And yes it was on their responsibility to know that. But in the end, there's always bumps when you're spending thousands of dollars on anything. I felt that they dealt with it very professionally, and without emotion and I totally respected their professionalism to correct and fix the disconnect. Yeah, me neither. Until I had the great fortune of calling Frank, The Grill Man to repair a couple of issues with my grill. He was all of the above, plus the price was exactly as quoted on the phone. I drove Leland up the wall w ideas and questions. He patiently walked me through and helped me make a great decision - Fire Magic. His prices are as competitive as you get. I researched. Plus instead of the $1200 FM cabinet, Leland said take this one for $500. You will never notice the difference. True! A year later am still loving it and the grill! We had a time estimate after FM had confirmed delivery. So I had hired a contractor to build the island. All of a sudden he wanted the unit in three days to make his final measurements! The builder was grumpy. I called the shop, it was close but another day or so. Well Leland had Erik drive for 4 hours return to get it so that my contractor would not walk! All got installed. The hood was a bit out of line. FM wanted us to pull all out and ship back? I knew it was minor so called the shop - Erik came over and adjusted it in 15 min. A year later it is perfect. Take my word, these people are as good and honest as it gets!

I have to give kudos as the old gas connector was melded to the pipe from the heat of previous use. Took ALOT of work to cut off. As the job included gas there is always that trepidation about leaks, etc. I felt 100% confident that Tristan knew gas log sets and their installation, and he took the time to explain things to me. Most importantly, I had confidence that the set-up would be safe.

They didn't even have the tool to remove the clamps on the glass. Lots of talk about what it could be. Eric wanted to order one part to see if that would solve the problem, and if not, then a control module would be ordered. After 45 minutes I knew it was time to cut my losses. Service fee for the 45 minutes was $199. I paid it and dismissed them before any additional fees they charge of $30 for each additional 15 minutes. I even had to tell one of the men to please not sit on the white sofa. Unbelievable. Worst experience I've ever had with service. Save yourself the headache.

The first appointment was a no-show. The second appointment showed up too late for the 45 min appointment but still wanted to charge the absorbent fee of $185 but refused to provide the estimate for repair stating that he is not a licensed contractor. I would not recommend this establishment or any other of its subsidiaries in the Coachella Valley and Orange County areas. I finally had the opportunity to recently meet the owner and less than impressed. He seemed more focused on his revenue than on the quality of services rendered. What a headache and waste of time!

Though I do think we probably would have had better care with Patrick, the owner, we didn't feel like they did their best to try to make amends with our situation. We felt taken advantage of. When their maskless installers came, the log was broken, the high altitude kit was missing (we are located in Idyllwild, which they knew), trim for the interior wall to line the vent didn't fit right, the flex pipe to connect the stove to mainline was not long enough, and the remote was missing. Additionally, the roofer mentioned that the helmet installers had cut way too big a hole and would need a custom flashing, which wouldn't even guarantee that the roof wouldn't leak in the next two years. Around Nov 15th, the temperature got low enough for us to finally use the stove. We noticed it was not firing up properly. Therefore we called the local authorized heating company nearby since we knew, based on past experience, that Hemet would be slow to respond given our prior experience with the . They let us know that the adjustments were not made properly. We had to pay $150 for this person to come out. We continued to use the stove and learned that the stove was not heating up the home sufficiently. Our cabin is 500 sq ft. Based on our conversation with their staff, they validated that the stove would adequately heat our space. After calls and emails, it took them a month to reply. They said because the stove had been worked on by another party, they were unable to accept the return and tried to upsell us on a blower instead. Ultimately, we had to replace the stove purchased from Hemet with a bigger stove which we bought from Idyllwild Heat. My suggestion is, if you live on the hill, go to Idyllwild Heat instead; they are very knowledge, reasonable and personable people. Stay away from this place.

Two service people diagnosed issues with our propane powered fireplace insert. They fixed the issues, reprogrammed remote, cleaned out carbon deposits, cleaned glass inside and out and as a finishing touch, they added material to simulate burning embers. It looks amazing! The two service people were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and very personable. It doesn't get better than that. Well done! I do hundreds of reviews and am extremely picky when it comes to Customer Service. I give this business ***** Stars and they earned every one of them. We highly recommend this business!

We had a horrible experience when they installed our washer and dryer yesterday…read more I called and they were very responsive and gave me a quote over the phone for a pick up, install, and hall away for a washer/dryer and dishwasher. I was very clear that there were stairs and my old appliances would have to be disconnected. When they arrived they said the office miss quoted me and did not include the hall away so I said that was fine. They did not use much to protect my floors except of one small plastic mat so yes my floors were scratched. I'm not super upset about that. They broke the valves for the washer. They said it was because they shut the water off for the building at first - but that is the only way to do it - my Hoa always shuts the water off. Then they said the valves must have always been broken but I just did a load of laundry that morning and I had not had any issues in 9 years. It was already 4 pm so I had to pay extra for after hours plumbing service. The plumbers noticed that the dryer vent was damaged when they did the repair. I called the vendor back to see if he can fix it and he refused to do so without an extra cost. He actually asked me to go buy the vent at Home Depot. I asked him why and he said that vent was damaged because there was not enough room but my plumbers showed me that it could have just been tucked in and that it looked like someone just pushed in the washer/dryer without any care. Then he said the plumbers damaged the vent when they pulled out the dryer but the plumbers showed it to me right away. I want to point out that I was in property management for 12 years so I know these plumbers well and they come highly recommended by most property managers. On top I realized that the installer told me that the dishwasher wouldn't fix so they didn't install it and still charged me for the install. All the appliances were from a family member who said it was very weird that he said the dishwasher didn't fix because it was just a standard size. So I was over charged and all the damage they caused cost me an additional $800.00 for the plumber and having someone else repair the dryer vent.
