The food came out so hot and fresh, I didn't get a picture of the fried but they are crispy potato wedges that were so good. The wings came out steaming so I had to wait a little for them to cool down. The 2 workers that were there were both friendly and the cashier was patient with an impatient customer as well. Quiet enough to do work, another customer was working on his laptop.

I am a die hard Wing Stop girl, but when I drove by Saucy Bird, checked out the menu and saw a loganberry flavor, I knew I would have to put it on my to try list. Stopped by on Sunday around 4pm and there was not a single soul in the restaurant. Eeek, not a good sign, but I'm still gonna give it a try. I ordered the 10 piece wings, half lemon pepper/half loganberry, with ranch, carrots + celery and a side of fries. First initial thought was dang that bag of food smells gooooood. Lemon pepper tasted pretty much the same as Wing Stop. Nice and crispy. Loganberry was fruity with a hint of BBQ. Exactly what I would expect wings from the Knott's Berry Farm boysenberry festival to taste like. Not as crispy as the lemon pepper because of the sauce, not dry rub. Carrots + celery were seriously sad. I felt like they picked up the carrots of many colors from Trader Joe's and served those. 3 sad carrots and 3 sad celeries. Fries were very thick wedge/steak style fries. I noticed my bag was already leaking grease as soon as they gave it to me and it was from the fries, which continued to leak through every paper surface I put them on. The edges were crispy, but I would have liked them to be a tad bit more crispy throughout the fry. They were so big and thick I couldn't even eat all of them, with the potato paste thick in my mouth. The ranch was good, very herby, and a nice portion size. I had enough for all my wing dipping delight. Would I go back? Maybe, to try the strawberry hibiscus habanero wings. The sliders look cute to try too. Bonus: really great service, even with a to go order. Bogus: the wings are quite small, especially for the price.

Saucy Bird on Pico Blvd took over a Japanese Shabu-Shabu restaurant. It is next to the old Westside Pavilion, on the western side. I went on a Saturday and they had football on a large projection screen. I had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and found it very tasty. They use thigh meat, which I think is the only way to do it. Personally, I think it could have been a little spicier and that's saying a lot as I normally get mild. Next time I'm in the area, I'd be happy to try them again.

As someone from the south, I have high expectations when it comes to chicken wings! And I definitely found the match! Saucy bird is by far my favorite wing spot in LA. They nailed the flavors down! They also have fries that are fried and beef tallow! The chicken tenders are super juicy and delicious! I also love the sauce options here! The service here is amazing and the only difficult part is finding parking, but there is residential area behind the building! Definitely worth getting for your next game night or when you're craving wings!

The entrance is something to experience. You think you're walking into a small restaurant but when you turn the corner you are welcomed by the cashier and an open floor plan. It feels like a restaurant but also a sports bar with a TV on almost every wall. It's geared towards the Bills Mafia fan base but any fan of sports will feel welcomed.

A little birdie wants to tell you to check out @saucy_bird_la ! I was absolutely CLUCKING excited to check out one of the hottest (and most underrated) new chicken shops in West LA. This Buffalo Bills-themed spot specializes in Buffalo sauce-flavored wings, and offers an extensive menu of chicken wings, fingers (my favorite), sammies and salads, as well as their signature triple cooked fries. Their chicken is literally cooked to perfection- with juicy, tender meat inside and your choice of their perfectly seasoned signature buffalo, BBQ, lemon pepper, or innovative Sichuan style sauce. Highly recommend checking out and supporting this small business for some of the best, finger-licking chicken I've had! Buffalo born, LA inspired with some LA swagger = Saucy Bird!! They have street parking. As we walked up to Saucy Bird, you see the cute bird on top!! It's chicken and football themed. TV's were playing sports. They also have a huge movie screen that plays a movie!! So cool! They use high-quality ingredients that are mostly locally sourced. Their chicken is free range, vegetarian fed and hormone and antibiotic free; always fresh, never frozen! You can taste the difference!! We tried: - Nashville Bird Sammie (MUST-TRY) - Buff Style Sammie (MUST-TRY) - Lemon Pepper Wings - Bourbon BBQ Wings - Mixed Green Salad - Coleslaw - Triple Cooked Fries (fried in beef tallow) Loved how crispy their Chicken Sammies are!Their sauces are all made in-house. They have veggie options available, like their Eggplant Parm Sammie. Lala was so friendly and had wonderful customer service!!

OK, so first off I need to make one thing clear: I am an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and as such, I am an avid Buffalo WINGS fan. I go to Buffalo every year to attend a game with my brothers, so I regularly get to eat the best buffalo wings on Earth. In other words, my standards are high. My expectations went even higher when I walked in and was immediately greeted by a life-size cutout of Josh Allen. Loved the Buffalo vibe. I can comfortably say after just having eaten here that these are the best buffalo wings I've had in LA, and honestly, rival the best I've had in Buffalo. They're that good. If you like your wings crispy (which I very much do), this is your spot. Perfectly crisp, high quality chicken, and the flavors were incredibly imaginative. I went with the original Buffalo (medium but shoulda gone hot) and the Sichuan style. Both were great, but the Buffalo really stood out. If you want an idea of what the top buffalo wings taste like in the city that invented them, this is your spot. Service was great too. I'll be a repeat customer.

