I took 3 dresses here to have them be hemmed since they were a little too long. The gentleman took about less than a minute to mark off the length it needed to be. I was unsure at first since he only marked it with one safety pin. 2 out of the 3 dresses were not cut the length that it was supposed to be. I was only able to take one back to have them fix it correctly the other dress I just have to wear since the event I needed it for was around the corner and wouldn't be able to get it fixed in time. They charged me $300 for the 3 dresses which I am sorry for you to mess up on 2 of the dresses and only needed to take an off material is extremely expensive. I would recommend to stay away from this place to get anything tailored. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. That is an outrageous price for work that wasn't even done correctly. Hemming is one of the most basic alterations, and there is no excuse for getting the length wrong on two out of three dresses especially after charging such a premium. I expected professional workmanship and attention to detail, but instead I received rushed, sloppy work that left me with dresses I couldn't wear as intended. I absolutely cannot recommend this business to anyone looking for quality tailoring. My experience at Stanton cleaners was not the best . I dropped my husband suit off to be cleaned for same day cleaning. I was excited because i found someone to do it at last minute now I will admit the suit had a big nasty spot on it that I sprayed with some shout before I left my home . When I arrive the manager ask me did I put something on it and I said yes . what I'm upset about is I believe he Knew deep down that the suit was ruined but charged me 65 dollars to clean it . I paid the money up front which was different for me when I use a cleaners because I normally pay after the service has been completed . The first thing I notice when picked up the suit was all the customers paid as they picked up their belongings. The other part is nobody even told me the suit was not completely clean or even mentioned it until ask so had I not look for myself before I left they would have just let me leave . My belief is they only pressed the clothes and never clean them at all because the other worker took the white dress shirt that was also not clean and just put bleach on it to remove the spot but the neck of the shirt still had dirt stains. The worse part of it is I had to practically beg to get management on the phone and was told he didn't want to ruin his Saturday night . When he notice I was not leaving without some type of refund he got him on the phone . Management did give me half of my money back but why do I have to even ask you for some type of refund when you know the service I expected was not completely done . I hope in the future Stanton will be honest with their customers and not just take advantage to make a dollar . These so called "We Clean Greener" dry cleaners have destroyed two of my most expensive leather and fur jackets. Do not use their services as they use very toxic solvents. My last Nicole Benisti fur coat now smells of oil and grease. It is absolutely ruined. I will never set foot again in this place who calls itself " green " cleaning. We had a complicated 11 piece preservation job involving my wife's father's Korean War army uniform (and WW2 items) and her mother's wedding dress and other things that had been damaged due to a flood at a storage unit. Everything had been exposed to mold and mildew from moisture that got to the old storage boxes. Harry was great and warned us that the job would be involved, and take some time, but he met his quote and it was done on the actual day that he'd told us to call (in fact he called us on that exact day). Harry at the shop took care of my vintage Rudy's caramel leather jacket very well. I had looked up a shop in Philly, and Stanton 1 hour Cleaners came up. I had my dad bring it in because he lives near the shop. It had an oil stain on the back, and I tried to get it out with no success. He gave us options if the stain didn't come out, and even said they could re-tan the leather for an increased price which I thought would be cool if necessary. Went in to hem a summer dress for my sister's graduation. I have done this 5+ times because I'm short. After measuring me he told me to hem my ONE dress it would cost over $40.... a dress hem on a summer dress should be $10-20. Double checked on Google too. He then told me if I was on a budget I should have mentioned it as to not waste his time.... I am sorry Arash that I a customer wasted your time. $43 for a summer dress to be hemmed! We needed very quick service because of a probable bed bug contact and one of us was flying home the next day. We had bagged in heavy plastic all of our possibly contaminated luggage and clothing. I was comically excited to try Stanton Cleaners as my very first experience with professional alterations. I checked out reviews and was pleased with customer comments about the quick turnaround, good pricing, and quality. I had a business trip coming up and I had bought my first big girl suit and wanted it tailored to fit like a glove. My experience dropping the suit off was decent. Staff were friendly, although I was skeptical of the extreme brevity with which the gentleman took my measurements. I was quoted $48.25 to have the jacket sleeves and pants hemmed, pant legs tapered, and both items dry cleaned. I have the ticket to prove this. The turnaround was quick, but when I picked them up I was charged $83.25!! Almost double! I was told that she had mistakenly left some item out of the quote. I definitely displayed my disgust. I explained that this was not the price I was quoted and showed the ticket. I should have pressed the issue, I shouldn't have paid it. But I'm not a confrontational person and it was uncomfortable. I had a floor-length bridesmaids dress that I brought in for tailoring. I wanted it to be shortened to just above my knees. I will start out by saying I have not been to a lot of tailors and I don't really know what questions I am supposed to ask or things I am supposed to look out for. The way I see it is that if I am going to a professional for help, they will help guide me through it because they are the professional and I am not. I assumed that they would ensure that everything would get done correctly. I brought the dress in telling them I wanted it shortened to just above my knee. They said no problem, I paid up front for tailoring and dry cleaning and they told me I could pick it up in a week. A week goes by and they call asking if I can come in to try the dress on before they start actually tailoring it. I tried it on and the sheer top layer of the dress went past my knees and the slip underneath was just at my knees. I saw a faint chalk mark on the dress and there were maybe 1 or 2 pins in it. I said it seems fine however, I did want it to be a little above my knees. He told me that once they start working it will be shorter than it is now so that's perfect. I gave the go ahead and went on my way. Another week goes by and it's ready to be picked up (3 days before a wedding I am planning on wearing this dress to and a week later from when they originally said it would be ready). It looked a little short in the bag but I assumed it must have been hung up weird because there is no way it could be that short. I take it out of the bag when I get home and it is that short. The sheer top layer falls way above my knees and the slip underneath is not even fully covering my crotch. My butt also is barely covered. This dress is now unwearable and in my opinion, it is absolutely not what I had agreed on or envisioned. I went in the next day to ask for a refund. I said that unfortunately my dress is now unwearable and I would really like my money back considering there is nothing I can do with it anymore. He immediately said there is no way he can refund me when that is the length we both agreed on. I told him what I saw when I tried it on for him a second time and I assured him I did not agree on that length. He said that if they gave refunds to every person who came in and said "I didn't know this is how it would look" or "I must have misunderstood" then they would have no money and they are a business that needs to make money. I was getting upset so my partner stepped in for me telling him that they were there when I first brought the dress in and I never said I wanted it that short. This guy's mom (who I believe is the tailor) came over and started listening to our conversation. She didn't say anything or ask any questions, she just came over and listened to her son explain how there is no way they can refund me and if I want to bring in a different dress for tailoring and dry cleaning that he would do it no cost to me. He also said he doesn't want to lose us as customers, but he understands that's a possibility and if that's what we want to do then so be it. It really seemed like he wouldn't budge and I was really upset and wanted to get out of there so we left. I am extremely disappointed because I really loved this dress and was looking forward to wearing it again. I also feel gaslit in a way because I know for a fact I would never agree on a dress to be that short and even if I did, why would a professional not say anything about it? I never really saw the guy measure anything and each time I went in there to try it on for him, he barely asked me any questions or told me what to do. It felt like I was hurried along each time however, I just assumed that meant they knew what they were doing. I definitely assumed wrong. I showed the dress to a number of people, some of who are familiar with tailoring and alterations, and they all confirmed that the dress was butchered, unwearable, and clearly not what I asked for.
