I've been coming to Palm Health for the past few months, and all I can say is that it is such a fantastic experience! This facility is truly a place designed to optimise your well-being! Palm Health has everything you could imagine! Delicious healthy meals, an excellent staff that is not only knowledgeable but highly personal and kind! I love that after only a few visits, most of the team remembers your name! The facility also has a sauna, steam room, and massage services. Acupuncture, chiropractic services, an MD staff that practices functional medicine, and Pilates classes. Japanese art Sumi-e classes, a salt room, a gym, cryotherapy and more! If you want to call Palm Health a doctor's office, it would be a gross understatement! Palm Health is a place I wish I could pack up and take back to Los Angeles! The facility is gorgeous, and its approach to patient care and well-being is simply top-notch!

The PALM Integrated healthcare was a treat for me (after a car accident). They have various membership levels including (drum roll please) a 1-day membership! So, I spent the day and paid $75 for the one day mermbership which gives one treatment and I chose the "meditation treatment in the salt room". TIP: The PALM Integrative Health does accept (some) insurance and host classes regarding various aspects of healthcare. Nurses are on staff. Certified therapists also. Exercise and Nutritional classes as well. Reminds me of the TV show private practice. This POWERFUL salt room meditation is instructor Lead. She guides you into a 45-minute meditation practice while breathing in the purifying salt with touch and taste engagements. I enjoyed myself immensely. I started my day of membership off, by ordering lunch (not included in the membership). I enjoyed the advocado with egg on toast! It took me a while to learn how to eat it (hands or fork & knife?). I tried both. It was messy so, I went with fork & knife. The brunch crowd was starting to get thick and I didn't want anyone speaking negatively of my eating habits. SMILE After lunch, I visited the steam room and infrared sauna. It was very comfortable and much needed. See the pictures. There is a hyperbaric chamber, cryotherapy, meditation room and much more. Definitely visit! Take a family member or someone you know with ailments. HECK, just go to relax. Don't forget to visit the restroom...it has the Asian toilet with seat warmer, bidet, etc. Ahhhhhh

I came to Palm Health with some friends for a spa day the weekend before I had a baby. True spa experiences are hard to come by in St. Louis and we wanted to try something other than the Four Seasons. The staff at Palm were all very friendly and accommodating from the booking through the check in process. They definitely made it feel like they were there for us and we weren't just merely another client on the books for the day. The lounge area had comfortable seating and plenty of room to relax with my friends in between treatments. I started with a customized facial with Tommy that was absolutely wonderful! He was very skilled and I left with my skin looking great. After that I tried a relaxing meditation class which was a great way to get centered my last two days of pregnancy. We relaxed back in the lounge area while we had some lunch and then I had Tommy again for a maternity massage. In the past I haven't felt too highly about these since a lot of therapists seem uncomfortable with them and I don't feel like much was accomplished. This was definitely not the case here! Tommy is really educated in maternity massage and helped my hip pain tremendously. I can't thank him enough. Finally, we ended with a salt room experience which is great for your sinuses in this weather. The only things missing (temporarily) that would make this a five star experience were firstly: robes/locker rooms. As a nurse I very much understand COVID pivots but I feel robes are easily laundered and other spas I've been to are still utilizing them. We still had a great experience but I definitely would have dressed more comfortably for the day and not worn snow boots. The other big thing is they have a restaurant on site that sounds wonderful but no weekend service. When you're there all day you definitely need a food option and there is nowhere in walking distance to grab something without ordering delivery. Hope that changes soon because we're already planning on coming back!

After those services, I had lunch in their cafe, followed by the salt room, cryotherapy, sound focus and biomat.

Gave them information on where I did sleep study and then waited to hear back from them. Finally called them back and was told that that company did nor deal with Medicare. They told me that they reached out to a company that excepted Medicare and that they placed the order and I should hear back from them shortly. Waited a few days , called the office back and told them that I hadn't heard back from anyone. The gave me the number and told me I could try contacting them myself. I called the C-Pap parts place and was told that the doctors office didn't give them the information they needed to fill the order. So I called the doctors office back and was told that they had sent ALL the paper work back to the parts place. Called the parts place back and was told they needed a signed order as to why this was medically necessary. Called doctors office back and was told I needed to contact my ENT doctor back or the place where I had the sleep study done. Told the lady that I didn't have a ENT doctor and that I had given them the name of the place where I had the sleep test done to begin with. They contacted them and found out that the sleep study place did not deal with Medicare. That's when the doctors officetold me the had contacted this outside company who sold parts ans delt with Medicare. Now Dr Gage'soffice is telling me that Dr Gage refused to sign off on me being able to get the parts I need for my C Pap machine. I have never delt with a more incompetent Doctor or doctors office staff. Stay clear of this man.

