    $1 popcorn

Cute little old theater in downtown SLO - great deals! Buy a ticket at the front window - I unknowingly walked all the way into theatre and back out a couple times before figuring out where to buy a ticket. :-P Monday showings are all $5, even for movies that are currently in theaters. Strolled easily into a 4:30 pm showing of Birdman after spending weeks trying to catch it up at the Bay Area (dang limited release). It's fantastic, if you're looking for something to go see! $1 small popcorns?! With REAL butter?! Icing on the cake for this place - go check it out next time you need an affordable date night or something to break up the work week.

So happy this tiny independent theatre exists in San Luis Obispo. We used to live in the suburbs and we didn't have access to independent films. The big theatre chains only screen the large blockbuster films so it's great to be able to see some smaller budget films. It's an old theatre and there are no reclining chairs like the big chains but the theatre has great ambiance. There's only three screens. One of the best perks is the snack bar. You can get one dollar personal popcorn and drinks. Where else is a movie snack bar so reasonable? And they accept MoviePass if you are a subscriber.

SLO is so lucky to have a historic old school movie theater like this! I've been visiting it since I was a kid and been fortunate enough to have grown up with some of the BEST, NOT mainstream, independent, biographical, foreign and domestic, award winning films of this century and last! Tickets are a steal here to compared to the regular theater and to this day they still offer $1 bags of popcorn! The inside is bursting with that old Hollywood cinematic vibe and a fabulous "walk down memory lane " with all the stars of yesterday and today lining the hall! Make no mistake, this theater gets !

Ask the Community - Palm Theatre

    Do they have air conditioning?

The whole theater is solar powered so I imagine that it is not, though I've been in dozens of times and never found it to be hot...so maybe they do. I know this is a non-answer, but it's the only one I have :)

Then waited until 8:30 for the movie to start. It started right on time. Some people drove in at 8:25 to find spots which was annoying because they didn't turn their lights off and they took extremely long to park. But besides the smell of car exhaust here and there, it was fantastic. The radio worked exceptionally well at making the experience feel like we were at a movie theater. Bathrooms were super clean with adequate soap. Snack bar attendants were very friendly 100% recommend and would come back again

I brought my 4-year-old son to see Toy Story 5. While carrying him from the concession stand, he accidentally dropped his hot dog bun onto the ground before we could even make it back to our car. When I went back inside to request a replacement bun, an employee nepotistic "grandchild" named Brian informed me that I would be charged for it again. When I questioned being charged for just a bun under the circumstances, Brian became visibly hostile. He complained that he "did not like that I expected it for free." He then stated he would issue a refund instead, explicitly saying he was doing so because he "didn't like that I expected something." This logic made absolutely no sense. I pointed out how counterproductive it was to issue a full refund just so I could immediately repurchase the item, especially while my son was crying in the car waiting for his food. Brian forced the refund through anyway and made me repurchase the item. To make matters worse, when I asked for the name of his grandfather "manager"so I could report the incident, Brian flatly refused to give it to me. This is why, sometimes family isn't the best way forward when filling critical roles within companies, especially the customer facing ones.

Love how this space is dog friendly with beautiful hilly views, friendly staff, and $20 tastings…read more We arrived here mid Friday afternoon and chose our own seats at a nice patio area with shading. No reservations, walk-in. We chose the tasting for two and got started enjoying our wine with beautiful views of the rolling hills. The host was very attentive and gave us our next tasting with perfect timing spaced between. We enjoyed the variety of wines we tasted and the friendly staff. There's one restroom on site located near the main entrance. They also had a nice water fountain to keep you hydrated during the tasting. Lastly, we love how this was dog friendly! We brought our little fur baby for the tasting outdoor. Would recommend this spot next time to dog owners!

The winery itself kind of looks like a house and has a bunch of tables out front. There was no music when we went but the vibe was amazing. It's a bit windy and the sun hits hard here so be prepared with sun screen. The wine was very good, some were sweet and others were a bit more oaky. The grapes they used in some of the wines were from the vines right next to us. Oscar and Clint were very helpful and provided a lot of insight on the area. We went to a couple of their recommendations in town and they did not miss. This vineyard is a solid place if you want to sip on some good wine with a view. Bottom line/TLDR: friendly vineyard with amazing views.
