Coming to leave a review I am not surprised they only have 2 stars. I live in between BG and the Hazel Dell locations so I go back and forth and this was my first time using the spray booth at this location and I will never be using it again. The girl helping me was not helpful and very shady, lying saying she was giving me a discount when really she was using my tan dollars towards the total. She also didn't give me the special they had going on that my friend got at the HD location. These salons have really gone down hill and their standard for a clean salon went with it. I will upload pictures of how gross the spray booth was. I payed over $40 for a spray tan in a booth that looks like it hasn't been cleaned or updated jam years. I've always kept going here because of the convenience of putting my package on hold but I will be looking for a new place with better service and a clean atmosphere. read more

I don't know what everyone is whining about in the reviews. It's a tanning bed. It's not a new tanning bed and it's been around a while. The beds are nice. I got in the stand up bed and was very happy with my experience and results. The staff was kind, friendly and helpful. I usually go to the fourth plain location but they don't have a stand up bed so I decided to try this location. Zero complaints. I'd give it a solid 4 stars because I didn't try any other bed or the spray tanning. But definitely friendly staff and the stand up bed was great. I'll definitely go back. read more

Do not recommend this place. I've been going for a few years, and I feel like starting last year everything started to go downhill. I've been scammed repeatedly. Last year, I was talked in to "freezing" my account instead of canceling assuring me that I would freeze my current price and avoid new fees. Once I went to unfreeze my account, many months later, there were new fees and new price. In addition to that, they charged me freezing fee after I re-open account, and they refused to give me that money back. I tanned for three months and wanted to cancel my account this time, since I see no reason frizzing it again. Now, they informed me that they will be charging my account for next month full amount almost $100 as well because apparently I needed to cancel before the 25th! I was never informed of that, they never mentioned that , because in the past I did cancel my membership on the spot. I tried talking to the store manager, and she told me that last year they send me that policy in email! Really? I never signed or authorize that! It's like you signed for something once, and they use that signature for anything they like now! When I reopened my account they did give me any print outs stating this kind of things! I feel like this salon has a really sneaky ways of just scamming people's money! I don't believe that they don't have ability to give money back, any businesses can do that, they just want money any way they can get them! January 5th Went and signed up for a membership.. spending a total of $99.17 new sign up fee. I was told there is a promotion going that you get the first month free when you sign up and thought that was too good to pass up my sales associate Anna was amazing! Sold us on a package! I got rung up and cashed out and then asked when the free month started. The cashier was new and had expressed her apologies as we were only the 2nd person she rang up. She forgot to include the free month promo and wasn't sure how to refund it. I said no problem, i would come back Monday and she agreed that was best. I was not mad at all and understood the issue. I came back Monday to speak with the branch manager explaining the mistake. Told her i would be good with her carrying over the balance to the following month. She told me that she could could not do that but was was able to give me instore credit for the over payment and I can't spend it on product in her store. I told her I rather have my money back to which she told me "our registers aren't even capable of doing refunds here" she told me she would try diligently to reach out to their customer service team to see if there was anything they could do, but here is the number if I wanted to try myself. I waited all night and till the next day to hear back from her but never did and at that point my husband decided to follow up. She told him she provided me with the number to customer service to call and see if they could refund me. But there was nothing she could do at store level. He reached out to the customer service team, explained the issue again. Krista was great. Responsive, made us feel heard. Let us know she was going to refund the prorated amount to our account the process takes 7-14 days and she would credit us instore credits to our account for the inconvenience as well as reach out and try to expedite the refund. She also explained that the branch could have and should have processed the refund at store level and the manager was capable of doing this despite her telling me she wasnt even capable of processing refunds. This was January 11th. It is now January 26th. We have not received a refund, not a credit to our accounts and no follow up or confirmation of the refund. We had faith this would be processed promptly. It's funny someone can be quick to withdraw money from our accounts but take their time returning it. We understand the process takes time but over 14 days and still no follow up or follow through. Disappointed in PBT BATTLE GROUND. read more

Misleading sales tactics!!! Just like to say Palm Beach Tan in Battleground is a rip off. I went in on about the 15th of May to start tanning and the girl that sighed me up told me that if i need to cancel do it before the 25th so you don't get charged for the next month and since i started in the middle of the month i would be able to tan through the 15th June the following month. Well i went in today the 22nd and canceled my subscription and the other girl proceeds to tell me that i only have until the end of the month to tan. ( So basically i payed for a full month and all I'm getting is only a little over 2 weeks.) What a rip!!! read more

