I did some research to find a new veterinary office to bring my cats to and Laveen Veterinary Center has been an incredible find. They are easy to schedule with, are incredibly communicative, and are incredibly transparent about the care and cost of each visit. Their cat suite has a perch for your pet to watch the birds outside. If available, they will give your cat treats while they look them over. And they truly address every element of concern or questions you may have. Today, Dr. Aguilar and the tech, Tori, did an amazing job taking care of my Moo.

I have also took my past fur cat to here and OMG Christina was soo nice went above helped me with everything and it was a very quite and peaceful way to say good bye to my fur kid. I have never had such top quality service from her and the dr. In my life and I do have a lot of fur kids. lol I know I would only recommend a place k trust the people I deal with. I will tell you that if the vet tech was not who I felt was nice I would not have been back. Christina was soo loving and caring and gentle with my fur kid. If you need your fur kid seen go see Christina and her dr. They are the best. I will be sharing with my BNI group.

Arizona Humane Society - South Mountain Campus - This woman doesn't care that someone sprayed poison on cat food or that cats starve to death. Rude condescending liar.

We checked with the Humane Society and surprisingly their prices were so affordable. As to the actual service, I can't believe it how much the Humane Society has changed since the last time we had to do this about 12 years ago. You can decide to be with your pet up until the actual second shot which you cannot see. Or you can decide to just drop your pet off. You also can ask for the body back to keep things cheap cheaper and then take it to the Maricopa County animal control and they will dispose of the body for $15. It is illegal to bury a pet in Arizona. You get an appointment there is a special room for euthanasia. Dimly lit, soft music, flickering LED candles. They come in and tell you exactly how it's going to happen. They ask you when you're ready to let them know. Then they come in and give the shot that will just make them go to sleep then they will tell you to ring the doorbell, which is on the wall when you are ready for them to come and take your pet for the final shot. We decided to go with cremation, but did not want the ashes back, which is cheaper than if you do want the ashes back A week later, we had to put down our other dog that we had for very similar reasons we had gotten both dogs one week apart and unfortunately, they both were euthanized one week apart 16 years later. Unfortunately, it was a Friday and we knew this couldn't wait until Monday and we couldn't get an appointment. We went elsewhere for the second dog, and while it wasn't a terrible experience, it was nothing like the respectful quiet time that we had at Humane Society. In fact, I told the vet how they do things that Humane Society. And she thought all of that was a great idea and said that they had a spare room that they were trying to figure out what to do with, and she made the decision right then to try to emulate what the Humane Society is doing.
