My recent service at Palmer's Airport Hyundai has left me a very disappointed customer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]For three consecutive weeks, I called the service department every single day asking about my car and the loaner, but there was no response from my service advisor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On one of my calls on October 10, 2025, I even recorded a conversation where one of the receptionists could be heard in the background saying, "He's calling again." Such unprofessional remarks should not occur at a dealership.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was always an excuse as to why they did not have any loaners available. However, when I went to retrieve my vehicle after three weeks, there were over 14 loaners on the lot. My vehicle was being serviced due to a manufacturer defect with the motor, so I expected better communication and support during the process. Buyer Beware! My mother was always a Ford person. Ford's Escort, Fiesta, and Escape were all past models that she owned. When she decided to purchase a new vehicle. I suggested she get a Hyundai. I have owned an Elantra and a Sonata in the past and really liked the 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty on the power train. *Sigh* So we go on to Palmer's in June 2023 and my mom purchases the only Tucson they have on the lot. A little pricier than we had expected, but so be it. Then, on May 5, 2024, my mom is driving to her sister's and the car begins to shake and rumble and the damned accelerator sticks. She tried to brake but to no avail. The Tucson crashed into a utility pole. The airbags deploy. Which is fortunate for my mom and my step-dad in the front seat. However, my mom's twelve year old terrior-mix Buttercup was in the back seat, and she does not survive the crash. Of course, I bear the responsibility. I literally SOLD my mom the damned car and hear we are. Every single time I drop my 2022 Hyundai Sonata for service they half do whatever we bring it in for. I do my research, I select my vehicle, I go see David. It's that simple. I've purchased 4 cars here over the years and NEVER had the problems I've seen on Yelp! EVER! BTW, I was reading other reviews and I have some pointers. If your check engine light comes on after 300 miles (a tank of gas) you might want to check the gas cap. I'm fact, it specifically addresses this in most owner's manuals. Yes, service is a little slow because they now sell maintenance with almost every new vehicle. If you want a quick 10 minute oil change, go get elsewhere. That's not what they do here. They take care of your vehicle here! Best advice, schedule it early morning and you're almost guaranteed 1-1.5 hours. Small price to pay. BTW, that's typical at any dealership. Anyway, cut these people some slack. They deal with crazy all day and then you show up with your own crazy. Build a relationship. It's much easier than yelling or getting angry. Give them a reason to treat you special. Before we test drove the vehicle, Marcus went over the controls and various capabilities of the vehicle. He provided exceptional customer service. Took my FJ Cruiser in for an oil change, some other maintenance, and to have a noise checked on. I was there in time for my 8:30am appointment and met with a smile. Everyone I encountered was friendly. I waited in the service waiting area. During every part of the process, Jessica walked in and told me what was going on and what it would cost. Nothing was just automatically done without my approval first. I was offered a shuttle (more than once) in case I'd like to go anywhere since it was going to take a few hours. One of the parts department workers came up to me and said he noticed I'd been there for quite a while and offered me drinks and snacks. I thought that was kind of him, especially since they have vending machines down the hall for customers. My vehicle drove so smooth on the way home. I went through the same thing, I called the salesman told on phone and he said they would honor the online price for 2 hours But the ManAgee said it was wrong. After driving over an hour to get there - they gave me an offer that increased the price $4000. When I asked about it, they lowered the price $2000, but took $1000 off my trade-in. I got in my truck and drove to another dealership and purchased a car at the same price they had offered online. I agreed to take a test drive but was quickly pressured into submitting a credit application. After the test drive, I liked the car, but was pressured into dealing with them. The salesman, Princeton Westry, didn't even want to let me negotiate on price or even see proposed numbers until the finance manager had the numbers for me to review. This is NOT how a car deal is done. Basically, Princeton Westry had me fill out a credit application first, test drive the car, and then submit numbers to the Finance Manager before allowing me to review the proposed deal (of course at full price). Dealing with Princeton Westry and Palmers was a mistake, I got burned! It is a nice car, but could have had a better car for what I paid. I was kind of tired from a long week of work and just let them sucker me into a bad deal. In hindsight, I could have gotten a much better deal and interest rate. I wouldn't recommend this dealership for getting the best deal. I like the car, but I didn't get a good deal on it. read more

You take your car into the dealer for an issue, they BREAK the gas tank door off my car, then tell me they'll call when new one comes in... 1-1/2 months later NOTHING. Brand new car and no fuel tank door! I've called 2x and no one calls me back! Shelby that I spoke to, seems uninterested in helping find someone for the issue and wouldn't even let me explain before rudely saying she doesn't know (doesn't care) and the advisor is over that and she can't do anything at all. Got a flyer in the mail that said I was a winner. Drove across town to find out I did not win anything and the flyer was a lie. The salesman then said that they are having a drawing at 9pm. I said, why so late? He assured me and verified with another salesman so I drove 20 min Home, came back and arrived at 8:50. They told me sorry, the drawing was at 8pm. What a crock of BS. Absolutely do not take your car here for any service, I took my car in because I still had my car under warranty because my Foward collision light came on, come to pick my car up and the technician/mechanic David I wouldn't even call him that tells me he's the one who worked on my car so anyways I get my keys drive off and I hear noise coming from the front of my car Turns out my bumper/undercarriage splash guard had come off because it was not properly secured so now it's all damaged so I take the car back to Hyundai by this time Service is almost off so he pulls the car in real quick and "secures" the bumper/splash guard with zip ties very professional right so now the service manager is going to give me a call Monday and hopefully we can get this figured out. read more

My initial contact with a salesman was fine. He was knowledgeable and kind, wasn't trying to push a car on us. When it came to numbers he was pretty straight forward which I can appreciate. Now as far as the car, what they're doing for the cars we looked at is marking them ABOVE the window sticker price because the cars are in "high demand".. funny thing is though, other dealerships in the area, including Pensacola are NOT doing this. For example, if MSRP is 20,000, they have add on features let's say 3,000 so now we are at 23,000... then they're just adding let's go with another 1-2,000 for "demand" so the car you want is 25,000 but you can get it basically anywhere else for cheaper. We came back and our original sales rep was not there, so we were met with another guy who was not as friendly.. now the car we were interested in, I called before I came in and they gave me a price of $37,000 but when I showed up to look at it, it was magically $44,000! That's OK maybe someone looked at the wrong number over the phone. But the kicker is, the car wasn't even there because the GM was driving it and had taken it home for the night! They estimated that the car had around 800 miles on it and it's supposed to be brand new! Oh yeah and the price was over $3000 of the sticker price because of "demand". They can keep all of their cars as far as I'm concerned. Save yourself some time and just start at a different dealership from the jump. Hyundai's are great but this dealership is not. I ended up buying my Hyundai elsewhere and will not bring it to this location for service. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because our original sales rep Jeremy was great and gave us a lot of info on the car that we eventually bought somewhere else. read more