Their referral department policy is to wait until the day before the appointment to send it and normally it doesn't get there in time, Waste of your time and the specialist you waited a month to see. Getting the referral sent requires a lot of time calling and holding on phone for 20 minutes at a time- babysitting staff to do their job, for two days prior to your appointment. Disgusting how this process is handled at this office. Dr Gage is ok as a doctor but your only as good as your team .....

With no evidence that it was a bacterial infection, he prescribed antibiotics. He did not consider any other possibilities and did not schedule a follow-up appointment in case he was wrong. When I continued to get worse, I contacted a pulmonologist who would not make an appointment with me until I had a referral from Dr. Butler. Dr. Butler refused to make a referral until I had an appointment. I told him the pulmonologist wouldn't allow that, and he was being arrogant to insist on doing something his way that wouldn't work. He then fired me as a patient. Since I could not get an appointment with another primary care physician for months, that meant I had had no available medical care at a time when it was obvious that I needed medical care. In desperation, I asked my cardiologist to act as my primary care physician. He ordered a CT scan which showed that I had a large pulmonary embolism and a major lung infarction. If the cardiologist had not diagnosed the problem and prescribed anticoagulants, I likely would have died. Any doctor who knows little about medicine, knows nothing about how to approach medical problems, and doesn't care about his patients has no right to be a doctor.

It is good to know that everything is still good and that you don't have anything sneaking up on you. After a year of active Yelping and wanting to do it more energetically in 2013, I wanted to make sure my antique of a body could handle it. They also recommend checking with your doctor before starting a new vigorous exercise program. I had to start an exercise program to help me drop the extra 30 pounds that have been added to my frame in the last four years of Yelping. I just hoped he'd not find anything else wrong with this half century plus man. As usual, my check in was easy even with my company changing insurance companies. The taking the new information was smooth and effortless. The front office personnel was well prepared for those changes at the first of the year. It seemed as if everyone who was checking in at the same time, also had changes in their insurance and it was all completed in a timely manner. I barely had to check in on Yelp and one of the friendly efficient nurses was calling my name to come back to one of the examine rooms. Before sticking me in a room, she had me do the thing I was dreading most and that was weighing. The number was higher then I wanted, but not as high if I hadn't gone back to Weight Watcher earlier this year. She then put me in a room and I had no waiting at all. Another nurse joined her and they completed all my test, asked me various questions for clarification and left the room. It was only minutes before my doctor, John Ellena entered and completed my physical. John has a great bedside manner, is good listener and takes great concern in my health. I then was walking back out to my car in less then 40 minutes and a clean bill of health. He did tell me to watch the weight, eat in moderation when Yelping and to keep going to the gym.

I went with him and have no bad comments about his care at all. However, he retired this week. I am 62 with a history of respiratory illnesses and other health challenges and called yesterday to have a visit. The first person I spoke to gave me the name of the NP that worked with the dr I am switching to when I was told I could not be seen by that dr for two weeks for my "well visit". I was told by Zane that the NP had four slots. I checked my insurance and called back and got a different person. I was then told that the NP was not taking new patients. I was not asking to be a new patient, but rather to see the doctor's NP. What is happening was significant enough to warrant a nurse triage call back. I retold everything a third time and the conversation was left with the choice of a virtual visit without any real data from an examination or you'll need to go somewhere else. She seemed distracted from the home during the phone call. I ended up at Mercy Go Urgent Care and had a wonderful NP who diagnosed me within 10 minutes with bronchitis and explained the hours long shallow and virulent coughing. After looking at my BJC chart she said that I should have been red flagged based on my respiratory history. She also supported my turn down of the virtual visit for the same reason I thought. She needed to hear my breathing. I cannot stay with a practice that cares more about protocols than their patients. It's too dangerous.
