I never thought I would be back to Palms & Paws, but I did give them a fair and honest rating of 3 on my last review. I decided I would give them one more chance doing something I thought they could handle. My first rating of 3 was a gift. It means satisfactory. It was truthful and clear. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This time we called and they said they could handle the issue, so we called today to make an appointment and they will not see us--I guess they don't like the truth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now they have ever right to not like a review and instead of responding to it, to just try to erase that person, but that is rude and not wise. When no one else was able to diagnose his condition, he was able to make the diagnosis of lupus and has followed up every step of the way. Milo just had an emergency GDV and he went out of his way to find places for Milo to get emergency surgery and followed up. Their costs are slightly higher than other vets I've tried, but the quality of care makes up for it. Ive take Ace to a number of clinics and vets over the years and i can say without a doubt they care more here about his well being than all the other vets combined. Ace literally runs in the door when we get there. Thats not happened before. He loves the staff so much. For me its a clean, gorgeous office and i havent felt more comfortable anywhere else. Ive never sat on hold waiting for someone to get back to my call. The Doctors are so engaging and honest with my options for care. Reviews are always all over the place and youll see a lot of bad reviews with establishments because thats when people find the energy to say something. We just got our puppy and I was using Yelp to find the best Vet in the area. I could not have chosen better! We love Palms and Paws. Our little pup is an handful with many issues from an umbilical hernia to ear infection and even worms all within her 16 week life span. My first interaction with Dr. McEvilly was when I sent an email over to Palms & Paws letting them know that I'm getting a puppy and I'd like to have her checked out. I made it a point to send photos of her previous surgery that happened before I came. She had ripped out her stitches and her previous vet said everything was fine, but the photos made me concerned. I emailed it over to the doctor the day that we got her. Almost immediately after I sent the email, I got a call from Dr. McEvilly who expressed his concerns and sent us over to the emergency room to have it taken care of. I thought this was extremely important and really great that he reached out when he saw the issue immediately, even though he had never treated her, instead of waiting until his next available appointment. Most dogs don't like the vet, but our dog loves it here. They always give her treats make her feel special and we always can call and check in and ask questions if we have them. We could not have found a better doctor for our little pup. I can't recommend Palms & Paws enough! I had tried a different vet, and it was an extremely awful experience. I'm so happy to have found P&P. Dr. Ahn is my cat's primary vet, but we've also worked with Dr. Park and Dr. McEvilly. All three have been wonderfully attentive, taking as much time as needed during appointments or on calls, and you can feel they truly care about the animals. They aren't just another number or seen as dollar signs only. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All the other staff are very kind and helpful as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From the moment you walk in, the ambience is incredible. It's so peaceful, quiet, and clean. BY FAR the best vet I have ever been to. We've been bringing our rescue pup, Olive, to Palms and Paws for two years, and Dr. McEvilly has been nothing short of AMAZING. He's caring, thoughtful, and incredibly dedicated. Dr. McEvilly successfully performed surgery on Olive removing a mast cell tumor and guided us through a scary glaucoma emergency (even calling specialists himself to get us an appointment when it was completely booked). We were very unhappy with our last vet for their unscrupulous price gouging practices, so I asked a friend for a recommendation. He immediately told me to try Palms and Paws, and I'm very happy I did. I made an appt online that was a few days out, so my wife called there. They made an appt for our dog the next morning. I met with Dr Ahn, and he was very patient and inquisitive about her in order to offer the best solution. He informed me that the problem she was having was a known side effect of the medication the last vet prescribed and shook his head when I told him they never mentioned that. This might be one of the best vets ever been to. When it came to designing the space, you can tell that they put a lot of thought into the anxiety and stress that comes with a sick animal. They had spa like music playing and a diffuser. It smells very pleasant and inviting instead of like typical vets. everyone was very kind and welcoming. They even had a little sign with Finch's name written on it to welcome him into his exam room. The vet and the vet tech seem to be pretty knowledgeable and willing to work with me on a pretty complex gastrointestinal issue with my cat that is still unresolved, but fingers crossed! I was referred to Palms and Paws by a friend. I am so grateful! Dr Phil Ahn is a wonderful rapid fire diagostician ! His passion and love of animals is off the charts! He will not gouge you with many tests and high fees