First time here. I bought my car in Greenfield, but Kenosha is closer to my home and work. Since this was my first oil change (& tire rotation) since I bought the car, it was free. I thought that was fantastic. The Service department personnel were very friendly and accommodating. The complementary snacks and coffee were also a plus. I noticed there were a lot of negative reviews. All I saw was positive when I was here! I didn't come in for any major repairs, so I cannot speak for everyone else. Poor customer service and the diagnostic testing took days to finish. They did not rotate tires as I requested and they charged me for it. Ultimately did refund me but I should not have had to ask. I know they did not do the work due to cupping on my front tires only... where it remained after the TR. also they broke a part and covered it up instead of replacing it. It was a harness that only a mechanic can get to. Another dealership took care of it after some back and forth. Sad that the garage has such a bad reputation. Not sure why you can't trust them but hopefully they figure it out. Beware if you have to get work done there. They never fixed my original problem, but another reputable dealership did. Horrible customer service and erroneous billing/diagnostic charges. We had a Buick Encore brought in by our daughter. She said her check engine light was on and needed to have that checked. Turns out she needed a turbo bypass valve and Randy quoted a large cost plus the $199.00 diagnostic charge. She did a little research and found this should be covered under her power train warranty and asked Randy. He claimed he was only a tech so he asked the repair person and they confirmed yes, would be covered. She said go ahead and fix then. A half an hour later she received another call from Randy saying he made a mistake, it's not covered. She told Randy not to do the work and when to pick up her car. She was charged $400 for "diagnostic testing". I called to speak to Randy about the charges, one of which was for a mirror that she asked him to replace a light in! She did not need the diagnostic testing for the light, she knew the issu. Randy was belligerent and was basically trying to call us liars. She walked away paying $400 with no work done. We have since taken the car to another dealer that said the estimate was wrong and we paid almost half of what Palmen tried charging. I also sent to BBB of WI but they will not even respond to our complain. read more

Took it for a test drive, went in and after he made 2 trips to his sales manager, we walked out with our new Jeep and didn't pay a penny more than what we set out to. He never once swayed us from what we wanted and listened to what our needs/wants were. Professional attitude with a personal touch all the way. I have only used the service department for my Jeep, so this review is based on service and not sales. A little background first, my Jeep is brand new and I had a terrible time purchasing it in another town. It was probably the worst experience I've ever had (FYI another state). Recently while in Kenosha, I had a few problems. I found the only Jeep place I could and ended up here. I was SO happy I did! The guys in the service department were so nice. They went out of the way to help me with new appointment. The fixed what they could and charged me only the necessary charges (I actually expected a lot more). I want a few add-ons for my Jeep, and they again helped me and got me exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend the Jeep area of the dealership. We went to Palmen after seeing an ad online for a used car. We scheduled a test drive at 7PM via email, and they were very prompt in quickly getting back to us. When we arrived, Scott, our salesman was there to meet us. He let us check out the car in the showroom and even let us test drive ourselves. The pressure of test driving a car with the salesman in the back seat is annoying so I was refreshed that he let us venture out alone. Once we decided we wanted the car, we were treated very fairly in the negotiations, paying only $50 more than our original offer after it was all said and done. The only downside was that we had to wait almost 2 hours between buying the car and sitting down with the finance guy. Scott talked to us the entire time and kept us entertained. After we went to leave he was very instant that if we had any problems to call him right away. Usually you feel like you're getting screwed at a car dealership, not so with Palmen GMC. From the time we walked in to the time we left, I felt like we were treated fairly and with respect. read more

My car has been in the dealership 3 times in the last month. They can't do a job properly. Argue with you about everything. Sell an extended warranty then you have to fight anytime you need to use it. $1500 timing chain job. Chain is still slapping when it's stated up. 2 days later it dies, bring it back say they can't find anything wrong with it. Turns out the battery was bad. You would think they would have checked that given it was just in there for 3 weeks for a timing chain repair. Then they take $550 off my card saying there was a scratch on the rental with out even talking to me about it first. Then they fill my car up with gas. Weird right now I have a evac leak. I wouldn't buy a $5 bill for $1 from them. Literally the worst service I have every received in my life. read more

