    Grilled Smash Pn'P Fries (NEW)
    Dennis Z.

It was ok. Not bad but not the greatest burger I've had. The Pn'P Fries wasn't anything special aside from the copious amount of Parmesan that throws it off balance. Personally it was a bit overpriced for something underwhelming. Service was good, staff was friendly. It wasn't too crowded so you can find a seat easily. I just wish the burger was more filling.

Palms n' Patties is so damn tasty--and I've been meaning to try it for a while now. It absolutely lived up to the hype. When you walk in, it's almost like a mini food court with several distinct spots: there's a curry place, a pizza place, a boba shop, and then Palms n' Patties. Everything feels clearly defined, and I'll eventually come back to try the rest. But tonight, I was here for Palms n' Patties--and that's exactly what this review is about. The space is incredibly clean, with outdoor seating, totally dog-friendly, and has a relaxed, chill vibe with plenty of outdoor seating. What surprised me most is that even though it's on the corner of Wilshire, it wasn't loud or traffic-heavy at all. It felt calm and easy--rare for that location. We both ordered the double cheeseburger (I got mine without the cheese), added the herb mayo, and shared fries without the parmesan or queso. We also grabbed an Ollipop, which was delicious. And yes--they make their own fries. From the service to the ambiance, everything just worked. The staff was warm, friendly, and genuinely kind--happy to answer questions and clearly proud of what they're serving. And here's the thing: when was the last time you ate a burger and fries and didn't feel like you had a brick sitting in your gut afterward? The grass-fed beef, the organic ingredients, even the fact that the ketchup packets are organic--it's all those small details that add up. The herb mayo great for dipping your fries in to. I also added jalapeños to my burger and man. I'm glad I did ! You can feel the intention behind every choice. Even the packaging stood out. The bags have weight, presence, and quality--like the storefront comes to your table. It sounds small, but it matters. The presentation is thoughtful, purposeful, and elevated. And the taste? So good. Like, ugh, craving more so good. I was genuinely impressed--from the first bite to the last fry. Between the food, the service, the vibe, and the attention to detail, Palms n' Patties just gets it right. You really need to get down here.

Stopped by and immediately loved how unique the setup is, multiple businesses all inside one building, which was really cool to see. We were greeted right away and ordered through the kiosk, making everything quick and easy. I went with the double smash burger and fries, and the food came out fast. There's seating inside, so it's easy to sit down and enjoy your meal. The food was really good! Huge bonus points for everything being organic and fries cooked in beef tallow instead of seed oils? That alone sets this place apart. The burger was flavorful and just done right. Overall, an amazing spot and a great bang for your buck for a smash burger. I'll 100% be back.

Wow...! I played pickle ball for 3 hours and came here for dinner. This was exactly what I needed!! A greasy double cheeseburger with salty fries LOL SO GOOD!! The seating kinda sucks but it's located in a food hall. They had a lot of orders so I knew this was that burger place. Loved it! Their pnp sauce was excellent too! I'd be back!

I first time Ordering from Palms N Patties and I was fairly impressed. First off the burger was very good overall but it was so small I could have eaten 4 of them. However, it tasted so good I will definitely order from them again!

My friend and I had lunch at Palms n' Patties and loved it! You can find them at the Berkley Street Market on Wilshire which houses a few different food spots. They had a some seating outside and metered parking spots. Now the whole thing here is a healthier version of burger and fries. The patties are organic, grass-fed beef and they cook without seed oils. They do their burgers smash style and I found it juicy, tasty, dripping with their house sauce shenanigans - loved it! The fries here are wild! They crisp them in beef tallow and then top them with TONS of shredded parmesan cheese and their special house sauce again. I absolutely enjoyed them but could not eat this all the time because it was just a lot. My friend and I agreed - very solid smashburger but made better by being kinda sorta healthy lolz~ I love it!

Had heard a lot about Palms n' Patties and finally made it here. Didn't realize it was at a food hall type of location with several spots around it. The menu is simple with a cheeseburger or a smash burger, where the difference is lettuce in the cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was ok. The lettuce was essentially nonexistent but the pickles were front and center. For the price it feels like a very expensive burger. Like you can get a more hefty burger for the same or less money. The cook was good and the meat was fresh but could be a bit fattier. Food came out quickly and there are tables around to munch the burger quickly. But yeah it's essentially ok..