as other vets! The staff is always very efficient and caring. The facility is sparkling clean and beautiful! This morning my cat was seen for a possible contagious respiratory infection. We were whisked into an exam room , Dr Ahn and his assistant put on their full haz mat suits and masks ! My previous vets never took such precautions! A rapid fire exam & diagnosis, done! They have continuous AC/ hepa filters cleaning the air, the facility is steril & sparkling clean! Both Ladies on front desk did nothing short of a perfect job of juggling professionalism and kindness,  even sharing a chuckle about a trucks plate outside(you'll see). When we were taken through to the exam area I actually thought the Tech was the vet, he acted with such Empathy to Bentley it kinda made me relax too. So into see Dr Ahn. The standard greet,  but not the standard 2024 'I'm only here for your money attitude'. This guy will tell you what's going on in a clear way, as if your Brother were advising you.  Everything Bentley needed doing was done and my joy when i heard those footsteps come through the door(yes i know his footsteps from 30 feet away). I am so lucky that a vet like this exists! I was looking for a new vet and we were recommended here from a friend at the dog park. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with water and a modern waiting room. We were shown to the exam room almost immediately and while we had to wait a bit because of another emergency, Dr. Ahn was extremely quick and thorough with his exam. I have never met with a vet who was so attentive and kind with their examination and my puppy, Alfie, was thrilled with the kindness of the staff. They took it slow and gave him plenty of treats to keep him calm and happy when he typically hated being at the vet. Even though the exam fee was a bit higher than my old vet, they never nickeled and died me and it ended up being at about the same price as I had paid at our previous vet. The staff was so professional with their recommendations, follow up emails, and communication. I felt like I had found a vet who truly cared about my pet and who treated him like family. The worst veterinarian experience I've ever had in my life. I spent time researching and looking at reviews before deciding to take my dog here as all the other reviews looked promising. My dog had been sick off and on for a few weeks having stomach issues and problems with her skin. The vet recommended a shot to give her without telling me other options. HE DID NOT GO OVER ANY POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS OR INTERACTIONS BEFORE GIVING MY DOG THIS SHOT. He sent me on my way and said she would be fine and to follow up in a few weeks. I took my dog home and went to get my blood work done and once k came home my dogs face had more than doubled in size from swelling. She was panting and coughing and her tongue was even swollen. I called the vet in a panic and the front desk lady said that's an allergic reaction to the shot she was given and ti being her back in. When I rushed back, they tried to GASLIGHT me and tell me this was caused by a bee sting. (My dog had gone to the bathroom briefly after the vet. No bees were around and then she was inside me home. So instead of taking accountability for not explaining possible interactions and side effects they tried to manipulate me into thinking this was a bee sting when the front desk lady AND THE INTERNET clearly state a swollen face is an allergic reaction to the shot they had given her. They then charged me another $30-$50 for a Benadryl shot for her and told me to watch out for if she threw up. The next morning she threw up all over my brand new couch multiple times and I again, called the vet. They said to bring her in so that they could charge me for ANOTHER SHOT. At this point I have spent about $400 to try and get my dog feeling better but all they did was make her worse. I ended up taking her somewhere else and they said my dogs allergic reaction could have been fatal and this vet should've gone over what to look out for and explain possible interactions before administering the shot to my dog. After i called to tell them my dog was now throwing up, no one even called to follow up to see how my dog is doing or if she's okay. If I could give zero stars I would because this vet is clearly incompetent. I only feel comfortable with one star because of the women working at the front desk who were very nice (this review is not for them and only for the two vets that tried to gaslight and manipulate me into thinking this was a bee sting after not properly doing their jobs and going over possible side effects and interactions) Save yourself the trip and the money. This vet does not care about the actual wellbeing of your pet, and clearly is only a money hungry company who fails to take accountability and lacks customer service. read more

I highly recommend Palms and Paws Veterinary Center. Doctor McEvelly and his team saved my cat Gift who had a very serious disease, stomatitis, which required pulling all his teeth. Doctor McEvelly's surgery was remarkable. After 28 days, my cat had healed so well that he was able to eat dry food this morning. Doctor McEvelly saved Gift a second time. My cat refused to eat his medication in his food, even treats. Of course, he was in a lot of pain and couldn't eat after few days. I was in tears. The doctor reassured me that all he had to do was manage the pain. He didn't hesitate to ask another clinic for a rare product so that Gift would suffer as little as possible.
