Great breakfast at a good price. I used to come here years ago when I was stationed at the Submarine base. Had the ham and cheese omelet with potaand toast. All tasted good and service was exactly what you want it to be.

Try this great little breakfast place! Cute decor, super friendly staff (and close to the casino's if you spent a night there and were looking for a good local breakfast option) I had wonderfully crispy bacon and sweet cream pancakes. They were fluffy and delicious (though a little sweeter than my usual taste) My husband had the meat lovers omelette and he said it was amazing. Coffee was hot and frequently refilled if needed Would recommend if you are in the area!

This is my third time here. Staff is very friendly. Family owned and you feel the love and quality. I came with a small group of friends for breakfast. We stayed for 2 hours. The coffee was a bit on the watery side for everyone on the table. I like mine light but I had to admit it was too light which I think is ok if they offer the ability to make it stronger or add an expresso shot. We asked and no options available. They do give lots of coffee thought. We asked about Gluten free options and only toast was available. Not terrible but the person in our group was limited. Still have to say what we ordered was good and Kaydance did a pretty good job taking care of us. I will definitely come back.

This is an enjoyable diner with lots of seating and friendly service. They have large windows and a wide open layout to really maximize the sunny aspect of the name. I tried the kielbasa Benedict and some biscuits and gravy because the prices were reasonable enough to do so. I found the Benedict to be great, smooth hollandaise, perfectly poached egg, and the kielbasa was essentially a steak it was so thick. I thought the home fries were a bit over seasoned, so I didn't eat much of them. The biscuits and gravy were a large portion, but I found the gravy too peppery to be edible. I had mine with the eggs poached too. Despite mixing the yolk through the gravy, even that couldn't make it edible. Lastly, the coffee cup was gigantic, like they know people want real amounts of coffee. I imagine this cuts down on the number of refills the staff has to provide, freeing them up to do other things with their time. Overall, worth a visit if you're in the area. One note, the jukebox defaults to country, but you can change it if that's not to your liking.

Exterior/Interior Appearance: Looks a bit dated inside and out, Ambiance: Has a nice local atmosphere to it, without the dreaded 'everybody turning to stare at you' feature! Seems people were enjoying their food and convos. Service: Walked in and not a minute later I was seated.. Sweet! Server came right over and asked if I would like a beverage to start, and I went with a black coffee. Server was super friendly and it seems all the servers and staff were outgoing and all had positive attitudes. Honestly couldn't have asked for better service from a small local diner. Food: Went with the Three eggs, two slices toast, and hash browns... absolutely slapping! Eggs were cooked just right, toast had just the right amount of crisp and butter lovin', and the hash brown were the icing on the cake! By the way coffee hit the spot! Overall: Highly recommended giving this place a shot

I got a little saucy last night and was in need for some breakfast. Let me tell you this place did not miss. By far some of the best breakfast food I've had in a long time. Owners are present and it looked like everyone around was enjoying themselves. Do yourself a favor and order the Kielbasa Benedict. You will not be disappointed! Staff was very welcoming and very attentive. It's most certainly good vibes in there and I will be back next time I am in town!

The place is OK. All the people are very friendly. The area isn't too bad of a area so you don't have to worry about a lot of traffic and and what not. Me and my girl went there for breakfast. I got the steak home fries, eggs, corn, bread, coffee, and some water. It's was okay. Online for the steak said it was like $12 it ended up being $15.99 and you have to asked them for it because it's not on the in-house menus. I give them 3.5 Stars!! Thanks guys for a great morning breakfast.

Nice open yet cozy seating and friendly smiles all around. Two of us had a delicious Cobb salad - we both felt it needed a bit more dressing - but it was super fresh and tasty. One had a steakhouse burger which she really liked as well and we split Shed Fries and Sweet Potato fries. All was delicious. I knocked one star off because we all really felt the burgers should have come with fries as opposed to a pickle spear and coleslaw. For the price, an added pile of fries would have been nice as opposed to having to order a side plate. That aside, food was delicious, service was spectacular. John was super friendly and helpful with choices too. Tempted to go back to try their brunch items! Maybe before I leave I'll get back there!

I don't know if they just put a lot of mayonnaise on it or whatever they had on it. It made the bun really soggy and hard to eat. And it was almost too big of a piece of chicken like it was too stacked on top of each other so I couldn't even fit it in my mouth. I am sure if I tried something else. I would have liked it better, but I feel like with the a fried chicken place being right upstairs that it would have been a little bit different.

Everyone was so sweet and really made us feel like a part of the family. When we sat down the owner gave us complimentary blueberry-banana bread that she had baked this morning - it was delicious! Two of us have dietary restrictions that we are usually hesitant to ask about, but at that point Monique had spoiled us so much (9 options for toast!) and traded so many jokes that we felt totally comfortable asking for modifications. The food was amazing- I loved my blueberry banana bread pancakes, the potatoes were really delicious, everyone's food was cooked perfectly. The eggs benedict looked really good, and there were a lot of fun specials that I want to try next time. So attentive with coffee refills as well. 1000% recommend!