I like their tanning lotions and beds. Everyone that works there so far have been so informative and helpful. I got a super good deal on a membership and lotion as they were having a promotion. It gets pretty busy depending on the time of day you go but that's the only downside. read more

Misleading sales tactics, billing, and fees. Paid over $80 for a spray tan. Came in for a single spray tan for my wedding, representative explained it would be cheaper to do the membership and that there are locations all over Washington. I told her I live in the Olympia area, not a problem. Well, there are no locations anywhere close to where I live. So I was charged $50 for first tan- spray tan, primer, and startup fee. The following month I am charged $32.40 which they say is because of the startup fee. First, I already paid that fee. Second, $14.99 per month spray tan plus taxes, plus a $20 startup fee does not equal $32.40. The math does not add up and they cannot figure out why I was charged what. I have a useless membership with spray tan credits I can't use, billing that they literally can't make sense of, and they will not refund. Update: corporate Palm Beach Tan did reach out to explain the billing and provide a refund. I emailed the info given on this review. However, Palm Beach Tan of Battle Ground did not follow up or reach out as they said they would. read more

I called earlier the day I was trying to come in, and one of girls said she will do a free tan for me. Get this, it was Mother's Day weekend also. I called my friend to come sit in the car with my babies so I could have a few minutes to take care of myself. I walk in and magically.. a free spray tan turns into a 45 dollar one with horrible customer service. They told me to wait 10-15 mins and they told me they will call me. After waiting 30 minutes with two babies that were screaming and needing to nap. I called them and they told me " oh that's werid. Looks like no one put you in line" my friend tans there all the time and never expected such poor service. Very misleading message. My friend wanted to come in that day and I called her and told her to take her business somewhere else because it's not free, I haven't been this disappointed in a costumer service please in a very long time. The tan didn't last either, overall I am very sad because this was suppose to be a good experience but ended up horrible. They were not Apologetic nor did they offer any discount. So glad I pay for an unlimited spray tan membership at my local tanning salon (Battle Ground) that constantly is referring me to a location that is 20min out of my way in Orchards for my sprays. All because Battle Ground's PBT won't just upgrade their booth, so their parts keep breaking thus putting the booth out of service for days to weeks at a time and hindering customers. Instead of just offering some sort of actual solution (other than the obvious booth replacement), some sort of credit should be given off future bills, or not charging the unlimited clients for the full month due to not having access... my only option given is to drive a total of 40min out of my way. the spray tan was uneven and dripped down the back of one of my legs leaving a streak. in a pinch, it's still not worth it! I am 5'7" - average woman-but the spray booth did not go high enough to cover my shoulders and neck well enough. the primer that the sales woman insisted on did nothing for my skin. it was clean though and the clerk was nice. I will drive 30 minutes to go elsewhere because there are spray booths that you turn four times inside of that give you THE BEST spray EVER! read more

One star is still too high of a rating... The owner really needs to train better because no one knows what they are doing nor what they are talking about, pushing products on you instead of giving the slightest care of my needs and health. Absolutely will not be coming back. Rude employees Plus half the time all the employees/managers do is talk trash about each client after putting them in a room after complimenting them and acting like they were your best friend. Didn't explain the forms I signed and didn't make me feel comfortable I don't even think they know what's better for my skin they just want to sell the most expensive product to benefit them selfs . Learn to be professional, There's a good idea of business they have going on here THEY NEED TO TRAIN CORRECTLY!! If I were a first time tanner I would have no idea what I was doing. I love the tanning beds! I love how every time I have a question, one of the girls answers it without being rude about it and they seem educated on all the tanning products. I used to work at a tanning salon about a year ago and I've been tempted to jump back in for a while now, I live right next to this palm beach battleground location so that's what I thought I would start with. The reason I'm not giving this full stars is because of the 24 hour rule they have. State law is 16 hours and I just think 24 is crap because I don't have a consistent schedule every day and often I'm missing out on tanning days because of this rule. I had a $20 voucher I got from a friend which waived the start up fee, but there is a start up fee which is different from any salon I've been to before. Some good things about this location are the beds are very strong, I've burnt the last couple of times just doing 5 min in the stand up bed and usually I can go up a min at a time anywhere else! Also the staff is extremely friendly and helpful! The one staff member that helped me to find a lotion and the right tanning package was Emma, she was also Manning the whole salon by herself. She got me all set up and ready to tan while taking other clients, phone calls, cleaning beds, Everything! She's such a hard worker and anyone else would have gotten so overwhelmed so easily, and she did everything so efficiently too! All of the other staff members are just as friendly and memorable. read more

