And identified the right replacement and execution to replace the barbecue for us. We had a couple bumps in the road in terms of the barbecue fitting into the space that was available... And yes it was on their responsibility to know that. But in the end, there's always bumps when you're spending thousands of dollars on anything. I felt that they dealt with it very professionally, and without emotion and I totally respected their professionalism to correct and fix the disconnect. A home run. I was renovating my gas fireplace when I hit a couple of stumbling blocks. Deciding that gas line hookup was not the best candidate for taking a chance on my own handiwork, I sought out professional advice. I went to the store and they couldn't have been more helpful. I needed a new burner pan and they made a recommendation that was less than half the cost of one I was looking at online. I asked if they could install it and we set an appointment about ten days later. The day before appointment, they called to say that a conflict had come up and I thought here's another lousy unreliable company. I couldn't have been more wrong. While there was a conflict with the next day, he asked if he could come that afternoon. A day earlier than the appointment! He hooked up the burner and then installed the sand and fireballs that I had purchased someplace else. He didn't have to do that. He even used some of his own product to fill in the gaps. It was so much safer and looked so much better than I could have done on my own. And he wouldn't charge me for the extra labor or product. The schedule was set for a 4-hour time block (which is excessive); the technician failed to show or communicate. I got it rescheduled and technician failed to show or communicate a second time. Technical service is outsourced to 3rd party independent contractors which the scheduler, after expressing frustration and raising her voice, wanted to refer me to! On May 5, 2022, I purchased the Napoleon Luxuria Series 50" Direct Vent Fireplace from a retailer out of the local area. I hired a licensed contractor to install the new fireplace. The contractor needed help diagnosing why the flame would not stay lit. The out-of-area retail remotely diagnosed the problem as a venting installation issue. As a result, I contacted the local service provider on the Napoleon website for Napoleon fireplaces: All Valley BBQ, Spa & Fireplace (Backyard) in Palm Desert, CA. That contact and the resulting relationship has been a complete disaster from the start. The first service appointment was a "no show" resulting in several phone calls with All Valley Backyard. During discussions related to missed appointment and rescheduling of new appointment, I once again informed All Valley BBQ, Spa & Fireplace (Backyard) of previous diagnostic findings from Burbank Fireplace & BBQ. I requested an estimate to repair fireplace by a licensed contractor. On February 27, 2023, the technician arrived for the appointment at 3:40 PM not allowing enough time for the agreed-upon 45-minute appointment. I had a hard stop at 4:00 PM. Both agreed that appointment may need to be rescheduled but Mario agreed to stay and observe the fireplace problem and discuss the previous diagnostic findings by Burbank Fireplace & BBQ. Due to the very limited time, Mario did a visual front of fireplace inspection only and did not examine the venting within the chimney. Mario stated that he was not a licensed contractor and could not provide an estimate for repairs since he was not a licensed contractor. Mario stated that he would research licensed contractors in the area that specialize in venting-related repairs. To this date, that referral has not been provided. Since there was no estimate for repairs or referrals provided, the exorbitant service fee of $185 has not been paid and remains in dispute to this current time. read more

While it is fun to rave about a great experience, sometimes you have to let people know what they might be facing if they choose to purchase from or work with a particular vendor, service person, or retailer. This is unfortunately, one of those reviews. We worked exclusively with Chris from the original discussion about our requirements through the fulfillment (or lack thereof). While he may be part of a multi-store business, I hold him exclusively responsible for the experience we had. It's a long saga that doesn't fit here but . Bottom line, Chris' inability to communicate accurately on delivery dates - something fundamental to construction timelines, delayed the installation of our fireplace two weeks on the front end, and his failure to order the correct materials based on his own installation suggestion cost us another week to project completion and $177.50 in "restocking" fees at the wholesaler... which he claimed to be surprised by. Given that Desert Fireplaces and BBQ's has been in business out in Palm Desert for years, and this is the wholesaler he works with, I find that difficult to believe. Given his dodging of my calls, his unwillingness to credit us for the remote we never wanted or received, and his claims that he had vans in the shop making it impossible to deliver the fireplace on time- when it appears he works with a delivery service - all add up to an integrity problem along with his inability to communicate accurately and completely. All in all, I would highly recommend that you work with someone else. I would never ever purchase anything from him. read more

We recently ordered an outdoor gas barbecue, double burner, an outdoor refrigerator, a stainless steel door plus two door drawer combos. They are all made by Blaze. We are very pleased with the quality. The only issues were some concealed damage to the refrigerator and a door. The store manager, Chris, was very helpful and quickly replaced the door and ordered the damaged trim for the refrigerator. Chris was very patient and helpful - we asked a ton of questions and visted the store three times before we finally ordered everything. The delivery time was just over a week as promised. During this stay at home time due to Covid19 many families are actually having time to do more with their families, one of our pastimes is to have a nice BBQ. We have had a Weber Genesis II in the box for months because none of us knew how to put it together, (to many componets and small pieces) very delicate. So I called a few locate places to see if someone could come over and assemble our grill. We had a offer for someone to come a pick up the grill and transport it to their location to put it together and then they would return it, they wanted 100.00 to this, this system is super delicate and broken pieces can take months to replace. We called Chris at Desert Fireplaces and he offered to come to our location and install the Grill here, he was also aware of the complex details to construct this Weber Grill. Chris arrived as promised and his attention to detail was amazing to watch, it was like performing a masterpiece, he came with all his needed tools and he looked at and placed all the pieces so that he could see everything without overlooking the smallest detail. Chris was patient and took his time to install the grill strongly and sturdy, (nothing like a grill that is wobbly and unstable) Chris maneuvered like a skilled master technician with precise precision. We were so happy when the grill was completed, Chris then explained some safety features about safe grilling, and then explained how to use our grill for maximum results.