Terrible Service Beware of being up-sold ! by Patricia Ramirez from Waukegan, IL January 17, 2020 Terrible Service !!!...I took my vehicle in to repair a turbo sensor, and they up sold me and told me I needed to replace my sway bar links and an evaporator solenoid sensor and an air intake sensor. But when i got the vehicle back i noticed is was not performing accurately and was making a noise I had not heard before or had before . When i took it back to the dealership they send the technician to test drive the vehicle with me riding in the passenger seat and he acted as though nothing was wrong . I decided to contact Onstar as i was on this test drive and they ran a diagnostic on the vehicle and came back with an air intake problem. The technician had the audacity to tell me that Onstar was wrong because there was no engine light on. So i then ask him about the noise and he says it sounds like a wheel hub issue. So we go back to the service writer and I ask him why he told me my car was ready and why he didn't inform me about any other issues with my vehicle when he was trying to up-sell me other things that were less important. His explanation was that these issue must have occurred after I picked up my vehicle. So he was going to charge me for another diagnostic test $138 plus $250 for my deductible again from my Maintenance Repair coverage and of course the air intake sensor which by the way was the issue originally when i took it in . I would never ever recommend anyone take their vehicles here based on what I went through. read more

We've had nothing but great service here! Had a problem with a "late model" Chevy. They informed me that there was a recall and would be able to fix the issue with a discount of 50%. About a year later I received a letter from GM that it had been determined the repair would now be covered at 100% and I was entitled to a refund of the 50% that I had paid. The service guys were helpful in providing the required documentation and submitting the paperwork for the refund. Been back several times since. Even started bringing my non-GM vehicle for service! Keep up the great work. It's so refreshing to go to a dealership and have friendly service people who actually take care of you and follow through on what they say. read more

Tim Hoffman is exceptional. My transmission went out near Racine, WI on a Sunday. I am from the Twin Cities in Minnesota. 6 hours away. Tim got my Yukon in right away and dealt with the warranty company. Due to work and leaving to go back to Minnesota on a Thursday, Tim worked with the warranty company and had a new transmission and it was installed by end of business day on Thursday. This is one of the best services I have had with a vehicle. Highly recommend this dealership for service issues and any other concerns that may come up. read more

The service department did not repair several warrantied repairs and said that they did when I picked the car up. They also lied about completing an oil change, as that was never done. If you want to spend $850 to have nothing fixed on your car, Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac is the place for you. I brought my car in on 6/18 because I was experiencing extreme hesitation when trying to accelerate. Palmen quoted me $850 for repairs and assured me I needed to do all of the things they listed to improve my drivability. Reluctantly, I agreed and picked up my car on 6/20. On 6/27 my car started experiencing the same issues and I waited until 6/28 to call and inform them in case it was an isolated incident. They wouldn't make the appointment until 7/2, and by this time my intermittent problem was not occurring (a concern I brought up when they refused to make a same or next day appointment when it was occurring). Palmen performed a thorough inspection and stated that everything was running properly on my car, and Jeff Nagy (the service advisor I was working with) left me a voicemail which stated that the problem was the "severe heat...when you have a 4 cylinder car with the air on, it just seems much much slower at times when it gets around 100 degrees." So.....I've spent $850 on repairs that you said would fix the problem, but now you're telling me there's nothing you can do because the problem is caused by the weather?? I asked to speak with the service manager, Dan First, about this. Dan and Jeff barely let me get a word in during the conversation. They were rude and condescending talking to me and would not let me explain ANYTHING. (Also, this conversation happened in the middle of the garage. I was not invited into an office or anywhere private.) I informed them that I was not satisfied with the car service or the customer service and I will not be returning because of it. Jeff got my car for me and said to let him know if the problem happens again, to which I replied I will not be returning to this dealership. Jeff then laughed at me and made a very rude comment and went back to his desk. I'm shocked that this dealership treats customers this way. I will never recommend Palmen to anyone. read more

