After getting my X-rays & CT scans done at Palm West Hospital in Loxahatchee, Florida . They have not given the results to my doctor who has ordered them . My doctor office says they have called them several times still no response. Some these X rays / CT scan from 2025 & beginning of 2026 . I called and asked them to send the results to my ordering Physician. After they took all my information, then telling me about HIPPA laws. I just want them to do their part. It is very disappointing and disheartening. I already have my copies and have given it to my Physician so to continue with my care. read more

Medical and nursing care were on point for the most part. Came in via ambulance. Told the er what medication I was taking. Was admitted and told the nurse what I was taking. I didn't receive my blood thinner, my heart meds or my thyroid medication for 2 days. Nurse told me they weren't listed and not ordered. I have been here for 2 days and no one has cleaned the floors, papers are still scattered in the room. And lastly I am a dialysis patient. Their dialysis room is so small and they manage to fit 5 to 6 patients in there at a time. There are several machines in there in the way. They were barely able to wheel the beds in and out. I really believe they need a larger space. The technicians were very good at their job. read more

Today I went to this facility ER due to have high blood pressure, they took my blood presure, then they move me to a room, they do a Scan, I dont not why but ok, then a XRay, then they put me in the room. Later on a nurse came telling me that they are waiting for the blood test result, I said what blood test, nobody di a blood test, I said the nurse said, dont they do a blood test in front, I said No. So well, she left and return and they did a blood test, then I was in that room, waiting and waiting, and I ask myself, why they do not do a EKG if I have a cuesta pain, I walked to the nurse country and I ask, they are not supose to do and EKG? So the nurse said they already do one in front I said No. I return to my room and the nurse do the EKG. I never see a doctor in the room, then a PA came and said everything is find we are going to release you. At that moment I explote, I said do you guys dont have a doctor here, no doctor come to see me, if I dont talk nobody do the blood test and the EKG, but I can warranty you that the hospital bill those to my insurance. I was so mad, I also ask if I have a chestbpain you guys never conect me with the blood pressure machine the entire time I am here. God, what a head is happen. I never see any doctor but the name of the Doctor was in the release document. I ask why that doctor name is in the document if he never see me, he never come, I guess because he was not in the facility, he will bill my insurance but he never was there. This facility steal your money. Dont go there help yourself. I will make a complaint with the BBB, because this hospital is horrible practical they steal your money. If you decide to go by your risk, check what they bill to you or your insurance. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. Disguting place. Dr.Warshoff is a man who treats his patients with no regard, letting his bipolar rage run rampant. The office is highly unkept, he screams at older patients, and only cares about buying a new car. I have gone here for three years, and am ultimately leaving. Dr.Warshoff is a doctor who values money and no regard for anyone else. He fired all his original staff and now is left with random hires from indeed. I brought my 3 year old son to the hospital to have dermabond applied to a small laceration on his upper eye lid. We were not asked if we felt comfortable with a student doctor administering the treatment. The treatment was administered in the pediatric waiting room with my son sitting in an upright position. I could see from the way the student opened the package, and how he seemed surprised when the liquid did not immediately come out of the package when he squeezed that he was unfamiliar and was not confident with using dermabond. He squeezed an excessive amount of liquid and immediately backed up instead of holding the cut closed until the liquid dried. When he moved, my child sat up and went to touch his eye, which would have been fine if the student allowed the glue to dry first but this caused my son's eye to be glued shut. After attempted to use water, we were finally moved to a room where Vaseline was used but did not work. Eventually a head ER doctor had to use Nail Polish remover pads to scrub my child's already injured eye enough that he could open his eyes. At this point in time, he still has dermabond stuck to his eyelashes. Upon reviewing the doctors' reports, there are multiple inconsistencies, omissions and flat out lies in order to avoid blame and instead place it on a 3 year old baby. Parents beware read more

