This place is amazing. I found this place on Groupon for their red light sauna and it's been a wonderful experience coming here every time. The workers are so friendly and remember their customers and preferences and they're starting to expand their store and offer more services which I think is great! First of all, don't go to chain salons. Small businesses are where it's at! I called last week to book an appointment to get an airbrush before I went to Vegas. Stella was awesome! She even came in on her off day to accommodate my schedule. I went in today and I'm SO happy with the results and it's only been a few hours. I've never felt such a pick me up, the color is beautiful, dark and bronze! Stella is incredibly knowledgeable and knows what she's doing. I called last minute to schedule a spray tan before my trip to Mexico and she was able to fit me in the next day. My experience at Ambiance was great! She took her time applying the solution on me and made sure to touch on the trouble areas where spray tans typically streak at. The tanning solution smelled fruity- not an off putting smell like usual tans. She insisted that if my spray tan had any trouble spots, to come in before my trip and she would touch up on it... which was not needed at all! This was the best spray tan I have ever had. I got so many compliments on the evenness and the golden bronze color. I swam in the ocean, took many showers, hiked in high humidity, and shaved over the course of 5 days and the tan still held out evenly. I was very impressed. Its now been a week since my tan and I still have some even color on. Totally worth the $30.00 tan. Other places will charge you over $50 and will give you half the results that I got here. I should start by saying I am a pale, redheaded, freckled Norwegian... and this is a tanning salon. Possibly not always a great combination, right? This one is great, however! I started out in the High Pressure bed... 22 minutes under a "sun" and I didnt burn, not even a little pink (and this was my first tanning salon visit in YEARS). I was so excited! I was heading to Vegas in a couple weeks so I came back in and used this bed a total of 4 times in 18 days... and then used a smaller bed for just a few minutes to create a little glow the day before I left. A part of the plan I purchased was the Infrared Sauna. Used it once so far, and brought a friend. We walked in and were handed detox teas and taken right back to the sauna and shown how to use it. LOVED this. No steamy wet rocks and surfaces. Just warmth. There is a radio in the sauna and you can listen to that, or insert a CD if you think of bringing one with you. The coffees, teas, italian sodas, and GLUTENFREE baked goods are always amazing! The staff is more than friendly...they are totally polite, and always helpful and willing to give a little advice on which bed/lotion might work better for you, even if it is the least expensive one they carry. A few other "beauty" businesses lease space here as well. Debra Dees Lavish Lashes, a masseuse, and a woman who does facials and whatnot (I think). This is definitely my new go-to for just about anything I may need, and it is right in Orchards on 4th Plain, so just a few moments form my office. Perfect for a quick lunch time getaway! read more

I originally decided to go to this salon because of the great reviews and to support a local business but unfortunately, my experience was much different than I had expected. To start, the customer service is below standard. For example, I went there for three months and not once was I told to have a nice day or anything similar as I left the salon. Instead, the staff would either pretend I didn't exist as I walked literally right in front of them and out the door or they would just watch me as I left without saying a word. Also, there were two occasions where they never started the timer so I'd have to call from my tanning room and ask them to start the bed. One time, my bed wasn't cleaned/sanitized; I had to put my clothing back on and ask them to clean the bed. I never felt welcomed coming to this salon and instead felt like I was a nuisance. I had signed a contract with them for three months so I felt obligated to go there because I was paying for it but I couldn't wait until the three months were up. Also, their cancellation process is a serious hassle. I definitely won't be returning. read more

I went here for the first time today and I was pale white and I had some bruising on my face as well a lot of bruising Not only was the tech that gave me a beautiful spray on tan very skilled she was a very sensitive wonderful warm-hearted person. I appreciate that as much as the beautiful job they did. It was cheaper than other places I've called and I can't wait to go back, it's going to be a family thing my niece goes there and I'm going to have all my friends go there, it was just really a good vibe, such a friendly atmosphere, very relaxing and great tanning. Forget the cancer coffins & spray tan booths - this is the best airbrush spray tan! A little odd walking into what is a coffee shop in the front, but then hallways of tanning beds, until you get to the airbrush room. Renee has YEARS of experience. Besides making you feel less uncomfortable when you're standing spread eagle in your birthday suit (or whatever halfway-nude option you feel comfortable with), she knows all the tips & tricks for an even, natural-looking tan. No orange hands, no runs or streaks. She even uses a dry paintbrush to even everything out! In just a few hours, you'll look like you just got back from somewhere tropical! I have seen her before trips to Vegas, Maui, and my wedding. As with any artificial tan - make sure to moisturize like crazy afterwards to make it last (and I recommend one of those lotions with buildable tanner like Jergens). Remember that saltwater & chlorine strip away the top layers of your skin too! Keep this in mind when estimating the longevity of your tan! But go see Renee, you won't be disappointed. read more

I really think this is one of the best tanning salons I've ever been to. The owner is so sweet and she really is looking out for you to get the best tan that you should have for your skin type.
