Back when I lived in the neighborhood, Palmas was my go-to tire place. Ten years ago, I moved to the suburbs; since then, I've gone to a chain store. Recently I picked up a beater car that came with an extra pair of tires, and I needed to get those mounted. The chain store wouldn't do it, because the tires were over 10 years old. No criticism there - corporate liability, corporate policy. But the tires had been stored inside and were in perfect condition. So I took the drive back to Palmas. I've been going to Palma's tires for over 10 years. The owner, Norberto is amazing, always has a great crew that's fast and friendly. Prices are great. This an old-school tire shop mostly used tires with good tread. Of course he can get you some new tires same day. Highly recommended. I don't know where else I would ever go. They have changed my tires in a foot of snow or pouring rain. When I first found the store, I had a car with low profiles I swear I saw them once a month ha ha never been disappointed. GO HERE!! I am so impressed with how fast they serviced my tire. It only took 5 MINUTES I am not even exaggerating! Before I went here, I had gone from one tire place to the next where they continued to tell me to get a brand new tire and maybe all 4. I finally went to Palma's where they were very friendly and professional and took a look at the problem. They informed me that I did not need a new tire because they were great quality tires and only needed to be patched. This is the best small tire store in the state. Norberto the owner is amazing. He gives great customer service and he make sure that he hires the right group of people that care about their customers as well. He always has great used tires with good amount of tread for amazing prices. He also has new tires and new rims there at the shop. They are always crazy busy so it is better to stop by then to make a phone call. But after the first time you go you'll never buy your tires any other place. Understand this is not a Big Box store with Netflix on iPads with free sodas. It's a small business, it's a dirty little's tire shop but it is the best one I've ever found by far. I was literally blown away at how awesome Palma's was!! I had a screw in one of my tires and the larger chain tire places wanted 3+ hours to fix it! I didn't have the time to spare and I then found Palma's. The people there were super friendly, super focused and without an appointment they had my tire fixed in less than 15 minutes!!! Bought some used tires about 2 and a half years ago for a decent price. Got back home and realized that one tire had a screw in the tread diagonally. Ended up not being an issue but they should have inspected the tires better. Now two and a half years later I have three out of the 4 tires with cracked valve stems and one of them is leaking. I'm assuming they didn't change out the valve stems. Just a heads up, if you're buying used tires, make sure to request that they put in new valve stems. read more

I had a tire on my Toyota Highlander with a cut in the tread. My mechanic tried to patch it but it only lasted a couple weeks. Since it's an AWD vehicle, I either had to find a used tire with similar tread depth or buy a completely new set. The tires still had 8/32" tread depth, so I was really hoping to find a used tire. I called several used tire stores around town and, fortunately, Palma's not only had a perfect match for the tire make, model, size and speed rating, but it was also the perfect tread depth. Jose helped me with the whole process and he was very patient and helpful. He sold me the tire and mounted it for a grand total of $75 which saved me at least $700. I have always had good luck with Palmas. However, today's experience was so terrible that I will be taking my business elsewhere. Three days ago, I discovered that my rear passenger tire was flat. I took it to Palmas and within minutes was back on the road with a new tire. Last night, I was again derailed by another flat tire on the same wheel. I took the tire back this morning and was criticized for being an irresponsible driver and for lacking the discernment of recognizing low tires. The owner of the shop told me that he does not sell faulty tires and that he was appalled by how carelessly I treat my vehicle. The tire that I was sold was not juts flat, it was defectively shredded when they removed it from my car!!! I am a very prudent driver that checks tire pressure and fluid levels in my car bi weekly. So this kind of treatment and accusations were both hard to digest and extremely offensive. I am a realtor, and if I were to treat my customers in this manner, I would be forced to find a new profession. The lack of customer service was one of the most appalling displays I have witnessed in a very long time. There are many other similar businesses that stand behind their guarantees and support customer service. I will be taking my business to someone who values and stands behind the customer experience. read more

Not a fancy place but they repaired my tire when the other big guys only wanted to sell me 2 or set of 4 tires (AWD vehicle). Repaired tire still had 6 /32 life on it.
