The first tan is technically free (for first time customers)-- you just need to pay for the accessories. They can tell you more about this when you come in. I was recommend by a friend to visit one of the palm beach tan locations and at last I visit the Riverside location. It was my first time visiting so the employee was explaining to me how the process is and different prices and if I wanted to be a member. I just wanted to do the basic because I have never been to this tan place and wanted to make sure that I liked it before doing something darker and I may not like it. So I went inside and told them that I just wanted the basic spray tan but the employee kept talking about upgrading and bronzer, pretty much she is a sales driven person and wanted me to get more and therefore paying more for it. I did not want to risk it because knowing that I have a wedding the next day, I didn't want to look weird if I didn't like my tan. The location is nice, big and they have a lot of spray tan rooms as well as bed tan rooms. So I asked her about the difference between the different spray tans because I would never do the bed ones. She kept on insisting that it was better to do the darker and to add the bronzers which are al extra. I had my mind set and was not going to listen to what she was saying. Then she said that the basic one will only last for one day and that is why that i should be be adding more or upgrading and that got me annoyed because I came here to do the basic, I will do that so stop repeating things over and over and lying too. Although she said that it will only last one day for the basic spray tan, it has been 8 days since I got it and I still have my tan, its not as dark because it was just the basic but its there so there is no reason to lie so you can do more sales. This was my second time tanning for this company. But I only got the spray tans before. Alicia was informative and eased my fears about a tanning bed (Movie FINAL DESTINATION). The bed and room were clean and sanitized ( I ran my finger across top of bed looking for dust, found none) Tiffani got me set up in the room and explained the controls. When I was done, they explained the tan packages and a few of the products. I bought a Diamond package. Alicia even informed me to come in by the 25th if I needed to change or cancel membership, or else I would be charged the next month. I am excited to try this out! read more

It pains me to write a review, I have been coming to this location for 8 years before palm beach owned this salon. Monthly paying customer. So for the past year it is frustrating to constantly having the check in person push products, wait for them to clean beds because they are too busy up selling packages, talking about spray tans and selling products. I get it you need to sell, but they also should get trained how to politely ask can I check this person in! I stood for over 10 min today while she talked ON THE PHONE about spray tan to someone! Then waited for her to clean the bed! Why?? You can put someone nicely on hold and take care of the person paying in front of you! If they aren't selling they have no customer service skills! Retention should be just as important as new clients! I love the beds! I love the color! And it's clean. But it's like going to the car dealership with pushy sales. read more

I went in Saturday for the first time and I was impressed. Not only with their service but with their prices as well. I was a little hesitant about going in because I'm not a pro about tanning at all. I am going on vacation very soon and I need color, so I took a chance. I really enjoy this tanning salon. It's clean & the bulbs are great & they have a ton of rooms. I can't stand other salons that pressure you into purchasing their lotion or primer or after care lotions. It drives me insane & some salons are so high pressure I don't even want to tan there. This place is definitely not like that. They have lotions for sale but they never pressure me. They do gave great sales on their products all the time. They provide you with your eye protection, a towel & all rooms have a mirror, very helpful for applying my tattoo protection on my back before tanning. read more

This is my first time using tanning beds, and I must say I was excited the first two times that I tried the "big bead" with the diamond membership. It wasn't until the third time that I went in and I was told to "bump up" my time from 5 minutes to 10 minutes. I am completely red, itchy, and in pain. The girl that helped me said the previous girls didn't know what they were saying when they told me to only go in for 5 mins. Let me start by saying I don't usually leave a bad review. This will be the exception. Beware of this Riverside location. The spray tan machines are a disaster. The first tan came out so bad "The manager" Nicole offered to do another one for free and this one was even worse. When we asked for a refund on the remaining balance they refused and advised company policy is all sales are final. Unbelievable that all sales can be final on a tanning service when they knew how bad it turned out. They're only recourse was to offer us tanning dollars. Unreal. I cannot believe that this is the actual business practice of all palm beach tan locations. When I called and asked for a corporate number she informed me they do not have a corporate office however she provided me with the customer service line which has still made no attempt to contact me back. The beds are newer models and well maintained , very clean and and never hot, I've been to salons in the past and because of poor air conditioning you can't stay in the bed for your full time as its way too hot this is never the case here. This has been such a good experience for both of my daughters. The salon is very nice and clean. Also, every employee I spoke to over the phone or in person was very pleasent and helpful. For different reasons their spray tan didn't exactly come out right. After, talking to such am amazing staff they did everything they could to fix their tans. If you love having the Mystic machine only spray half of your body neon orange, then this is the place to go. Best part, staff couldn't "reset" the computer because it was "late", so I had to go home only half sprayed. Once home, I had to rinse off and apply regular old self tanner, which was just as orange anyway. Called the next day and simply requested my money back, and was told they couldn't accommodate but she would happily give me a Diamond membership to use any one of their like 8 beds any time I wished. Only catch? It expires in early May lol. Man, what a deal. Can't wait to use all 8 or 9 beds of different strengths over the next 2 weeks. I'll look like I sat directly on the sun. Exactly the look I'm going for. My advice? Make sure staff is trained to reset/fix issues that arise, and consider scheduling spray tans by appointment and taking the last customer at 8. That way, everyone is done by closing and you dont have a line out the door after hours. Simple fix. Oh, and side note: get better quality color mixers. My feet look like I waded through orange food dye. Never again. read more

