    Very delicious beer.

This weekend I went with some friends to see some live music at Strange Brew Pub in Norwich! This is such a fun place, if I lived closer I would go here all the time. Strange Brew Pub was originally a distillery in 1741, after that it served a multitude of businesses, and as of 2017 it's been a music venue and a bar. What a strong living place this is! They don't brew their own beers, but they have over 100 available. This place has so much character! Just by walking close to it, you'll notice the beautiful peacock painting on the stairs next to this place. Upstairs, the walls are covered in records. It almost looks like a big barn. It's all natural wood everywhere. Here you'll find some beautiful artwork. Maybe a local high school's students work. You can play darts and pool, and of course enjoy live music. I had a very delicious beer, that I've never heard of before. It's called Complimentary Colors, and it's a delicious blueberry sour beer. They don't make their own food here, but you can order from nearby places, or bring your own food. This a pretty small place, when the full band plays the floors are shaking and for a minute I thought the we'd all crash through the floor. But this almost 300 year old building is truly handling it all! I really love Strange Brew Pub, if you're in the area I encourage you to stop at this historic place and check out the beautiful and unique artwork, throw some darts, or enjoy a beer you've never had before.

Great atmosphere. Love the trivia nights and their takeover nights. Drinks are always great as well.

Always something to see here. Cool staff. Great music. And they sell artworks by local artists. Definitely worth a visit.

Still really good food…read more Returned to this location to see if they were still doing well. Got a full English breakfast special, minus the blood sausage. Also ordered a mocktail of a basil lemonade. The drink was not too sweet and the basil added a tiny touch of herby savoryness which was a nice accent flavor. The full English breakfast was cooked well, good quality ingredients and each element was seasoned appropriately. I could only make a small dent in the dish before sending it back satisfied. The server was friendly, but I threw them off with my quirky behavior. Lead to a little slower service and multiple requests for some items. Nothing against the establishment, just something that happened during my visit. Still a strong recommendation for Main Street, and worth a trek to try.

I'm back! I love this place! It's quiet here ) it's only a Tuesday) but we're late (arrived at 9:15…read morePM). There is no shortage of decor here! I like the huge carafe of ice water and the spicy potato chips! For my first drink, I'm having a Negroni. A negroni is an Italian cocktail, made of equal parts gin, vermouth rosso (red, semi-sweet), and Campari, generally served with ice, and commonly garnished with an orange slice or orange peel. It is considered an apéritif. They also have an Obi Wan Negroni made with Cold Brew Infused Campari instead. For my first food item, I'm having the Cream of Mushroom soup with chicken. Cream of mushroom soup is a simple type of soup where a basic roux is thinned with creamor milk and then mushrooms or mushroom brothare added. This is delicious! It's nice and hot with a lot of shredded chicken. For my entree, I'm having the Brussels Sprout Salad made with shaved Brussels sprouts, spring mix, bacon, pomegranate drizzle, silvered almonds, shaved Parmesan and lemon vinaigrette dressing. Look at the height of this! This tastes great! I am also having a side of mushy peas. Mushy peas are a traditional British side dish of marrowfat peas that are cooked until soft and mashed into a mush. The dish is especially popular in Northern England and the Midlands, and often eaten with fish and chips or served as part of "pie and peas". Here's a quick overview of mushy peas: Ingredients** Traditionally made with dried marrowfat peas, but can be substituted with frozen peas or green split peas. I love this! It's nice and hot.,What a rare treat! This is hard to find anywhere! I'm also having a side of cold slaw. Coleslaw, or "slaw" in North America, is a side dish of shredded cabbage with a vinaigrette or mayo-based dressing. The word "coleslaw" comes from the Dutch term koolsla, meaning "cabbage salad". Recipes vary by region and can include additional ingredients like carrots, apples, raisins, or celery. Coleslaw originated in the Netherlands in the 18th century, but references to similar cabbage salads appear in ancient Greek and Roman medical texts. This is the best! Nice, thick dressing! For my last drink, I'm having a Godfather. The Godfather is a sweet and strong cocktail that blends Scotch whisky and amaretto liqueur. It's typically served in an old-fashioned glass over ice and can be garnished with an orange twist. The drink became popular in the 1970s disco scene and is named after the 1972 film starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino. Some say bartender Joe Scialom created the Godfather to capture the movie's spirit. This is done just right! Good job! What a great meal here!

Great Dive Bar - Delicious Food…read more Ryans is old dive bar pub with dated decor (which is a good thing) and plenty of food and drink deals. The food at this pub is spot on. I love their kickin chickin. its a great value and you can choose the sauce and trust me, i've tried all of them and they are all fantastic. also, the lobster roles and fried seafood are of the quality you would see at a seafood restaurant but without the high cost. Definitely check this place out if you are in Groton area. Thanks

It's not easy being a woman and being by yourself but Erin the bartender made me feel welcome right away. My battery almost died and she went above and beyond by lending me her personal charger. I was grateful due to the fact that my phone was dying. She handled the bar with ease. Most people seemed to know each other and were very pleasant. I saw a couple pool tables to the side. Keno was playing but I'm not sure what else they offered. TV's were on playing sports and the enthusiast were really enjoying the game. I had already eaten so I can't tell you about the food but from what I saw it looked delicious If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop in and hopefully it's Erin's shift.