Buy beware! Please never swallow your pride because you really liked an item. I try to disregard the disrespect that I received from their salesman Gene, and I try to blew it off and overlook his flaws. Then when I gave them a review on Facebook I was hoping they would call me to discuss my concern. I made several attempts to contact them and Ralph, the manager even decided to block me on their Facebook and delete my negative experience. I called and spoke to Ralph personally and discussed with him about my concern. The guy tells me that his Facebook response was a sufficient response to my concern. From the disrespect from the saleman to the manager then to the $23000 car that is already defected and I only owned the car for 6 days! The story can go on and on but it will be a chapter if I wrote it here. Food for thought, "If anyone disrespect you, leave immediately never ever reason with a person and try to even give them the benefit of doubt!" IF YOU DO it can back fire on you like this situation. Ralph said to me that his salesman disrespected me but must not be BAD ENOUGH that is why I still proceed to buy the truck. I guess going forward never give people a 2nd chance and be kind to them. Hello ,As of now we are not pleased with the service from you.we were told we were going to receive VIP pricing of $15,000 off the vehicle with only the need to finance to the dealership. After looking at a few different cars we decided to buy the black one which was not cleaned up yet and head on the window 0% financing or fifteen thousand dollars off written on it.after sitting down and filling out the paperwork we were then informed that we did not qualify for $2000 of the rebate because we did not have a trade in, this seems like a bit of a shell game to me. Then we proceeded to wait 2 hours to get into the finance office and at which time he proceeded to have the paperwork ready which was a higher percentage interest rate, not until we ask is that the best rate you could do that he check and of course with our great credit we received a lower interest rate.they clean the car up while we were doing the paperwork and we were both tired at that point and I did not give the car a thorough look over. When we got home I noticed a chip in the door and also a few other paint blemishes on the hood and trunk.after a few email correspondences with Scott we came up with he would ship me touch up paint. so again with the purchase of a $50,000 car I expected a little bit more from you than what I received. please feel free to call me at 773 317 1490 I have also asked several times what was the name of the program that we did not qualify for under the financing I would like to read the terms on it which state something about a trade in. read more

I bought my 1st car from Palmen in May 2017 and it was not the experience I hoped for. My sales person Scott did not have the great Palmen attitude I have been accustomed to. I go to the service department all the time. I've bought several cars in my 31 years of driving and even brought my 15 year old daughter along for the experience. Even she was surprised at the poor attitude. When you're dealing with people and your job is to negotiate, you should not take things personal. It started off well, but as soon as I started negotiating he started to get a very bad attitude. He even lied to me about floor liners. I wanted my tonneau cover off my old truck to be removed and installed on my new truck. Scott said "no" this is part of the deal. I then said well I want floor liners in trade. He lost all professional bearing and said he was done and started to walk away. I told him ok and goodbye. Then he said wait and asked me if I was willing to lose the deal because of floor liners. I then asked him the same question in return. He said he couldn't get me the floor liners. He said I could get them at cost which he said was $220. That's where the lie came. The liners are only about $220. So then he went to ask and they decided to give them to me. I was very close to going home but decided to go ahead and get the truck. But I will never buy a truck from them again. I'm also thinking of going to another GMC dealership for my services. I've always had good experiences buying cars. Maybe Scott just had a bad day. But I never got a call or an email to see how I was doing or anything. I don't wish bad on anyone. I just like to be treated the way I treat people. Which I believe I do a pretty good job. I served 21 years in the Army. If there is one thing the military showed me it was to respect your fellow man. read more

Why is it every time I bring my car into this place I feel like the service reps are always joking around and don't take what I'm saying serious. When I bring my car in for what ever maybe wrong with it at the time. They (Anyone of the reps) joke about the problem like its gonna make me feel better and help relieve my stress that my car is in the shop. It actually makes my stress worse. Plus it's not really professional and I wish they would stop. My car is my life line and without it I can't do my job. I just want them to take me serious and have it fixed. Also when I call to make an appointment they're always in a rush to get me off the phone. I understand they're busy. But every time I call or show up I have to wait. Make whoever is after me wait also like I had to. I use to like this place now I'm really thinking about going somewhere else. Even if I have to drive a little further. Get your act together please. I understand it can get pretty frustrating working with the public but that's your job. I understand it's not easy but you have to keep your bearings and watch what you say sometimes. Not all customers like to joke around. It makes some of us feel as if your not taking your job serious and therefore not taking our cars serious. I would not suggest buying a used vehicle from this dealership. I bought a used vehicle from them and within a week of owning I started having issues. Brought it back in and was without my vehicle or a loaner for two weeks. They could not diagnose any issue and I picked it up. The issue did not go away on its own. Took it into another GMC dealer and found out not only did I have the original issue that was luckily covered under warranty but also 1,000 dollars worth of work that was not covered under warranty but would have been if they had done the job of figuring out the problem to begin with. I was told the truck I bought was certified which I found out it is not. I was told the seller of the truck was a repeat customer at this dealership and they had all the service records which come to find out the truck had never had any service since the day it was sold. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone buying a used car. They are not trustworthy and do stand behind what they say. read more