Receipt for $12.50+ cheeseburger and parm fries $9.77 with sauce $1.27. Then coke $3.77

LIES IN MANAGEMENT RESPONSE: (1) The response from management is 100% false. I was NOT told about a 30-burger order. I was NOT told I would have to wait. My review started off by saying NO ONE WARNED OF ANY DELAY. (2) There was no "attack" on staff in my review. I said nothing about their attitude or conscious disregard. To clarify, no one ever said anything to me about anything during my visit. No hello. No thank you. No one even called my name out. When my order was ready, it sat on the counter in a bag. There were four other bags next to it and a crowd of people wondering if those bags belong to them. My review mentioned a sign that was put up HALF WAY THROUGH MY 30-MINUTE WAIT. So to try to turn the facts on me (a customer) and call me a liar when I brought receipts... that's a boneheaded move. (Query, is attacking the customer a sign of a successful management decision?). Now everyone reading this knows exactly who the management team is, that they would lie, attack a customer, and claim that I attacked staff in my review when I did not mention staff. Wow. I told you don't reply because I knew you would enlist prevarication. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to turn true and honest receipt-based reviews into an attack on a customer. Shameful.

Grilled Double Smash and Beef tallow fries with Green Mayo (NEW) and PP Pn'P Sauce.

Note, this is not a standalone restaurant and is in a little mini food hall with 3 other spots. Limited seating and kiosk ordering. Parking is fine, there's a lot in the back. I got the Double Grilled Smashburger, they toast the buns inside out, and the tallow fries. The no seed oil recipe and fries in beef tallow genuinely tasted way cleaner than other similar spots. After I eat In n Out, I can't move. This was totally different, the food taste clean and you feel good after eating. Patties are super thin so get the double cheese. And the dipping sauces for fries were fire, really enjoyed the green Mayo and their PnP sauce is pretty good, like an in n out spread but lil more mustardy and liquidy. Really good food and hit the spot, will be back.

I was so excited to try this place out because of the reviews and how good the burgers looked. I can honestly say this is one of the best smashburgers I have had, better than most places in NYC and LA. However, I am so disappointed in how horrible the fries were. I got the Parmesan fries and as you can tell from my photo they were soggy and disgusting. 0/10. I easily would have given 5 stars if it weren't for how the fries ruined my meal, which was not cheap at $22.

    Plenty of onions

The jury's out for me, having ordered to go with a 5-minute drive home. This was my introduction to smash burgers. The standard burger comes with cheese, all melted gooeyness. While the beef is grass fed, I didn't taste a difference in quality, maybe because the patty is so flat. Did see crunchy looking edges, but maybe you need to consume the burger right away to get the full effect. Still, there are really tasty onions with pickles on grilled bun. The amazing sauce, like a spicy, lighter Thousand Island, makes the burger. An order of fries is huge, shareable. I liked the small fry pieces, as they were crunchy. Some were too salty. They are fried in beef tallow, so be good to your heart and don't eat in excess. My double patty burger with fries came to $18. Touchscreen ordering. Burgers are made to order and customer service was great. Palms n Patties shares space with a few other eating places like Oakberry. Street parking was easy to find. I will come back, eating in next time so I can have the optimal experience.

This place is a cute hidden gem! The food was really good -- both the regular cheeseburger and the Smashburger were tasty, and the fries were hot and fresh. The cheese Parmesan PNP sauce combo was delicious. The reason for four stars is mainly the price and portion -- the single burger was a lot smaller than expected and felt pricey compared to other burger spots. Still, the food was very good overall, and I'd definitely recommend trying it!

    Double smash burger with jalapeños

I don't know how to begin to explain how amazing these smash burgers are They are not messy. They are a perfect burger size. The meat is so tasty. The cheese is bold. The buns are soft and toasted. The cooks cook the patties with some cheese & it has that slightly crispy cheese on the edges of the burger that everyone loves Now I've tried the fries with cheese & sauce (not a fan) I think the fries could have been crispier, but they did come out a bit soggier than I would've wanted! What I also love, is that the pickles are sure salty. The patties aren't tough or bland. The toasted bread on the smash burger isn't super oily. It's just perfect!! IT GETS BUSY! Came here on a Friday night around 8pm and it took about 20-30 minutes for our order to come BUT WORTH THE WAIT Ordered a double smash burger with jalapeños gobbled it up within minutes. I'm a small person & even I wanted another one!! Highly recommend ordering two because one just isn't enough. They are too good!! The ambiance is a quick stop & go. There's limited seating inside. Must. Try. Go. now.

Double smashed. TerribleZ soggy. Shredded lettuce doesn't work . Amateur .

With such high quality beef and no seed oils, what are the specifics about the buns you use?

They are great. I assume they have gluten and sugar.

Are the fries and sauce gluten free?

I seriously doubt it! Yet they are pretty darn healthy and unless you are celiac you could eat it...ya know there's some interesting info on the truth of gluten...

