So so so so good! Love their burgers! Had their smash cheeseburger and also regular. Both are bangers but I like the cheeseburger bc it has lettuce in it. Bun is good and the Patty is a good size for me. If you're a big dude, these burgers might feel kind of small to you and you'll probably need to have more than one. Their fries are good too, and I feel like the burger is decently priced for what it is. It's obviously cheaper to go get it there than it is to DoorDash it. Plenty of parking in the back and a couple of seats for you to sit at if you choose to eat there. It's in a building that houses a couple different restaurants kinda like a mini mall food court. Mid!! It's so funny because everything always hyped in the Santa Monica-Venice area is always severely mid. Being from LA, there's a lot of burger joints. My bf and I came once here and it was coo. I gave it another try on my own tonight and omggggg wish I didn't. There is a lack of CARE and QUALITY for the food. First off, it didn't taste fresh. This establishment preaches about the ingredients but the taste, care and freshness was completely off. And I ate it right away too. I also upgraded and paid an extra $1 for "hand-cut fries" as I was curious from last time, but they looked like the same fries as last time! They had no flavor and as you can tell by the photo, the fries are literally brown. I thought fries were yellow! Overcooked and no flavor. Lmao. The burger was OK. It was definitely greasy and didn't taste "healthy" to me. I mean I would've been better off eating at In-n-out for this carelessness. At least INO is consistent and actually tastes good. I'm not going to lie, this burger slaps! I've wanted to try this spot for a while, as I'm on a mission to try all the popular smashburgers in LA. The concept of the bun's exterior being on the inside with the patty is completely new to me and gives it a different texture. The interior of the bun was buttered and heated on the griddle, though I felt it was a bit overly buttered, but not too salty. I recently had a smash burger elsewhere that was overly salty, but not here. While the price is a bit steep, I'm happy to pay more knowing they use quality ingredients. They are very efficient; I received my burger 10 minutes after ordering. However, the burgers aren't very filling. I ordered the Grilled Double Smash ($13.54), and while it was very good, I still felt a little hungry afterwards.I loved the crispy edges, the sweetness of the onions, and the butter pickles. There's so much to love about this spot. Despite ordering at the kiosk, the customer service was great. The staff was happy to offer suggestions and help. They use the best ingredients, with 100% organic, grass-fed patties, and they don't use any seed oils. You can check out their website for more details. Personally looked great in all the reviews but I feel like there are definitely better options locally. I felt like the burger lacked flavor and was fairly small for its price. The fries just had a dump of Parmesan cheese which don't get me wrong I love but it just didn't taste like much? The cheese was flavorless overall. Have I ever known what it's like to eat cookies like Cookie Monster? Well that's basically what I did today with Palm n' Patties beef tallow fries. WOW. They were so so good. I've been wanting to check this place out for awhile as they blown up on social media and today just felt like a burger and fries day and I have to say this is a place that lives up to the hype and more. I ordered the grilled smash and it was amazing. Perfectly balanced and delicious and the perfect size for me, not too big or small, not too greasy, packed a ton of flavor across the meat, cheese and perfectly balanced with their house sauce and pickle. Ate that one up too. I also appreciated their level of service in how they packaged up my order so nicely and with a great level of care, and hooked me up with a ton of fries too - they were overflowing when I opened the bag and still nice and hot when I took them home! When you walk in, it's almost like a mini food court with several distinct spots: there's a curry place, a pizza place, a boba shop, and then Palms n' Patties. Stopped by and immediately loved how unique the setup is, multiple businesses all inside one building, which was really cool to see. We were greeted right away and ordered through the kiosk, making everything quick and easy. I went with the double smash burger and fries, and the food came out fast. My friend and I had lunch at Palms n' Patties and loved it! You can find them at the Berkley Street Market on Wilshire which houses a few different food spots. They had a some seating outside and metered parking spots. Now the whole thing here is a healthier version of burger and fries. The patties are organic, grass-fed beef and they cook without seed oils. They do their burgers smash style and I found it juicy, tasty, dripping with their house sauce shenanigans - loved it! The fries here are wild! They crisp them in beef tallow and then top them with TONS of shredded parmesan cheese and their special house sauce again. I absolutely enjoyed them but could not eat this all the time because it was just a lot. My friend and I agreed - very solid smashburger but made better by being kinda sorta healthy lolz~ I love it! read more

