We bought a home where the owner had converted the garage into a living room. Leaving our car baking in the Sun all day was not an option. We spoke with a few companies that could install a carport and ultimately went with Atlas. The had better pricing and we're great at detailing the product they use, the timeline for installation and other project details. I wish that getting permits with the city was a quicker process, but that's not something Atlas can control. They did do a great job keeping us posted on their interactions with the city and when we could expect permit approvals. Once we were ready for installation everything went super smoothly. The carport looks like it goes with the house. The crew was awesome and super friendly. They got all of the work done in the time they said they would and cleaned up after they were done. We recently used Atlas Awning to build a new (Alumawood) outdoor patio area and have nothing but good things to say about the experience - from the receptionist who set the appointment, to Mark (the owner) and Ivan who came out for the initial meeting, to the amazing crew who handled the installation. After receiving a quote from a company we had used for a previous project (and been very happy with), we decided to do our due diligence and get another quote; we called Atlas because of their proximity to us and the stellar reviews we read online. Long story short, we were not disappointed! Atlas's quote was slightly higher but we were MORE impressed with Atlas right from the get go. The other company, while nice, simply took what we said [and the size we thought we needed] and gave us a quote. Mark listened to what we wanted and why we wanted it, and then made informed suggestions about details we hadn't even considered. He never pushed us into anything but, rather, worked with us to ensure that what his team was building would be what we wanted long after they had left. It took a couple months to get on Atlas's calendar, which we knew going in, but once construction started it was smooth sailing all the way, from coordinating the cement slab and cutting tree roots, to installing the lighting and ceiling fan. Javi and the rest of the crew were absolutely wonderful: They were punctual, pleasant and respectful of our property, and when they were finished, they left our backyard in better shape than any contractor we have ever used. Were there any hiccups or questions along the way? Of course, one or two little things - what project doesn't have something, right?! - but they were addressed and resolved promptly and with minimal effort and stress on our part. Last but not least, communication with Atlas (Mark, as well as Ivan), from beginning to end and the waiting time in between, was great. I was so happy with this experience that I contacted Mark and Ivan to help design an extremely complex Alumawood addition to my current home in South Palm Desert. Well Worth the Wait! We placed our order with Atlas in April 2021. Due to supply chain issues they were unable to obtain materials and install it until October 2021. Had a wonderful experience with Mark Stevens at Atlas Awning, his assistant Ivan and their crew. We placed our order in May 27, 2021 and told that due to back log of product production due to the pandemic that it would be August for installation, which we were ok with. Mark said he wouldn't charge deposit until he knew our job was was in production. Beginning of August Mark called to inform us that the manufacturer had still not confirmed the start of our project. Mark gave us the option to cancel the project if we so decided and if it came in he would just return. We decided to postpone until 2022. Two days latter the manufacturer notified Mark the job had been shipped and would arrive the next day, (we decided to go forward) and it could install the next day.