We loved all the photos on the wall showing how this restaurant has been part of the community for some years. Our food was overall good, but not amazing. I got an eggs benedict special and added spinach at the server's recommendation; I was surprised that it came on a bed of spinach, rather than cooked and on top of the English muffin with the other ingredients. Everything was cooked well, and I enjoyed my meal. My husband got an omelet and the home fries, which were fine. We also got some of the house-made banana bread with blueberries but were disappointed that it lacked structure and was rather soggy. We toasted it up at home in slices, and that was much better. My husband said the coffee was "fine--regular diner coffee." We were frankly shocked by the prices. We are used to California restaurant prices, which are quite high--but our breakfast here was even more expensive than that. Not sure what accounts for this, as there are other breakfast places in the area that aren't quite this dear.

TO BE FAIR THE WINGS WERE FIRE And I WENT ON A MONDAY…read more I'm giving this place 3/5 stars because the food was great, the hostess was extremely attentive but I simply did not get the full experience of the location due to the time and day. Therefore, I will need to revisit to give a better review. I visited The Blue Duck this past Monday, on Presidents' Day at happy hour. I got there around 3 and left just before 5. The wings were 5 for a little over $5 or something like that. Which honestly $1 wing in this economy! Excellent for my pockets. Anyways, the place was quiet, a few people did start coming in as I was leaving, and again, I came on a Monday. Not really a peak bar day. But I would say the location is near the water which is a plus. The seating area at the bar was massive. I'm curious to see how busy it gets on the weekend. This isn't necessarily and instagramable/ social media picturesque kind of spot. Ok, so the wings- I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH- they were AMAZING . I love it when the skin after being smothered in sauce is still crispy. And they were! The blue cheese wasn't liquidity or too chunky. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The best part- for me- is that they were the shoestring kind of fries. I'm not big on the steak fries or thicker cuts. They were salted just right! No condiments needed for dipping. I ordered two drinks, which I honestly wasn't too impressed by. But it's my bad. I probably should have stuck to shots or basics like A sour of some sort. Idk. The other drinks could be delicious. Overall the only reason at this point that I'm coming back is the wings. Truthfully, the only reason I traveled 45 minutes to New London was after seeing an IG post about all-you-can-eat wings on Mondays. Sadly they aren't doing that anymore.

Really promising in terms of decor, but a big let down for the food…read more The $8 charge in chicken was ridiculously high, moving a platter of nachos from $15 to $23, for chicken that is not particularly flavorful nor plentiful. We got a platter of nachos and the only exciting thing was the sheer size of it: one platter served five people, with some more to spare. The nachos were dry, flavorless, and was almost like dipping chips into a generic grocery store queso. All the vegetables were raw, so it didn't add much to the dish. I'd recommend really seasoning at least one element of the tray, like the vegetables, and it would have been decent. The Nashville fried chicken sandwich was spicy without flavor. Another massive portion size with plenty of fries, but nothing I would order again. Sweet Thai chili sauce that came with the Brussels sprouts had the texture of wet corn starch that had been mixed in with a bottled chili sauce--gloopy and oddly too sweet.

"I fell asleep in Tuscany and dreamed The one thing missing…read morewas you" (Rod Stewart) The Mohegan Sun Casino has 43 dining options, so choosing somewhere for lunch isn't a simple task. The task becomes somewhat easier if you eliminate the food court and the restaurants that open at 4:00. So based upon those parameters, and our wish to go somewhere "nice", we walked into Todd English's Tuscany. It's smack in the middle of the massive Mohegan Sun property, pretty much in the center of a triangle connecting the Casino of the Sky, Sky Convention Center, and Sky Tower hotel. The entrances into the restaurant are pretty cool. They look like you are walking into a mountainside with stone cliffs soaring up into the sky. We had a choice between ordering of the menu or going with their $34.99 Tuscan Table buffet. After looking at the menu, we both agreed the buffet was the way to go. It's available Monday - Friday from 11:00am - 3:00pm, and offers "A variety of authentic Italian dishes, including antipasti, salads, fresh made in-house pasta, flatbreads, dessert fare, and choice of non-alcoholic beverage". It was a great choice. I started off with a cup of black bean soup and then hit the appetizer station where I was delighted to see a big cauldron of shrimp and mussels fra diavlo. That's a big favorite of mine, so I grabbed a plate, a slice of crostini, and a few big scoops of that spicy seafood. I loved it. After that, I tried some lobster mac and cheese and short rib pappardelle. Oh, by the way, all of their pastas are house made. I would have enjoyed the mac and cheese more if the customers in front of me hadn't harvested all of the lobster chunks for their personal consumption. And then of course, the big dessert station was next -cannoli, whoopie pies, cheesecake, tarts, pastries, tiramisu, and some sugar-free offerings. Good luck controlling yourself here. Kattryna was our server and she was efficient, professional, and a fun conversationalist. She told us the restaurant gets busy toward the end of the month when the points gamblers earn will run out, especially for brunches. So, if you want to check out their weekend brunch ($59.99) you best check on availability first.