I got the Double Grilled Smashburger, they toast the buns inside out, and the tallow fries. The no seed oil recipe and fries in beef tallow genuinely tasted way cleaner than other similar spots. After I eat In n Out, I can't move. This was totally different, the food taste clean and you feel good after eating. Patties are super thin so get the double cheese. And the dipping sauces for fries were fire, really enjoyed the green Mayo and their PnP sauce is pretty good, like an in n out spread but lil more mustardy and liquidy. The jury's out for me, having ordered to go with a 5-minute drive home. This was my introduction to smash burgers. The standard burger comes with cheese, all melted gooeyness. While the beef is grass fed, I didn't taste a difference in quality, maybe because the patty is so flat. Did see crunchy looking edges, but maybe you need to consume the burger right away to get the full effect. Still, there are really tasty onions with pickles on grilled bun. The amazing sauce, like a spicy, lighter Thousand Island, makes the burger. An order of fries is huge, shareable. I liked the small fry pieces, as they were crunchy. Some were too salty. They are fried in beef tallow, so be good to your heart and don't eat in excess. My double patty burger with fries came to $18. Touchscreen ordering. Burgers are made to order and customer service was great. Palms n Patties shares space with a few other eating places like Oakberry. Street parking was easy to find. These are without question some of the best burgers on the westside. I think you have to like this style - which not everyone does - but as far as smash burgers go these are great. I get that this is the teen but it's also nice to have real interaction as well. Even when the food was brought out it was still minimum. The spot itself is not for larger groups . I stopped by The Palms and Patty Place after randomly bookmarking it on Yelp while looking for a burger spot in Santa Monica. I chose it over another place I'm familiar made the wrong choice tonight. The wait was 30 minutes for a "double burger" and fries which seemed excessive. The kitchen looked chaotic, orders were going to the wrong people and it just didn't feel like there was a good flow, especially with Uber Eats/Postmates and walk-up orders all happening at once. I also noticed a blonde employee tucking her hair behind her ears and then handling food without changing gloves not a great look for food service. When I finally got my food, I was disappointed. I paid $7.77 plus $3.77 for an "extra patty" but it barely looked like there were two. I went back in and spoke to who I assume was the manager an African-American gentleman. He changed his gloves, inspected the burger by sticking his fingers into it, and told me there were two patties then sent me on my way. I didn't eat that $12 burger. O_o The fries were also way too salty. Overall, cute concept with the little strip mall and different food vendors, but the experience didn't live up to the hype. Very good burger at a pretty good price. In the world of $15 burgers, it was nice getting a double smash for under $12. The beef is flavorful with great crispy edges from the griddle. The sauce is flavorful, cheese is super melty, and I loved the grilled bun. The fries were decent; pretty standard fast food fry. They give you a LOT! It's like the 5 guys method of filling your tray plus giving you a ton of "bag fries." I know there was an option to pay an additional $1.77 for hand cut fries, but the standard at $4.77 should get the top option, in my opinion. I don't want to spend nearly 7 to get the "good fries." Service was quick and easy, as you just order online and pick up at arrival. It's a ghost kitchen, but I do like the fact that there are seats inside. It's a small building servicing multiple restaurants, but there was no issue finding a place to sit. My review started off by saying NO ONE WARNED OF ANY DELAY. (2) There was no "attack" on staff in my review. I said nothing about their attitude or conscious disregard. To clarify, no one ever said anything to me about anything during my visit. No hello. No thank you. No one even called my name out. When my order was ready, it sat on the counter in a bag. There were four other bags next to it and a crowd of people wondering if those bags belong to them. My review mentioned a sign that was put up HALF WAY THROUGH MY 30-MINUTE WAIT. So to try to turn the facts on me (a customer) and call me a liar when I brought receipts... that's a boneheaded move. (Query, is attacking the customer a sign of a successful management decision?). Now everyone reading this knows exactly who the management team is, that they would lie, attack a customer, and claim that I attacked staff in my review when I did not mention staff. Wow. I told you don't reply because I knew you would enlist prevarication. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to turn true and honest receipt-based reviews into an attack on a customer. Cheeseburger: 10/10. The bun and beef were excellent, and the house-made sauce was absolutely perfect--light, not too creamy, and full of flavor. The lettuce was super fresh, and what I loved most is that they use only organic, grass-fed beef and no seed oils--way better than most other burger places. And I'd pass on the upsell sauce next time and just ask for extra ketchup. It seems that they are still going through growing pains. Our walk-up order took at least 20 minutes t make two burgers and fries. It wasn't a lack of staff, as there were 4 people in the small kitchen. The place is more like a food court than a ghost kitchen, as the 3 places there each have their own counter. Plus there's room for two more restaurants. Oddly, there's no bathroom. They cook the fries in beef oil which I think is what makes it extra yummy. They have it listed on the menu so that's nice for my vegans/vegetarian friends. They have a very select menu right now with two burger options, and you can add extra patties and what not if you'd like. The burger options are the regular burger or a smash burger. I ordered the regular burger. At first glance I thought they gave me the smash burger. I guess they smash the patty no matter which burger you get. First time coming with my family. I heard great things about this place so I brought them to try it out. I love a good smash burger. This is one of the best in the area. I love that it's organic and grass fed beef. There is 4 other eat in places as well that I also came wait to try. When you come in there are 2 computers that you order at and once your order is complete they prepare your order fresh when receipt pops out from the back. The menu is green with white writing on the wall next to the computers where you order at. The color is a nice mint green with a hint of grey. Nice and clean atmosphere. Wait time was a bit slow for the place being empty but most orders were takeout. The place is clean and staff is courteous.
