I ended up grabbing a box of goodies and I was shocked at how reasonably priced she was. Upon arriving home I immediately tried the English Bakewell tart. It was lovely, I can best describe the taste as a cake on top with a buttery crust on the bottom. The shortbread is really good too, a buttery crumbly bite which is her mother's recipe. The good thing is there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so no issues finding a table. Everything we ordered was delicious, mascarpone egg and cheese sandwiches one with added ham and two different breads: herb Italian and a bagel. But, my absolute favorite was the Neapolitan cookies. I loved buying those when I lived in NYC 25 years ago. Haven't found at any Italian bakery since then now that I live in NC and it was a nice surprise! Coconut and almond cookies were really good. If I could offer any advice, have lavender, pistachio and other syrups for the lattes :)
