After I heard about this Hot Chicken place I had to come try it. It's definitely not what I thought it would be. The tenders are dry and the breeding is just not what I expected compared to other hot chicken places.. I ordered the Nashville Hot flavor with Mac and cheese and tater tots. My sister ordered the salad and it was just your average salad with chicken. Nothing too special! The Mac was not bad but I think it can be better. You can't go wrong with the tater tots. There is actually no service there as you can just go ahead and grab a table and place your order on the QR code and they just bring you the food to your table. The place itself has a great ambience with a great outdoor for families.

For awareness, I doordashed this. I was super excited to try their Mac n cheese based off the pictures from reviews and their website but it did not live up to my expectations. It tasted just like kfc mac n cheese. Not that anything is wrong with kfc mac n cheese this just wasn't what I was expecting and expected better. The Caesar wrap was just okay. I did appreciate the amount of chicken but I barely tasted any Caesar. I felt like I was just eating a chicken wrap.

They have a nice patio and inside seating. When we walked in there was no line and the customer service was very friendly. I came for the fried shrimp and thought it was nice and crispy, but probably not worth the $19.

The absolute best Nashville hot chicken place in Dallas. Chicken is incredible. Sides are great. Highly recommend tots over the fries in my opinion. Their chicken sandwich and catfish are also very good. Staff is amazing. Some of the nicest people you'll meet. Daily specials are some of the best in the city. Highly recommend.

Does this look like white meat to you? It's old and gross

Ate at this place tonight for the first time ordered the big white, it was not white. It was gray and dark and I'm sorry that I ate any of it! I am praying that I do not wake up with food poisoning like I just realized another review written yesterday did:( They are supposed to credit me for the meal, but just a waste of time and money and just gross!

HOLY BIG PORTIONS!! When they say Jumbo chicken tenders they aren't kidding. I would say the chicken tender meal probably could easily feed two adults. We ordered way too much food. The Nashville spice level is good here, unlike some Nashville hot is so spicy it's almost intolerable. They also have some good daily specials. Come check this place out!

TikTok did it again. There's an influencer by the name of Olivia Culver who was singing high praises about the Chicken Caesar salad wrap (and from the video it did look delicious) so I stopped by yesterday to try them. When you get into the parking lot you'll notice Palmer's is surrounded by a lot of new, trendy retail shops and food spots. It's really close to a grocery store & is only minutes from NorthPark, Greenville Ave etc so you could really make it an all day affair. What's cool is Palmer's has plenty of options for seating, catering to those who love a view and want to sit outside but also has plenty of room inside for those who prefer a more intimate feel. The decorations are modern but eye catching (and picture worthy lol) without being overstimulating. When it comes to the food.....deep sigh. I ordered the fried chicken caesar salad wrap w/regular fries. I would've ordered the cheese fries Olivia had in her video but because I ordered to go I opted out. Since I've never been to a hot chicken spot I also wanted to try and got their infamous Nashville hot chicken. In total I spent $22. When the order came out and I opened the boxes everything looked mouth watering good. However, I will say the wrap was over stuffed with lettuce & had the smallest amount of caesar dressing so overall was underwhelming and dry. Whenever you make a wrap of any sort you need something to serve as a binder (cheese, sauce etc) to keep it from falling apart, but as you'll see in my pics and videos there was none of that so it turned into a salad after two bites. It's just wild because not even two weeks ago I had a grilled chicken caesar wrap from AMC Mesquite, and was surprised at how good that was for theatre food, so imagine my surprise when I thought I was going to get something 10x better and it fell flat. Anyway I tried to let it go because I had also ordered the Nashville hot chicken & surely Palmer's would redeem themselves through their signature item, but I'm more than certain they were using old grease as that's all I could taste when I bit into it. I still tried to eat it as I don't like wasting food or money, but it just wasn't agreeing with me. The hard lesson I learned is sometimes what looks good can still be misleading & no two people have the same palate, but experiences like these are part of the process of trying new places to find the next best bite. Best of luck on your visit!

