After hearing nothing for an entire month, I had to call the store myself just to find out what was going on. During that call, the staff seemed confused about my order. The person I spoke with apologized and acknowledged that the store had failed to send the invoice as promised. Despite their mistake and the lack of communication on their end, I was later told they would no longer work on my materials. This was completely unexpected and very disappointing, especially considering I had been patient throughout the entire process. What made the situation worse was the tone and lack of professionalism in the response I received when trying to address the issue. As a customer, I should not have to chase down basic information about an order that has been sitting with a business for a month. At this point, I have asked that my materials simply be returned in the same condition in which they were dropped off. I strongly recommend that anyone considering using this business be aware of the poor communication and lack of professionalism I experienced.

They charged me $300 for the 3 dresses which I am sorry for you to mess up on 2 of the dresses and only needed to take an off material is extremely expensive. I would recommend to stay away from this place to get anything tailored. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I brought in three dresses to be hemmed because they were slightly too long. The gentleman spent less than a minute pinning the length and only used one safety pin on each dress. I had a bad feeling about it at the time because it seemed rushed and careless, but I trusted that the work would be done correctly. Unfortunately, my concerns were justified. Two out of the three dresses were hemmed to the wrong length. I only had enough time to bring one back to be corrected. The other dress had to be worn as is because my event was right around the corner, and there wasn't enough time to have it fixed. To make matters worse, I was charged $300 to hem three dresses. That is an outrageous price for work that wasn't even done correctly. Hemming is one of the most basic alterations, and there is no excuse for getting the length wrong on two out of three dresses especially after charging such a premium. I expected professional workmanship and attention to detail, but instead I received rushed, sloppy work that left me with dresses I couldn't wear as intended. I have been going to this tailor for a couple of months. I recently brought in a white button-down that needed the torso tapered. When I picked it up, the shirt still fit noticeably loose, and when I looked inside to understand why, I found several issues with the alteration work: - The back darts were sewn asymmetrically -- they start and end at noticeably different heights on each side. - The dart points were left bulky and puckered instead of pressed flat, creating visible bumps under the fabric when worn. - Loose threads and uneven stitching were present on both darts. - The side seam taper ended in a crooked, unfinished fold that looks rushed and sits uncomfortably inside the hem. I asked about the loose fit when picking the shirt up and was told "shirts are supposed to have room," but the garment still balloons excessively when tucked in, which defeats the purpose of tailoring a fitted dress shirt. I have attached photos of the inconsistencies and have marked them in red and black for the viewer's convenience.

I just purchased a pair of khaki pants yesterday from a local store in another part of the city and after I tried them on again at home, I felt the pants length was just a little bit too long. I have to wear them at a new seasonal job. So I looked here on Yelp to search for the best tailors in town. And guess what business came up on the list? The Sciolis! WIthout knowing their background and expertise beforehand, my intuition took over. Without even looking anywhere else, I just said to myself I'm going here. After being fortunate to find a good parking space right across the street because it is far from easy to park on Passyunk Avenue, I walked in to a welcoming store by Pasquale and Anna. Once I told them them what I needed to have done, I tried on the pants, Anna took some measurements and within 2 hours, Pasquale completed the work! After Anna called me to tell me the pants were ready and I returned to pick it up, I could not be happier. I did not even need to try on my pants again. I knew based on his experience, he did them right. That is how much I trusted him. This is not just a highly reputable business and have done work for many across the city including mayor Jim Kenney, but those in public life have undoubtedly come to appreciate Pasquale and Anna for what they do!