Boyfriend and I love trying new places, we wanted wings. We drove to LA on August 3rd. I googled and this places has good reviews. We got into town around 6pm, they closed at 8pm so they weren't busy at all. We were the only customers in the entire restaurant. The female who greeted us and took our order was extremely friendly. Food came out fast and was very hot. Really good flavor on the wings, I just got buffalo. My boyfriend ordered a chicken sandwich (forgot which one) but chicken was good. My boyfriend liked the fries, I was not a fan of them unfortunately. Once we were paying, she gave us a free smore cookie to go. I don't eat sugar, but took a bite. Just say delicious, craving wings? Near by? Go check them out

The Baseline: For a Chicken restaurant you need to have good quality chicken, good sides, good sauce/rubs, and preparation of all ingredients. Food: I had the Nashville Bird Sammie, the beef tallow fries, and a Mexican Coke. The Sammie was cooked well with a good application of breading and served at a hot temperature. If I had to give it a hit it would be that it was not spicy like I was expecting with a Nashville Sammie. If I were to get it again I would request it sauced and tossed in a hot sauce before it was nestled on the bun. The bread on the Sammie was great and it was imprinted with the Saucy Bird logo (great touch). I also had the fries... yes, Yes, YES on the fries. They are really wedges and they are fried in beef tallow. Beef and Potato are natural friends so I recommend. I also had a Mexican Coke so real sugar sodas are always better than overly sweet corn syrup soda. Also the waitress gave me a full chilled water bottle with a glass of ice. Loved that. Service: I had great service and the waitress that took my order and made sure I was taken care of. I asked for Blue cheese because the sammie came with carrot and celery sticks. I was also given a chilled water bottle for my water so that was really extra. Ambiance: If you are a Buffalo Bills fan you will love the ambiance. I am not but I am also not a hater so I appreciate the show of support. The table seating and decor is well placed and arranged. It is a very comfortable restaurant to eat at.

I ordered the chicken strips with fries, while my partner ordered a two-piece chicken dinner with macaroni salad and spicy rice. Although we had to wait a little while for the food, it arrived hot. We both agreed that it was some of the best fast-food fried chicken we had ever eaten. The chicken was moist and the batter was crispy. My fries were good, and my partner's macaroni salad and spicy rice were both flavorful. We especially loved the biscuit. I also couldn't help noticing that although the dining room feels like something of a relic, it is very well maintained. There were no dirty tables and no trash on the floor. I was genuinely shocked when the cashier came out to ask how everything was and whether we needed anything else. Most fast-food chains seem determined to eliminate as much human interaction as possible. Pioneer Chicken was a refreshing reminder that fast food can still be friendly, clean and satisfying. A perfect palate reset between the heavier dishes. Crunchy, citrusy, and balanced, the kind of salad that actually earns its spot on the table. Grilled Eggplant Salad, smoky, silky eggplant with a char that tastes like it came straight off a backyard grill in Manila. Light but flavorful, and a great contrast to the richer plates. Pasta Palabok, a true Filipino classic reimagined. Creamy, savory palabok sauce wrapped around pasta instead of noodles, bold move, but it works. The textures are luxurious, and the flavors stay true to the original. Tare Tare Tamale, definitely one of the most creative dishes of the night. A fusion tamale with tare flavors that hit sweet, salty, and umami all at once. Soft masa, rich filling, and a flavor combo that makes you pause mid‑bite. "Mmmm hmmm!" Hamachi, so clean, fresh, and beautifully plated. The kind of hamachi that melts instantly and makes you feel fancy even if you're wearing sneakers. Of course I had my dress shoes on. It has bright citrus notes and just the right amount of heat. Sampa nails the high‑end, artsy vibe without feeling stiff. Trendy lighting, modern décor, and a soundtrack that keeps the energy fun. Perfect for date night, anniversaries, or when you want to look like you know the cool spots in LA. Sampa is Filipino fusion with confidence, bold flavors, gorgeous plating, and an atmosphere that elevates the whole night. If you're trying to impress your significant other, celebrate something special, or just treat yourself to a killer meal in the Arts District, this place delivers. "Always remember the energy you give ...is the energy you receive. One bite at a time! " Miguel C.

We came here during DineLA week. $55 for 4 course menu. It is our first time here but we had tried…read moretheir kare-kare tamale and ube cheese cake at food festival... so, we were quite excited to dine here. The menu is simple but creative, perfect blend of Filipino and Spanish cuisine. Inasal cesar salad: calamansi dressing is refreshing. Grilled chicken is perfectly grilled add a nice twist to the salad. Kare-kare tamale: signature dish. The braised oxtail is so moist and tender..the veloute sauce is milky. Bucatini and rigatoni are also so yummy. We can't decide the winner. Bucatini is spicy. Rigatoni is milky and buttery... so you decide. Grilled escabeche white fish: the fish is moist with crispy skin. Ribeye is melt in my mouth. For desert, panna cotta is a.perfect ending of a beautiful dinner. Every dish.is beautifully presented. The service is impeccable. There is paid parking across from the restaurant for $10. It is probably one of the best meal we had this year. If you have not been here, Sampa should be on your bookmark to check out.