Does the PNP sauce contain any dairy? (Dairy such as butter, cream, milk and cheese. Egg and mayo are okay)

Hi there, the Pn’P sauce is dairy free.

Is there a grilled cheese option for vegetarians?

Hi there, we’re going to have a griddle cheese option on the menu soon!

I'm an Americana fan, so I was excited to learn that Route 66 turns 100 this year. That's when I…read morediscovered that the historic western end of Route 66 is right here in my neck of the woods--Mel's Diner in Santa Monica. I finally visited earlier this week with one of my nieces, who was in town from Kauai. For a Monday evening, I was pleasantly surprised to see the restaurant had a healthy crowd. AMBIANCE This isn't a cozy, homey diner. The concrete floors and walls give it more of an industrial feel. That said, each table has its own jukebox, which instantly gives the place that classic American diner atmosphere. SERVICE Our server reminded me of the old-school diner waitresses from movies set in the 1950s and 1960s--efficient, brisk, and focused on getting the job done. I was curious whether that image reflected reality or was simply a Hollywood stereotype, so I looked it up afterward. It turns out that traditional diner service really was known for being fast, efficient, and no-nonsense: seating customers quickly, taking orders, serving hot food promptly, keeping coffee cups full, collecting payment, and moving on to the next table. Our server was certainly speedy, but he was also more accommodating than those classic diner stereotypes. He pointed out to my niece that ordering fries with her sandwich might be too much since we were already ordered a type of fries as an appetizer. He also patiently answered my questions about the Slow-Braised Short Rib Dinner, which I had my eye on. At the end of our meal, my niece mentioned something about her own experience as a restaurant server. By then, though, he was clearly ready to move on to his next table. Fair enough-- it made the experience feel even more like an old-school diner. Haha! DRINKS One pleasant surprise: they serve Spiked Milkshakes. My niece was thrilled! As for me, I ordered a glass of Chardonnay, and -- it easily held its own against glasses I've paid considerably more at upscale restaurants. APPETIZER Bacon Ranch Cheese Fries -- Need I say more? MAIN COURSES Reuben Sandwich (with colesalw instead of fries, thanks to our server's suggestion). My niece loved it. Slow-Braised Short Rib Dinner -- Absolutely delicious! The meat was incredibly tender. I ordered the demi glace (sauce) on the side because I wasn't familiar with it. I asked our server whether it was sweet, and he said kind of. So I decided to try it separately and requested it on the side. It turned out to be rich, savory, and the perfect complement to the short rib. I'm glad I ordered it that way. I highly recommend the Slow-Braised Short Rib Dinner. DESSERT We skipped dessert because my nieces' spiked milkshake was practically dessert on its own. PARKING The restaurant has its own parking lot immediately next door. I got lucky and found an open space as soon as I drove in--just a few steps from the entrance. It reminded me of those movie scenes where the main character somehow always finds the perfect parking spot right in front of where they're going. BOTTOM LINE Overall, we had a very enjoyable dinner. If you're looking for a classic American diner experience -- especially if you're a Route 66 enthusiast -- Mel's Diner is definitely worth a visit.

Been here a couple of times now and it's become one of my go to diners in the area. The food is…read moregood, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the portions are generous for the price. I ordered an omelette sandwich while my gf went with the ham steak breakfast, and we shared a peanut butter milkshake that was surprisingly good. I can see this place getting pretty packed during the breakfast rush, but we stopped by for a late brunch and had no trouble finding parking. It's conveniently located near the 10 freeway, though traffic around the area can get a little hectic

Here's the scoop on the parking:…read more Parking in the back lot is validated for 90mins before 5pm & 2hrs after 5pm. So you park, scan the QR code on the signs, & pay for EXACTLY 90 mins before 5pm or EXACTLY 2hrs after 5pm. It will ask for your license plate & cell number - it takes Apple pay. Don't close out the browser page, bc you'll need to enter in the parking validation. (Yes the total is a lot & yes you will be mad if you're used to what used to be easy & free parking. But just follow these instructions & have faith.) Once you get to your table, find the card next to the menus w/parking validation QR codes. Go back to the browser with the parking payment on your phone & scan the QR code that corresponds to the time of day you are there. It will automatically make your parking free, if you pre-paid for the correct amounts of time. I learned the hard way - do NOT pre-pay for anything besides 90mins before 5pm or 2hrs after 5pm bc the validation will NOT work & you will end up paying for the whole parking fee. Do this once & you'll remember from there on. And you can still park there for free. This location no longer serves alcohol - under new ownership, they didn't renew their license. But the food is still same, & the service is same, & once you get used to the parking validation, your parking will still be free. This is literally the only Counter I know of that is still around. I still love making my own burger on a huge salad!
