HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! You may be thinking "why?" Well I went to Paliskates (the new one in Brentwood) they had a wide variety of Needohs and the workers claimed that they were authentic. My friend paid around $30 on only 2 Needohs. My friend unboxed the Needohs and they were sticky, smelt bad, were leaking a bit, bad quality, and in the verge of popping. The store did not tell us there was no returns when we bought the needohs. We went to return them but they told us they can only do exchanges. And all the kids in the store ranging from 5-13 years old were told these needohs were authentic some buying over $100 worth of Needohs. This was the worst experience ever why you might ask was because I asked if they had needohs and asked if they were real they said yes then I opened them with my friend, and they were fake sticky, smelly hard, and on the urge about pop when I bought them, they never told me that there was a return policy that I couldn't return them. I could only exchange them. I was really disappointed in this because first of all we are customers and should let us know that we can only exchange if I would've known that we could only exchange something. I would've never bought these after I opened them. I went back and I asked hey can I have? Can I return these? they said no and we can only exchange them. I thought maybe I can exchange it for a shirt or something that their shirts were $200 and could get nothing for buying these really expensive needoh I paid 60 bucks for is really expensive i'm really disappointed because I thought I could return them if I didn't like they weren't damaged and the box perfect shape when I went back, they told me I could not return so now I have these one about to pop fake squishy and this other one that like chemicals and there's a tiny hole in it go to the store because of this behavior this is really really really not good disrespectful to their customers. You should never buy from them. This is really disappointing and sad. not happy with my experience and I'm really really really really sad because I thought these were gonna be good and now I have these two broken in my bag that I paid a lot of money for. read more

Paliskates is a great shop for board gear. I am a beginner skater and I came here looking for a maintenance kit for my board. It was a hand me down and needed some work. The lady working the shop was super nice and helpful and I'm glad I came in. If I lived closer I would stop there more often. read more

I Grew up here. I was one of the first people in the store when they opened, I used to spend everyday here growing up. The owners have always treated me like family, I was on the skate team when it first formed. I used to build skate boards here for fun and play video games on the couch. It's so cool to see the new generation carrying on the legacy. This place is a STAPLE in the Pacific Palisades. I can't wait to raise a family & show them the shop! Erica is the best! read more

Everytime I go in everyone is so helpful. I had to buy clothes for my nephew who's 18 and tall. we couldn't find anything until the owner came over and literally pulled all these clothes out and he loved everything. I echo the other negative reviews...went in today just take a look around. The sales associate (young blonde) was watching me and following me around the store the entire time. I was there a total of 3 minutes and she must have walked up to me five times to ask me the same questions after I told her I was fine. How are you? Are you looking for something? Can I help you? It was totally unnecessary and made me feel uncomfortable. I changed my tone so she would get the hint to leave me alone. I was about to say something, but decided to let it go. Now that I see other people had a similar experience, it only confirms it was not in my head. If the owner is racist like everyone is saying then it begs the question if she is training her employees to do this? If not, then train these children you hire to have better manners and tact because its not a good look. read more

This store doesn't even deserve one single star. The owner has the worst attitude and she's racist. I bought a few items and because I was a returning customer I asked if I could get a percentage as a discount. She literally kicked me out of the store. I ended up paying the full price which I didn't mind but when I was leaving she told me please don't come back here any more and when I said I won't, as I was walking out she said "go back to your f*ing country" so loud that people who were walking on the side walk could hear it and they got offended more that I did. The other sales person was just shocked and embarrassed. I stopped for a minute to say something but then I changed my mind and walked away. The clothes were overpriced for their quality, while the employees were nice, a majority of the staff seemed busy dealing with obvious faults of the structure, there was a water leak in one place, and it looked like it had been flooded previously with the water damage. The owner also was constantly rude whenever questions were asked to her. I wouldn't recommend this place until either the prices go down or until the building itself is cleaner/repaired. read more

This is definitely the coolest, best shop in the Village! They have great quality clothing, skate boards, and accessories. Erica, the owner is also super cool. Every time I wear my Paliskates hoodie or t-shirts, people tell me "isn't that the greatest place!" Rather than Gucci and all of the high-end Beverly Hills type stores, this is the type of beach store that truly represents our beach community. I can't speak to the quality of the clothing here, but I came in here today with my baby and the sales associate, Kat, was so kind to us. She played peekaboo with her and got me clothing options while I sat and breastfed and then helped me navigate to the dressing room when my baby threw up . The clothes ended up not fitting me right but I really wanted to buy something just because I was so grateful for her thoughtfulness when I was a bit stressed. I'll recommend my friends and family purchase from here based on this experience. read more

I went to this store 2 weeks ago and bought some merchandise. Bought a pair of sweat pants for about 200 dollars. I live one hour away from the shop so when I got home and found out the string was missing I was disappointed. I called the store and left a message and also emailed them. Called other times and the store was closed. Last week I got the owner on the phone, and she apologized and told me she would send me the string for the waist band. A week later I call and she picks up the phone again and when I mention the string again, she responded saying " oh yes, let me see what happened to that, I will call you back," this is the same lady that assured me that I will get it by this week ! I told her if it doesn't get resolved today I will call my credit card. She said "Are you threatening me ?" I told her I have done my part , called and emailed and followed up 4 times! She HUNG UP on me! The girl that originally sold me the merchandise called back and hold me she will send it today. I hope they do what they say. The one star is lack of customer service. Cute shop but no wonder they have poor rating . I am a business owner and understand what it takes to keep people happy. I was never treated so rudely at any store in my life until I encountered the owner of Paliskates, Erica. I went into the store on 12/30/19 and found a jean jacket I wanted to buy. A lovely young woman waited on me. When I went to pay, I gave her a Visa Gift Card that I received for Christmas. The young woman tried to run the card through, but it was declined so she called Erica over for help. Erica also could not get it to go through so I asked her to please hold it for me and I would be back in a few minutes. I went outside and called Visa. They verified that there was $100.00 on this card. They said to go back to the store and ask them first if they accepted Visa and if so, to ask them to run it as "Credit" not debit. I went back and Erica was behind the counter. I explained what Visa told me and she started shouting at me ... "YOUR CARD WAS DECLINED. I WILL NOT RUN IT AGAIN. I DID NOT SELL YOU THE GIFT CARD SO I CANNOT HELP YOU". I told her that I know she did not sell me the gift card but could she just do what Visa asked? She said "NO"! I said ok, and that I would pay for it with my credit card. Erica started screaming at me again "GET OUT OF MY STORE. I WILL NOT EVEN SELL YOU THIS JACKET NOW". Since I was nothing but cordial with her, I am not sure where this behavior was coming from. I have reported Paliskates to Visa. Visa's slogan is "Accepted anywhere Visa is accepted" which is not true. I have long ties to Pacific Palisades. I was born there, raised there, my father opened up Hughes Market (where Ralphs is now) and my mom worked in the Palisades for over 30 years. This behavior is not what the Palisades is all about. I went to another store and found a beautiful jean jacket and received the best service. read more
