Italian ice but I am sure if they bring out that flavor it's a good thing. The aforementioned Froggy Frog is a mint chocolate ice with soft serve. The flavor of the ice was spot on, super refreshing and it was a nice contrast to the creamy vanilla soft serve. I'd definitely get this again. The service was a bit slow, but the employee was friendly. I am often in this area. I like that it is close to the library. Though, it is on the other side of the parking lot. It might be difficult to find if you are looking for it from the south or east side of the parking lot. I really wanted to try their horchata flavor but it wasn't available. My family and I went to Jeremiah's with high expectations and they met all of them. When we went there, their ice cream maker didn't work and the lady was so nice and gave me back my coupon, raised our serving size, and apologized multiple times. Many places would have probably not have done this, but I was so amazed that she did that. Also, it tasted amazing, the creamy Italian ice. I can't wait to go back and try more! I tried it out and I instantly knew I'd be coming back here as often as I can. Prior to this experience, I never tried Italian ice and I don't know why. My son was SO excited to redeem his Jeremiah's Ice coupon today that he very proudly earned at his elementary school. The owner (pictured here), however, refused to accept the coupon stating that the coupon actually expired yesterday, 12/11 and would not accept it today, 12/12. Really???