Small hospital that seems to do a lot with kids, they are very good with communicating about what to expect and just overall working with frazzled parents. While the ER staff, nurses, radiology, registration, and physicians were very kind I felt humiliated by someone in PACU. I came in for pain in my right side going into my shoulder and chest early Saturday along with a low fever, nausea and vomiting. I figured it was my gallbladder and after tests it was confirmed. The physician was very kind and he explained if he admitted me I would be waiting until Monday there for the surgery so he told me I could go home with pain management and a diet and return Monday to speak with the surgeon and have it removed. He wrote me an RX for pain and nausea meds to hold me over until Monday. I still threw up two of the pain meds. I returned Monday and after some confusion with new physicians and such I did get the surgery Monday. I had never had surgery before so I woke up shaking, confused and in a lot of pain. I didn't curse, yell or say anything rude but I had a lot of anxiety and talked about the pain to the woman sitting with me in PACU. At some point the woman asked the nurse next to her sitting with another patient in PACU "if she wanted to trade patients" because the patient next to me was not anxious or talking. I apologized several times for being annoying because I heard her comment and it embarrassed me so badly. The nurse of the other patient asked him if he was hungry and he said yes and I said I was hungry as well. I hadn't eaten anything in days as I vomited almost everything and and was hungry even though I was in pain and still quite disoriented. The woman sitting with me in PACU said "I thought you were in pain?" in a demeaning, teasing tone that did not feel light-hearted. I felt even more embarrassed coming off of anesthesia and more now. She was also complaining about being there since I suppose it was supposed to be her day off and people kept thanking her for coming in. She left and someone else took over before I was taken to a room. Even If she wasn't rude the entire time, I did feel completely patronized and mocked during a vulnerable time. I've never had anyone in the medical field say such a rude thing in front of my face before. I suppose she thought I wouldn't remember. Bedside manner is important and some people have a great deal of anxiety, especially when they're already completely alone in the hospital, have never had surgery (like me) and are feeling pain that is completely alien to them. While it may just be another Monday for staff in PACU, it could be a terrifying experience for someone else. If you don't want to be there, don't take it out on the patients. As I said, I remember and I was never anything but kind and respectful to this woman. I don't feel I deserved to be embarrassed Iike that in front of my face even if I was disoriented, asking questions and saying I was in pain. On a positive note, all the other nurses, physicians, surgeons & staff were very pleasant and attentive. The rooms were clean and nice. Wait time was very good for the amount of people there. Another problem I had was one of the providers said I would be discharged with three or four days of tramadol since the ER prescribed 12 pain pills on Saturday for me to go home with until Monday when I came back. I was puking up everything so I puked up two of the 12 before I came back Monday for surgery. Whoever discharged me changed their mind and didn't even write an RX for three or four days of tramadol like they said. I was discharged with two pain meds remaining from my first ER visit. I had better pain management for after care when I had my wisdom teeth removed. The provider who discharged me and said she would send me home with three to four days of tramadol wouldn't even speak to me on why she changed the RX. Two leftover pain meds from the ER are gone and Tylenol and an NSAID isn't cutting the pain. I can barely move when I'm supposed to be walking around. So, with the rudeness of the woman in PACU and being discharged with no real pain medication for even three or four days after an operation, I just wouldn't return or recommend this hospital for surgery. read more

it was the most unprofessional experience possible. I was scheduled for outpatient surgery.. They got my last name spelled wrong , got my phone number wrong, so I couldn't fill out any paperwork in advance because the links wouldn't work. They got the bill wrong three times and told me all the previous people who called about the got it wrong and each one next one was the correct one. They had had me scheduled for an extra surgery that was not my surgery. The surgical team never called me from their preop to pass on what time to be there after they told me they would it just went on and on and on. Every time I've come to the ER and Sonia is the admissions nurse, the experience has been unpleasant. She is consistently dismissive, not warm, and seems to lack patience when listening. I understand the ER can be a stressful place and that staff can become desensitized over time, but not every nurse carries themselves this way. Many are compassionate and kind while still being efficient. A little warmth would make a huge difference, especially for families already under stress. Sonia's demeanor is very off-putting and makes a hard situation feel even harder. read more

Palm West Hospital on Monday 15 ,2025 was a very bad day for me bought in by ambulance for pain that I don't think most could bare I was getting test so quickly the last test at 3 separate times they gave my medication 1st doctor came and stated we are setting up the OR you need to have surgery the 2nd doctor came and said if you dont have this surgery you could die they were so passionate with me from the time I arrived 2 hours later I was in surgery Dr Rice did my surgery I had 3 excellent doctors that checked on me through out my stay Dr Johnson and Dr Escobar and Dr Rice who saved my life I was moved to the surgery floor which was so clean but the most important thing is the outstanding Nurses on that floor my God it was the best service I ever had in a hospital my first nurse was Casandra so professional so excellent in taking care of me there the lead nurse Jennifer (Jen) Mindy the gentleman that did my upper GI and his assistant were awesome Nurse Natalie and the 2 nurses I believe Lilly one was training there were many more even the PCT were awesome if I forgot your name please forgive me when I say the days I spent in that hospital I felt cared for and very well token care of Thank you to everyone I had a chance in helping me come through a very hard time you Doctors and Nurses I will always be in my heart for saving my life and helping me heal in peace God Bless you all read more