The girls were really nice and helpful but I went In Bc they said you would get a free spray tan at least that's what the coupon said and I had to pay 26$ I got in the machine and it sprayed so much product on my face my skin was blotchy some parts didn't even get the color on it definitely like the people but I don't think I would get sprayed again read more

Irritated and disappointed does not even describe my experience. I called a few days prior to going in to find out about their Mystic tanning. The employee seemed super nice and friendly. She informed me that since I was new to their brand/store my mystic would actually be free. If I wanted to go to medium or darker level it would be $5-$11 more. I thought that was awesome and told them when I would be in. On the day of I told them I was running about 30 min late but would be there by 9pm. I arrived at 8:53pm. Upon arrival one person was walking out and I was the only other person there. The employee (different from the original one I spoke to) was very friendly as well. However it all went down hill as soon as I started giving her my information to be put in the system. That process took 10 min. Showing me around took 10 min then trying to give me my "free" mystic took 35 more minutes. The employee could not figure out how to get the computer to start the machine. She said because it was complementary she could not figure it out (she was newer) she tried calling people and no one answered to help her. I then even offered to pay for the mystic. I was going on vacation the next day and only had that night to tan. Well after nearly an hour of being there I walked out with out getting tanned. And with an I'm sorry. She did offer to help me the next day, but how would that work considering I was leaving for vacation. I guess that's what I get for waiting for the last minute and being excited for a complementary tan. Needless to say. Please train your employees better. And if they are newer, have someone they can reach out to to help your customers. (There was someone else that came in after me that had to walk out as well). read more

I've never had a worse experience. Since my favorite tanning booth was over-taken by this corporation I've only had a miserable time. I only wanted/needed tanning for a month. Due to an inexperienced representative who was distracted helping 3 other guests, the terms were not explained to me that I was locked in for 2 months. When I spoke with the manager the next day, I was offered a free month. And surprise! The inept manager never made note of it so now I'm paying for THREE months. She promised me another month free for her over-sight but why would I want to continue doing business with this sleazy, dishonest company. I tried calling customer service and surprise again! It's only an automated machine that one must leave a message. There's no one to resolve this problem. This is NOT a company that cares about its clients. Learn from my mistake. RUN! They've cost me hundreds of dollars & I just want OUT of this layer of hell. I was told to cancel by a certain date (there was even a note in the computer) only to find out the time has passed for me to cancel without paying for another month. I've gone to their website & there are no links to cancel. The manager is unresponsive. There is only an automated customer service system (& I still haven't gotten a call back). This is an AWFUL company & an AWFUL way to treat customers Notice communication is done via email. There is no personal communication. I left a message as was instructed & was called back on a blocked number while I was at work so there is no way to call them back. I came in here and the girl was already super friendly, i felt like i was talking to a friend. She showed me around and I signed up on a membership. I decided i wanted to spray for an upcoming event, and the girl really helped me out because it was my first time and i was a little scared. Well thou the location is good and the employees are helpful the policies are not on memberships. There should always be certain unavoidable circumstances that would make for leeway on a policy. My wife had kidney surgery and on the 16th of June and with all going on tanning was of course not on her mind. But I remembered and to call on the 27th of June prior to my wife's 2nd surgery to be done on the 30th of June. I called and asked that her acct be frozen, my wife did not want to cancel she figured it was a loss for June no big deal but to pay for July was not gonna happen. This company said you can freeze BUT we already did the billing so it won't freeze til august WTH??? Politely I asked can you just freeze July take that pymt and push it for august? NOPE they stated too late. My wife said just cancel and still we will be charged for no services in July when we cancelled in June ? They will take your money regardless so watch it. I even told the them i would bring or scan proving my wife's surgery's. Unfortunate and too bad they do this but I will call the BBB as well to file a complaint as well. read more