I am currently going to Palm beach tan. A few things stand out compared to the last tanning place I went to. I currently live in Battleground and the location is great for me. In the room, there is no chair or garbage can. The radio has only 1 channel, which is music I dont like. A $20.00 start up fee?! Seems like a charge, just to do business there.Most places I Have gone to will give you a pair of loaner goggles if you forget yours. Palm Beach charged me $1.00 for the disposable stickers. Just kinda puts a bad taste in your mouth about the place. Last but not least is the rule that you can not tan,less than 23 hours since your last visit. Even if you go half an hour early, you have to home, and then come back, or sit around and wait. I did think the staff was friendly, and did find the rooms clean. I would like to see some of the above problems addressed, so I can feel like my business is appreciated. They need to realize that there are several other tanning places in the local area. read more

I honestly thought the reviews on here were harsh before I went to this location. I normally go to the 192nd location (although I'm still new to Palm Beach Tan), and that's where I will be staying. I had some errands in Battle Ground so I thought I would go in. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of equipment. At the 192nd location my gold membership gets me roomy beds with a facial tanner I can adjust. This gold bed was small, cramped, and was curved which is uncomfortable. You get one option for the fan: skydiving mode or none at all. The speakers didn't work. I expect the same consistency in equipment everywhere I go - especially from a chain. I think the owner of this location needs to reconsider some things read more

Very poor customer service. I was forced to renew a contract that was suppose to be cancelled before the said date. Due to being in Hawaii I was not able to come into the salon and cancel but two days afterwards I came in to close the account. I was then told I would have to pay for another month. Simple issue to correct but they were not able to be flexible enough to adjust. Lesson learned, I will not be going back. read more

Everything seems way over priced. I've never had to pay more than 8$ bucks at the most for sample packets at a tanning salon. And I feel like the gold bed hardly works. None of the rooms except the beds you pay an arm and a leg for have mirrors in them, fans and speakers don't work ever. I've bought and used an upgrade to have the bed not work so I got downgraded to the level below it when I paid for the platinum or whatever it's called. That happened twice. And just the last time I was in the bed had a weird film on it like it was quickly wiped down with no cleaner. read more

This place pisses me off! First you have to sign up for a revolving membership. I hate that! So they have a link to my bank account in their system, and then they want your finger prints! FINGER PRINTS TO TAN! WTF??? Where's my proof and security that you have a secure data base that protects my accounts and identity? Show me your insurance policy that would cover that in any event my information is jeopardized, OH and I want proof monthly that your insurance is current, while your at it, I want monthly financial statements certified. As a member its in my best interest to know your financial situation, you do have access to my personal account, what happens if you go out of business? Oh and since your employees have access to my information, I'd like copies of their criminal history records and SS#, in the event they go rogue. Ridiculous policies for the amount of risk they are really taking. What if someone uses my membership other than me? Palm Beach might be out $3, really you want my finger prints for that? On Wednesday I same into Palm Beach after hearing an advertisement on Pandora for $19 Sunbed or Sunless tanning. I was geared up to be disappointed, but I was blown away. Not only was the deal exactly what it said it was, but the customer service was fantastic! I signed up for a package and was able to purchase lotion instead of paying the $20 sign-up fee (which cost me a little more than the fee, but I felt I was actually getting something for my money). Also, when the sales associate reviewed the lotion I had been using she explained why it wasn't the best, but didn't pressure me to buy something else. She didn't put me down for having inferior product, nor did she complain about my choices when it came to choosing a package. She was happy and ready to help me no matter how much I spent (or in my case, how little!) As a stay-at-home mom of four children, this is my little escape, and I don't need to feel judged in going here. I came back today to get another tan, and I was even more blown away by the excellent customer service. I explained why I didn't like the Mystic Tan and instead of making me feel stupid, she built me up. She told me about her own experiences and how I could avoid some of the things I didn't like and encouraged me to give it a try. But she didn't pressure me to try today, just when I was ready. I am over the moon about coming to this tanning facility and I am so happy to have bought into the monthly membership. Even when they've been super busy, I am greeted immediately with a smile. It's more than I could ever expect from a tanning facility and it speaks volumes to their business model. Thank you for making this mom super happy! read more