Not going to mince words here. This chicken is fantastic. I'd go back every day of the week if it was healthier and I lived close. Unfortunately, it's not the healthiest meal and I don't live close. When you enter, you wait in a line to order at the counter, and then take a number and sit down where they bring you your food. Tenders, wings, doesn't matter. It's worth your time. It's worth your commute. It's worth the calories. Go now, before you change your mind.

Sunday Special (SUNDAY ONLY)- Fried Chicken (dark meat), MAC AND CHEESE, tots
    Samantha G.

Overall thoughts: beautiful ambiance and delicious food The interior is very trendy and warm. The enclosed patio had 2 TVs playing sports (Dallas Cowboys game playing), and plenty of seating. There was a celebration going on there when we visited. Play area for the kids/adults (jumbo jenga, cornhole, jumbo connect 4) The food was amazing! The service is counter order, and an employee will bring the food to you when it is ready. I ordered the Sunday special, which was fried chicken, 2 sides, and a drink. I ordered the "novice" spice level, with dark meat. My 2 sides were tots and Mac and cheese. The "novice" spice was not spicy, but had a good kick and flavor to it. Chicken was breaded and fried to perfection. This place is a gem!

The restaurant is very trendy. There is a large indoor dining area with a full bar (2 TVs playing sports) and counter service order. The entrance has an enclosed patio. The patio had 2 TVs playing sports, and plenty of seating for those who would like to sit in the area with the patio windows open. I had the catfish which was bland . You could tell the flour didn't have any seasoning in it and fish wasn't seasoned either. Do yourself a favor and try the collard greens! The greens were very good. The portion is more than enough.. I will be back to try the hot chicken.

Three jumbo chicken finger combo with collard greens and pimento cheese grits

Palmer's is always a great place to come to anytime but on a Friday night, they weren't extremely packed and we were able to order and find seating right away. Their chicken is always fresh and delicious and served piping hot and I'm not just talking about the spice. I got the three piece jumbo chicken tender combo, Nashville spice level and for my sides I got the collard greens and pimento cheese grits. The first thing I dug into were those grits and they are so creamy and good, that pimento cheese gives them such a wonderful sharp cheddar cheese flavor and they are perfectly salted. The chicken tenders are huge, freshly made and super juicy, the Nashville spice level is perfect because you get some really good heat but not to the point to where it burns your stomach. I got my tender so plenty of ranch to cool down the heat and the ranch dressing is also really delicious as well. The collard greens were pretty good, they are a little bit sweeter than I care for them to be but it was not a deal-breaker, they are still good overall and not so sweet to where they were inedible. Overall, I highly recommend Palmer's hot chicken for a casual night out or anytime really!

Palmer's - Hot Chicken, Catfish and Shrimp at 6465 E Mockingbird Ln #316, Dallas, TX 75214 First nice little family atmosphere to enjoy food and they have a semi outdoor patio. The food was pretty tasty the service was good the ladies up front are working way too hard I hope they literally getting paid with their worth. I would like to come back here and sit down inside the restaurant at a later point probably when it's a little cooler outside. Seems to come from a rich history just by analyzing the stuff on the wall. I did a little research below for some interesting reading. This was interesting researching the person on the wall who is their patron saint of Nashville hot chicken Tennessee tastemaker James Thornton Prince was living proof. A legendary local lothario in early 20th-century Nashville, Prince possessed an appetite for fried chicken and the ladies. His passions have made him a legend in American culinary circles. Prince is the king of Nashville hot chicken.

Absolutely loved their selection! The dark meat entree is HUGE. For some reason, I didn't think one would be enough but it's ginormous. Anyway, onto the positives! The batter is on the thicker side with a nice crunch. I personally felt like if I kept eating it, the fat would actually clog my blood vessels. So, unfortunately, I couldn't pig out all the way. However, the chicken itself is incredibly juicy and the best part imo. Nice n steamy goodness. Tots are just tots. They were great but ain't nothing particularly special abt them. I also really enjoyed the Mac n cheese! I felt like the taste was great but I'd prefer a thicker texture of the cheese. My bf got the chicken caesar wrap and said he really enjoyed how light and fresh it was. They didn't skimp out on the chicken at all. Ranch and fancy sauce complimented the wrap well. It was the perfect serving amount. All in all, we would highly recommend this place! The service was quick, easy, and simple. If you needed anything else, you could just walk up to the front and grab whatever you needed (to-go box, utensils, cups, etc). The vibe of the restaurant is very outdoorsy, family-friendly, and cozy.

