I grew up within 10 minutes of Palermo's but, as far as I can recall, never knew it existed before recently. I'm visiting family in New Jersey for Christmas, so it seemed like a good time to place an order with them. We opted for delivery, as my mom is sick and I'm a terrible night driver, but I would not do that again. Their online ordering system was pretty confusing. At first I landed on an online ordering menu that I don't think was the correct one as it gave zero descriptions on anything. I backed out and then clicked into the correct one. Based on the layout, I assumed I was ordering delivery direct through the restaurant rather than an outside partner, which I prefer to do. Nope. It was DoorDash. Had I realized that, I could've used a DoorDash coupon or ordered elsewhere. Instead, I spent $9.99 for a delivery fee, plus $2.99 service charge, tax, plus tip, and the order was essentially double the cost of takeout. It wasn't obvious that it was an outside partner until the tracking link was emailed. Plus the delivery driver made a stop along the way, so my food was lukewarm on arrival. Ugh. It also took an hour to be delivered compared to their website estimate of 25 minutes. Delivery aside, the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed my slice of cheese pizza - the sauce was perfect! The cheesesteak was also delightfully cheesy and cooked perfectly. I probably wouldn't order the tuna club again. I think I overcharged myself, as it didn't have a description so I couldn't figure out what came on it. As such, I added bacon and assumed it'd have cheese as the site referenced "substituting" cheese, so I didn't add that. Turns out - no cheese (so sad) and now bacon on two layers, so I assume they added extra. My mom had a cup of their chicken noodle soup, which she deemed "tasty." High praise from her. Since I overall enjoyed what I ordered, I'd likely go back sometime on a future visit. Though I do feel minorly ripped off by the online ordering experience so I'm more likely to try other local spots first. read more

Sorry, I haven't discovered this hidden gem before. My picky sister travels to my house and past a few diff family favs to grab their Round pie which is cooked perfect. Unless you live in or close to town, you've probably never heard of Palermo's and that is perfectly fine. I was introduced by my girlfriend who grew up in Williamstown. From what I know, Palermo's has been around for a bit now. They certainly pre-date Pat's and may just be one of the town's best kept secrets sitting quietly in a plaza along the Black Horse Pike (Rt 322) whose main business from the street appears to be a CVS. Now, I've had a lot of South Jersey pizza and most of it, albeit good, tastes the same to me, but something about Palermo's pizza is different. It's better and still maintain's the old school neighborhood pizza vibe that so many other's of it's kind have lost. It doesn't try to be anything it's not (in fact, its Internet presence is practically limited to Yelp) but it will continue to serve hungry people from the neighborhood when they are craving that perfect slice. The crust is thin but not paper or cracker thin, yet has the right amount of depth to support the sweet tomato sauce and gooey cheese. Pizza is something that should absolutely be cherished here but there is another hidden star that, although on the menu, must be ordered a specific way. This item - is the fried pizza turnover. Some of you may be shaking your head thinking, but isn't that just a panzerotti and you know what, you would be correct. But because Palermo's does their own version, they cannot call it that. What makes a Palermo's panzerotti so special? Well for one thing, you better be hungry when you order. This turnover is the size of a baby, and I'm not joking. I've never seen a panzerotti this big. Size does matter here. It's large and in charge and will keep you coming back for bite after bite. Yes, it needs to be cut up and eaten, preferably with at least one partner, as this behemoth is not for the faint of heart. By now, you should get the point. Neighborhood pizza joint with a small sign, tucked deep back into a small unassuming plaza churning out delicious pies and fantastic 'fried pizza turnovers.' Come hungry. Leave Happy. read more

I been buying from Palermo's my whole life. Food is now over priced and not family affordable. The food is never consistent. Fries are either soggy or greasy, sometimes they are made right. Just very upsetting this use to be my favorite pizza spot in town and now I question myself on if they are a place I want to even go back to anymore. We love this place. I grew up in the NYC pizza zone, so my tastes in pizza are particular and well honed. Although the pizza is not exactly what I grew up with, it is the only Williamstown pizzeria I will patronize. The traditional round pies are great, as are the Sicilian pies. I was very pleased with my Meatball Parm I ordered from this restaurant. I ordered takeout and was told it would be a 30 minute wait for a family of 4's orders. The food was ready in 25, hot and ready to eat. I assume the other members of my family enjoyed their meal, as it was all eaten that night. I also ordered a side of french fries, which are the generic fries, nothing too special. My Meatball Parm was hot, the bread wasn't soggy, there wasn't too much sauce or too many meatballs to blow out the bread. There weren't any odd spices or sauces that came with it either. It was a regular meatball parm, but it was quite tasty. Since the food was the usual (as expected), I rate 4 stars. Had the food blown me away, I would give 5, but unfortunately I was not blown away. I would recommend eating here though, and I will be eating here again in the future im sure. read more

This Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria is a hidden gem in Williamstown NJ. It's in a large shopping center tucked away from all the other stores. This is quite honestly the best pizza in town. Super thin slices with great flavor and taste. They are always consistent with the quality of food. The shrimp parm and chicken parm will literally melt in your mouth. Coming from NY I was quite skeptical to find such good food. Whatever they are doing they are doing right. Thanks to all the cooks and chefs.
