I ordered the Sawtelle smash burger with their crinkle cut fries, both so delicious. The burger itself with the grilled onions had to be one of the best tasting burgers I have ever had in a while. Their menu also features many options for burger lovers, including a hotdog and beef burger! Fantastic service, definitely worth the stop.

I was in Sawtelle area, and finally got a chance to try Black Sheep Burgers. I tried the Katsu's California Roll Burger with avocado, crab, sushi ginger, nori, wasa mayo, and daikon sprouts, tomato, cucumber under the beef patty, with a side of Teriyaki Sauce. What a burger! Weird combination, but somehow works. Delicious! I'd like to try the other burger for sure next time I'm in the area.

4.5* Food 4.0* Service 4.0 Ambiance Gourmet burgers are crafted here at Black Sheep Burgers. Of course, other items are also served, such as Fish and Chips, Chicken Sandwiches, Tuna Salad, Teriyaki Cheesesteak, etc. I will have to return and give them a try. If you are particular about the cooking temperature of your meat, make sure you specify it when ordering. Unfortunately, two of our three burgers were more raw than we like. Francis Mori has thoughtfully created unique burgers such as the Date Burger, containing dates, bacon, almond encrusted goat cheese, honey, and LTM. Curry Burger served with chicken or beef, daikon, peas, carrots, and tomato. On my first try, we didn't want to be too adventurous and opted for somewhat mainstream choices such as the Dog Town, Hickory, and Fire Roasted Hatch Chile Burger, which is served with crinkle fries. The Dog Town was definitely the most flavorful of the three burgers; the hot dogs really made this a hit. If you love hot dogs, you will enjoy this burger. The Fire Toasted Hatch Chile was subtle in heat with a satisfying, comforting blend of flavors. The Hickory was not too sweet and had generous, flavorful bacon, which made this burger a hit. Plenty of seating is available outside; inside, the decor is quirky, and seating is limited, with mainly barstool seating and a few smaller tables. I've been impressed enough to return and try some of their other tantalizing menu items.

Cute little burger place in Sawtelle, known for their unique burger recipes! It's never crazy busy, the staff are super friendly, and the grabbing your food is super quick. There's indoor and outdoor seating for dining in. I got the Cali Roll Burger, which honestly tasted great. I was surprised at just how well the fusion flavors paired.

Among the many ramen shops that permeate this part of Sawtelle, Black Sheep Burgers is a refreshing respite from all of the noodles. Ordered the Sawtelle Smash burger, which was simple, but solid: crispy, yet juicy smashed patties with gooey American cheese and a lovely, creamy sauce inside. Fries were just-okay. Black Sheep Burgers has some promise, and I'd be interested in trying other of their burgers out later!

Worth the drive! This is the place where the photo of the burger that you see IS exactly what you get. Stacked, juicy and, memorable, add this spot to your list! Sorry, no food pics this time only venue (I was so hungry to stop and take a pic). With Great customer service, and two spots (indoors and reduced or outside and open) to chill and enjoy the food, BSB in Sawtelle is a magical place!

Famished post-tennis, & parked in a spot of dubious legality, I can't say I checked out the ambiance too much. However, I can vouch for speedy & attentive service! Once home, I opened my to-go order to be absolutely wowed by the portion served for the price. And once I'd dug in, I noticed how fresh all the components of my Ahi tuna grain bowl were. This place is definitely on my list to return to!

This burger was actually really good. I didn't expect much of this place but decided to try it since I was in the area. The burger was nice and juicy and tasted home made. It came with fries and those were nice and crispy too. Staff was nice and they had a few tables set up outside. Overall I would get it again. Street parking

Black Sheep Burgers is a small burger restaurant nestled in a corner of Sawtelle. The staff are prompt and friendly and the food is priced amazingly for what you get. I usually drop in for the chili rice - nostalgic to my childhood and Hawaii but today I tried something different. I got the 2x2 burger and my boyfriend got the katsu sandwich and both were delicious! The 2x2 is HUGE and the katsu was perfectly krispy. We enjoyed our visit and the outdoor patio on a busy sawtelle Saturday night.

We love everything about the Black Sheep. They don't just have burgers, you can get a great California roll there as well. The place is small. You pay at the counter. There is a few seats outside. Most people get take away or delivery. It is super clean. The service is very nice and they are fast. It does not take long to get your food. Their burgers are great. I love the meat they use. They cook them all to order and they prepare the meat the way you want it and not burnt to a crisp like many places do now. The Katsu California Roll is crab, avocado, sushi ginger, nori, wasabi, mayo, tomato, and cucumber on a beef patty. Yes, on a beef patty and it is great. We love the Yuki Spicy Tuna that has, sushi ginger, nori, wasabi, mayo, tomato, and cucumber on a beef patty. It might sound strange, but they are so good. We also love all of their salads. They make a great Chinese chicken salad and a wonderful, but simple, garden salad. Their fries are great as is their chili. If you want you can get a simple double-double burger and it is one of your favorites. You will love this place.