I have had much better banana pudding with no bananas from another restaurant. I would have rather had more than 5 mini vanilla wafers instead of the cool whip topping . $7.99 for that never again . The French Quarter dish was dropped off it was received warm from the doordash dasher . Everything was seasoned well , the shrimp etoufee is a tad bit spicy but it isn't overwhelming. I wish they provided at least two catfish fillets instead of just one . . I didn't want any hushpuppies but there is no choice to decline them. Boudin balls are good. Chicken-fried brisket is the star of the show here, and it's every bit as legendary as the hype…read moresuggests. I went specifically for their signature dish (the one they proudly call themselves the "Home of the Chicken Fried Brisket"), and it delivered exactly what everyone raves about. They take a thick, oak-smoked brisket slice--already juicy, tender, and loaded with smoky flavor and perfect bark--then coat it in a craft-beer batter and fry it up. The crust comes out shatter-crisp and golden, never greasy or soggy, while the brisket inside stays beefy and moist. That peppery burnt-end gravy poured over the top is rich, savory, and ties everything together beautifully with a scoop of skin-on mashed potatoes on the side. It's pure Texas comfort food genius--smoky BBQ meets Southern fried steak in the best possible way. I'd order it again in a heartbeat (it's a Tuesday special or weekend brunch treat, so plan accordingly). The rest of the BBQ holds up just as strong. Their regular brisket (flat and point) is consistently juicy, tender, and smoky with that killer bark everyone mentions. Sides and other meats are solid too--no weak links. The house beers are fantastic and pair perfectly with the rich, smoky food (the rustic, woodsy vibe in the historic downtown Garland spot makes it even better for lingering over a pint). Service is friendly and the whole place just feels welcoming. If you're in Garland or nearby and love bold Texas BBQ with a creative twist, Intrinsic is a must. The chicken-fried brisket alone is worth the trip--don't sleep on it! Highly recommend for anyone who wants great smoked meats, great beer, and something uniquely delicious

**Yardbird Dallas Brunch Review**…read more I had the pleasure of visiting Yardbird Dallas for brunch, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. The location is perfect if you're spending the day exploring Dallas--it's surrounded by plenty of activities and is in an extremely walkable area, making it an easy stop to add to your itinerary. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out. The hostess was warm and welcoming when seating us, and our server was fantastic. They were knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus and, more importantly, genuinely helpful when it came to making recommendations. I always appreciate a server who can confidently guide you through a menu, especially when there are so many tempting options. I started with the **Espresso Martini**, which was really good and a nice way to kick off brunch. But the true star of the meal for me was the **Holy Trinity Hash**. I'll admit, I was expecting the short rib portion to be more of an afterthought, but I was pleasantly surprised by how generous it was. The short rib was substantial, and all of the flavors came together beautifully. One detail I especially appreciated was the **dirty rice instead of potatoes**. It added so much more character to the dish and paired perfectly with the other components. This was one of those meals where every bite made sense, and I completely understood why our server recommended it. Beyond the food, I really enjoyed the restaurant's design and layout. The space is aesthetically pleasing without feeling overly formal, and I loved that the layout allows you to see across the restaurant--it gives the dining room a lively, open feel. If the Texas heat hadn't been doing the absolute most, I definitely would have considered dining on the patio. It looked like it would be a great option on a cooler day. Overall, my experience at Yardbird Dallas was excellent, and honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. The service, atmosphere, cocktails, and food all came together for a memorable brunch. I'd absolutely return the next time I'm in Dallas, and I'd happily visit another Yardbird location when traveling to a city that has one. **The Holy Trinity Hash alone is enough to bring me back.**