I'm writing this review after an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at the main entrance of Palms West. As someone who worked at this hospital for nearly 10 years, I've always held it in high regard. I left only to take the next step in my career. What happened last Friday, however, left me deeply disappointed in the way visitors are being treated. I went to visit my sister-in-law, who had just delivered her second child. Upon arriving, I presented my ID to the security guard at the main entrance. The woman on duty, Samya, was shockingly rude and unprofessional from the start. When I gave her the patient's name and floor, she immediately responded with a condescending attitude, questioning me in front of a line of people and making a scene over a simple clarification. Despite me explaining multiple times that both the mother and baby shared the same name, she continued to argue and insisted I cannot go because she could not see the mother, completely ignoring the reality of the situation. I asked her to please check again, but instead of listening, she escalated things further and called the deputy on duty. Only after the nurse supervisor got involved and confirmed what I had been saying all along was I allowed in, with no apology or acknowledgment of her behavior. I wasted nearly 30 minutes outside trying to visit my family during a special and emotional moment, all because of someone's unwillingness to treat people with basic respect. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting that prides itself on patient and family-centered care. I hope leadership takes this seriously, no visitor should ever be subjected to this kind of hostility or disrespect. read more

Dr. Evan Salvati made an error doing my biopsy, which he was fully aware of doing. That error delayed my surgery and treatment and now costing me an "additional" $5000! It's like pulling teeth getting anyone on the phone to address this. Only their billing office wants to talk to me about paying this bill that Dr. Salvati's mistake caused! I was sent to the hospital yesterday by ambulance after a fall. When I arrived at the ER I was pleasantly surprised to recognize Nyromie, the head nurse in that department. What a relief. I had seen her once before during another issue and her demeanor and professionalism were exceptional. Her knowledge of medicine is incredible and I trust her judgment and suggestions for care after leaving the ER. She is attentive and loving and understanding for each patient. My mother had surgery at Palms West Hospital in January and her 10 day stay was a great hospital experience. The RNs, CNAs, cleaning staff, food delivery staff, and doctors on the surgical floor made a true effort to make my mother's stay comfortable. The staff was very good at listening to requests and making the accommodations that they could. I took myself to Palms West Hospital last month for hyper intensive blood pressure. ER Nurse was wonderful. Everyone in the ER were professional and friendly. However, I have been to Palms West ER a few times in the last five or more years. Mostly every time when I needed bloodwork I would have a Paramedic who would mess my arm up not just by a little black and blue mark but for some reason there is always trouble, but this last visit was the worst, I still have a lump from a month ago. The guy kept twisting the needle in my arm trying to get to my vein. My arm was a mess! I'm still putting an ice pack on it and it is still a little swollen on the side where he kept pricking me. It was painful. I'm not a complainer, and have been told I'm a good patient but this is not the first time that I have had a bad experience with a paramedic trying to take my blood. My friend who is a nurse who lives in another state never heard of this; at her hospitals it's always a Nurse in the ER who draws blood. Next time I go I definitely need to remember this! Only a nurse will I allow to draw my blood. read more

By far the best service. We rushed in after my toddler broke his femur and they took us in to a room immediately. One by one al dress and nurses came in to do their part. Very organized. Everyone was gentle and kind. This helped keep him calm and relaxed. After an hour of being there he has always gotten his X-rays, ct scans, and scheduled for surgery. This is my second bad review of this hospital. Went in for having a seizure while asleep and was told I was "just having bad dreams" after CT, MRI and EEG came back clear. A nurse told us to record it the next time it happens. We followed that advice, came back, and were met with "well that's definitely a seizure!!" You think? Was prescribed medication for a month until they ghosted me on getting a refill. Thankfully now with a specialized neurologist and I am indeed epileptic. My husband's Cardiologist sent him to have a Cardio Cath test to see if he had any blocked arteries, needless to say that my husband and I were nervous wrecks . The staff in the Cardiac lab were fantastic. Francesco our Nurse was incredible as well as the Dr. who performed the test. Yesterday my son had a freak accident that caused an open fracture to his foot, which ended up needing surgery. The nurses and doctors at Palms West were absolutely incredible. They moved him to a room in pediatrics within a couple hours of being in the ER, and kept him occupied with toys, board games, coloring books, Mickey ears and movies! We ended up having to stay overnight, but ALL the nurses and doctors that we met with genuinely showed care and incredible bedside manner! I visited Palms West Hospital in the ER department. I was never taken to a room, I was never seen by a physician, and they're about three or four of us that were seen by some nurse that came out to talk to us and asked us personal questions, we all heard everyone's information which was a major HIPAA violation. I never left the lobby yet. I paid a co-pay of $500 through my insurance which was fine, but got two separate bills for Emergency services for $172 and a radiology Bill. I was never seen by physician! This is outrageous and there was HIPAA violations - I heard other peoples personal information. I heard their diagnosis because everybody was being seen in the lobby. read more

