Dr Frazier always takes the time to answer questions and explain everything thoroughly which give us complete confidence in our boys are. The staff is absolutely amazing as well. Mario is just amazing, His consistency to go above and beyond to make every visit a positive experience. He takes the time and makes the effort to ensure that our boys feels safe and secure with him, he asks the questions so that the doctor will know what exactly is going on with the boys. Mario makes sure the boys can act like themselves with him with no reprimands or harsh words. Mario treats the boys like his own family, and they feel secure with him and safe. Mario also will take the time to make sure that us parents know what is going on and never leave with any questions or concerns. The front desk team Ariana and Elsa are outstanding and make scheduling and check in effortless. Always pleasant and helpful, big welcoming smiles and love to our boys, while handling all the pets that are waiting to be seen. The back-office staff are just awesome along with Patti the hospital manager and vet tech both named Esmerelda, always exceptional medical care team along with a great compassion. If you know me, you know I love my dog Barkley more than almost anything else on this planet. This…read morepast Sunday night, Barkley was bloated and acting strange. We had a virtual urgent care call and they were concerned enough that we brought him into The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic to check in on him. After an ultrasound, they found that he had a mass on his spleen and was internally bleeding, and had to go into immediate overnight emergency surgery. The surgery was successful, and after a 36 hour hospital stay, Barkley is back home and on the mend. While this was such a scary experience and few days, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic and their team. They are open 24/7/365, and provided around the clock care. Because of the length of his stay, we worked with and spoke to multiple of their veterinarians and assistants (thank you to Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Fleming, Dr. Goldberg, and Dr. Blackmon), and everyone was so kind, attentive, and caring through every step of the process, gave us calls throughout the night with updates and over the past few days to check in on Barkley's progress, and were so compassionate in all of the care they provided. When we arrived I had my husband go check us in, because I didn't want to be crying in a crowded waiting room. He didn't even make it inside when my dog had a seizure so I honked the horn to get his attention. But he wasn't the only one, staff were already responding to us and taking her back immediately. I was so emotional, everyone was so gentle and kind. They took care of her and gave her meds to stop the seizure before the euthanasia. They took their time and made sure we understood what was happening every step of the way. They let us take our time with her when everything was over and let us stay for her pawprints and for as long as we needed. This was such a painful day but we appreciate the excellent care of all the staff we interacted with

My dog was very well-cared for and I knew then I'd be switching to this vet for good. My dog had her shots yesterday and, again, everyone greeted me warmly, calmed my dog, and were professional and efficient. Dr. Rosales took her time to make my dog comfortable and answer my questions and her tech Kim made the whole visit smooth and easy. I can't recommend this vet practice enough!!

The vet tech Tiara, saw how upset I was and hugged me while I cried! Then, Dr. Helman examined my dog and could see very quickly what the problem was. She explained the issue, laid out the treatment options, and showed me so much compassion. When I decided on which path to take, she said she would put an estimate together. I was expecting the worse, but the cost was a fraction of what I was expecting! This is my new vet now! When I need a vet again, I'm going back to Alta Vista!! I highly recommend this practice!! Really bad experiences at AV. If you go, plan to take a lunch. You're going to be there awhile. My…read moredog has serious anxiety about going to the vet. He shakes. He pees in there. So we were taken to an exam rooom and sat there... and sat there... 45 minutes later, we got up and left. We did not see anybody else come into the exam room. No tech. No vet. Nobody. The next time we went were there about 2 hours. We saw the tech for about 5 minutes. We saw the vet for about 15 minutes. The vet told us she would be right back... an hour later, we left. Never saw her again. I don't care what else is going on. Learn to communicate with the patient owner. We will never go back to AV. They have repeatedly shown they do not care about your time and really your pet. Just horrible service.