I decided to try a new burger place and I am so happy that I did! I noticed that this place had crinkle fries so I decided to try it. I read the reviews and they were good so I gave it a shot. Oh my goodness the burger was so delicious and the crinkle fries were yummy. They could've been a little bit crispier but I will stick the leftovers in my air fryer and that will do the trick. I had no idea the 2 x 2 burger would be so enormous! I will definitely order a single next time. This burger is delicious. I am so happy I tried it. It was flavorful and just the right. I had already pulled out my salt and pepper, but there was no need to add anything to it. Everything was just delectable snd perfect. I will definitely be ordering from this place again and I definitely recommend it. I love a good burger and this one hit the spot!

I feel like this place is slept on and even I admit I forget it's there sometimes. But the burgers are delicious but today I opted for their breakfast sandwich and it was fantastic. The brioche bun is perfectly round and shiny. And the bacon, spam, hash brown, runny egg, cheese and green salsa makes such a great bite that I literally couldn't put it down until I finished the whole thing. I've been here for the burgers before and they are also great but their breakfast is a big hit too.

    They do have a few

Is the crab in the Cali real crab or imitation krab?

Are burgers and/or hot dogs all beef or are they pork?

The burgers are beef, but you can sub a ground chicken or veggie patty,

I do not have a car and want to visit. Is there any indoor seating? Can I get a burger to go?

There is indoor seating. Yes, they do to go orders.

Does each burger come with fries?

They do not come with fries.

Is this this same Black Sheep as the one that was located in DTLA?

Unsure if it is part of a DTLA location. To my knowledge it's part of 26 Beach restaurant in Venice! Black Sheep Burgers on Mississippi is one of my favorite spots on the West side & I couldn't recommend it more!!

Is the veggie burger completely vegan, including the bun, sauce, and all other ingredients? If not, can it be modified to be vegan?

I'm 99% sure it can be. The Jamaican relish felt vegan when I tried it and the only other thing on it that might have animal-product is the mayo, which can be subbed or taken off

What did they replace at this address? Trying to remember what was here before them.

Korean Super and Seoul Sausage Co.

Is this the same Black Sheep Burger as in Tokyo? We went to a restaurant by the same name in Japan and it was excellent!

I don't know about Japan but they are the same as 26 Beach in Marina del Rey!

I figured I'd give the recommendation a try, and I'm so glad I did. From the outside, it's in a pretty nondescript industrial area, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But once you walk in, it feels like you've discovered a hidden neighborhood gem. The café has a relaxed, beachy vibe with a cozy, homey atmosphere. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor tables, and I noticed a lot of people enjoying breakfast, catching up with friends, or working on their laptops. I ordered the American breakfast with eggs, kale salad, sourdough toast with butter and jam, avocado, and tomatoes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I also had a black coffee and one of their Bluey's coconut waters, which was a nice addition to the meal. One thing I really appreciated was the location. Even though it's tucked away from the busy streets, there's plenty of parking, it's peaceful, and you don't feel rushed. It's the kind of place where you can actually relax and enjoy your meal. Overall, this was a 10 out of 10 experience. Great food, great atmosphere, easy parking, and a place I'd happily come back to. If you're looking for a fantastic breakfast or brunch on the Westside, especially if you're coming from LAX, Bluey's Cafe is absolutely worth the visit. Highly recommended!

Got the Pedro Burrito & a hot latte…read more It ended up being 24 dollars, and 29 something once I added the tip. To be fair, the ingredients were fresh - but the execution was lacking. For the latte, it was rather milky - and it didn't taste that strong. As I said, I had it hot, and it seemed rather lukewarm - if anything. Extremely foamy, and didn't seem to taste like maple - even though that was the syrup used. The oatmilk was a great substitute, but something seemed to be missing from the drink. Truth be told, I'm a huge coffee snob. Being in LA, you come across so many coffee spots - and I'll admit that I am picky when it comes to my caffeine. The service was great, and quick. I didn't have a problem with that. The water more so a self service situation, which I didn't mind. Lastly, the shining jewel - the burrito. Which, in all truthfulness, was the most disappointing. The reason I'm still giving it three stars is because the flavors within the burrito were bold, and similar to how I remembered it when I last got it. However, one side of the burrito wasn't grilled - leaving the rest of the tortilla ending up rather gummy. Loved the pickled onions. It added such a needed sharp taste to help balance out each bite. Sadly, they didn't offer the little sauce they typically serve this burrito with. Unfortunately, the food was so underwhelming and a downgrade from when I last went that it is now joining my graveyard of spots in LA that simply aren't worth a repeat visit anymore. Heartbreaking conclusion.