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this hospital. I work in healthcare and so appreciate great service. It sets you apart. Arrived in the ER with unknown diagnosis, possible sepsis. I was taken from waiting room to ER in minutes. From the intake through the emergency Room the nurses or top notch. Friendly and very efficient. While I remained in the Hall in the ER, I get it they're packed. Got me up to the floor and in a room. Turned out I had double pneumonia. Every single member of their staff was better than the one before them. Dietary, respiratory therapy, housekeeping and floor staff could not have been nicer. Being in the hospital is no fun, but they made my week stay very pleasant. Glad to have had a full recovery thanks to their wonderful staff. Thanks Palms West. You are the best! The staff at Palm West is amazing. I am a first time mom. I brought my little bundle of joy into the world 06/18 at 11:10 am. It was honestly the best birthing experience making the experience empowering and everything I never thought I would have. The staff was encouraging and positive every step of the way from L/D to Discharge. I was given so much information as a new parent without being overwhelming. They were attentive without intruding on my family getting to know each other. A comforting presence there to do a job but still show they care. Do not go here for outpatient surgery . Everyone up front is great then you get to the back and it's a dark , dated , pit of despair . Dirty linen with crusted goo on my sheet on my gurney(yep no beds actual gurneys) no pillows. Nurse (Liesa) was angry we insisted on a clean sheet. She was already angry my husband came back with me so this just sheet thing made her worse. I'm pretty upset by now Anesthesiologist came in , he says he has only has one drug at his disposal to mildly sedate me for surgery. It's of course the one I do not want used, he says there is no other option, gets mad , Liesa summons him and he walks out never to be seen again. I'm really upset now and no one cares. I'm listening to the announcement over loudspeakers that my surgeon has arrived yet still No one comes to give me a line for IV fluids or get me comfortable on the gurney. I get set up on the gurney with my husbands help, I'm in the robe they left for me and I'm extremely upset by now and still no one cares. I figure surgeon and anesthesiologist will come in together , we will discuss a plan and do it.. instead... The surgeon, who was so pleasant at our appt , comes in and he's mad too?? Tells us surgery is cancelled etc etc and he isn't interested in being my doctor anymore. Way to treat a scared patient who needs an operation. read more

Horrible! Although there was some nice nurses, majority of them were rude. I came in for some minor complications and I just wanted to make sure I was okay. Rather be safe than sorry. They treated me as if I was faking and lying , although I told them multiple times that it wasn't drastic it just concerned me because I was feeling very dizzy/faint. I heard multiple nurses making jokes about patients being absolutely rude and insensitive to people who were in pain. I would not recommended coming here at all, nope not worth it. read more

Palms West ER is horrible, the staff is very unpleasant, unreliable, and unprofessional in they way they care for patients. They're rude and do not have the compassion to be nurses or to assist patients in any form of medical. My family went to the hospital and from the mom we walked in we were looked at by this one particular nurse in a negative way, she wasnt helpful in anyway possible and made sure we knew she didn't want us there. I would not recommend this hospital to no one and dad thing is when I lived in Royal Palm Beach this was my favorite hospital for everything but not NOW! Avoid at all costs. ER is a madhouse. Lack of space during construction. Halls are lined with beds as far as the eye can see. Ran out of beds so patients are sitting in chairs all day. So overloaded, patients are hooked up to IVs in the lobby/ waiting room. Zero privacy. I feel sorry for the doctors and nurses but mostly feel sorry for the poor patients like my 92 year old dad who had the bad luck to have to visit this ER today. Stay away ! Recently I had surgery and I can say the care I received was excellent. However the room Was filthy! I could see the dust balls And dirt ingrained in the floors. Particularly the bathroom, the floors were Dirty. I stayed two nights the garbage Cans 2 kept over flowing. In fact the aide Removed the garbage two days. I did see the housekeeper wash with A mop that just pushed the dirt around. This is was concerning to me because The counters, sink and shelving was Not wiped down. Very dirty. Honestly I was scared I would Catch a disease while there. I'm surprised osha has not fined them read more
